Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
Getting 7500 at this point is good place for me to be. From being very sedentary to getting 7500 steps, is a miracle. I will probably up this to 10,000 in time. I'm trying to eliminate some things that I have incorporated and are not helping. Saving the coffee for a treat once in awhile is a MUST! Thank you!

VGS
I did suffer a mild attack after surgery. I have changed my diet and don't eat shrimp often anymore. That seems to have helped. If anything I would think the surgery would help. Best to ask your Dr what he/she thinks. Good luck!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
I wear a Fitbit and try to get 7500 steps by walking and daily activities. I'm eating more calories now and am really trying, it just seems to be so slow. I'm scared. I really would like to get to 200. My Dr says 180, but I will need some plastics at either weight. Thank you for the encouragement! And, Go Hawks!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
In 10 days it will be 5 months. I'm concerned because I only lost 5 pounds in June and only 1 pound so far this month. It seems bad habits are creeping back.

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
Is it too early to be concerned about not having enough weight loss? My restriction has lessened and I'm losing at a snail's pace. I'm so concerned. I lost about 5 pounds in June. Should I have had gastric bypass? How early is it to consider a revision? Help!!

Is this too much??
I was over 50 BMI when I first had surgery. I lost 43 pounds the first month. 4.5 months later I'm at 66 pounds. My weight loss has slowed to a snail's pace. I think it eventually the weight slows down and I had a 3 week stall after the first month. Good luck!

Plateau for last 4+ years
What about a revision? To say gastric bypass?

I've asked this before, but...
It feels a little more nauseating than a pain. It's random and I can't seem to pinpoint a reason why it happens. My PA said maybe it is a stomach cramp. I feel it is not an emergency so I will just bring it up Aug 23 at my 6 month checkup. Thank you for your response!?

I've asked this before, but...
I have an ache in my stomach. It is not always constant. But, it comes and goes. It situated lower in my stomach. I had a burning pain and nausea before surgery and it was located below my sternum. Could this be the same thing just lower, because they reshape the stomach with the sleeve? I do not know how to describe it. Maybe it's a burning? I'm not sure. In any case it makes me feel ill for the moment. Thank you for any input you may have. Also, I see my PA in 6 weeks, so I definitely will bring it up. I was having ot before and discussed it with her at 2 months post-op and she said we may need to do a scope, which at this point I say YES! Also, I'm almost 5 months post-op.

Had Emergency Surgery Just Now
So sorry to see this happening to you. Hopefully you are on the mend!?

New Convert of the Sleeved
I wouldn't stress about it today. I think eventually you will be able to eat things in moderation, probably not to the extent we all have eaten in the past. Once you start trading weight loss for food, I think it will get easier. Good luck!!

Do you know your bougie size?
Does that mean the stomach is only a half inch wide? Just curious.

Information post surgery
I waited to just recently to try it and I'm 4.5 months post-op. I can't eat a lot, but is nice to get a bit. No problems eating it.

Do you know your bougie size?
No, but I have my 6 month post-op in 1.5 months and I'm going to ask my PA. I love her so much and is even better than my Dr. I will let you know. Tonight I ate 3 chicken wings and half a slice of pizza and I feel like I'm dying a hour and a half later. I'm so full, so my restriction seems very tight.

Weight loss plateau already?
I had a 3 week stall after initially losing 43 pounds after the first month. Even now I have only lost 66 pounds and am losing very slow. So, I think it is totally normal to stall and then lose slow. Good luck!

How supportive was your GP?
Where are you located? Maybe someone could refer you to a different Dr and you could switch. I have a very supportive female Dr and she was totally on board. Good luck!

I need a f*#+ing drink
I had a coffee nudge at 4 months, so about 2 weeks ago. I don't drink often so I was quite buzzed. Be careful and ask your Dr.

Sleeve or RNY
I can only speak for vsg, asthis is the procedure I had. My recovery was not easy. I had a hard time getting fluids in. I had fluids 2x to help me along my recovery. The pain was just awful for about 10 days, but thank God for the pain medication. I have no hunger like before surgery. I do however get an ache in my stomach, but it doesn't last long and I'm not sure if it's related to hunger. I am 4.5 months post-op and still have a good amount of restriction. I can eat about a cup of food now and can tolerate almost all foods. I however try and eat protein first before vegetables and fruit. I find it can be a slippery slope, because I'm afraid I could probably graze every 3 hours, so I really have to be mindful of what I eat. I'm not sure if this is also true of gastric bypass? I said I would never do gastric bypass, but we will see what the future holds about a possible conversion. My Dr wanted me to do the DS for the best outcome to prevent my diabetes from returning. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm losing very slow right now and it concerns me. I hope you make the best choice for yourself! Good luck!

Falling hair
I take a bariatric multivitamin and hair, skin & nails vitamins. O don't think it helps. I'm also losing hair rapidly. I have plenty of hair, but still worried. Im also 4.5 months out. I can feel short stubby hairs all over in my scalp coming in, so maybe that is a good sign it will be growing back soon. Good luck!

February 2019 weight loss buds
I think, and I could be wrong, that NSV stands for non-surgical victory.
