Hi I’m very concerned about my husband getting this surgery... He has suffered from Gout for more than 12 years... and we really have t found any info on Gout and the VSG... any info from some one already having Gout before and how they are doing now long term is greatly appreciated! Thanks

I did suffer a mild attack after surgery. I have changed my diet and don't eat shrimp often anymore. That seems to have helped. If anything I would think the surgery would help. Best to ask your Dr what he/she thinks. Good luck!
