Don’t want to leave my house.
This story could have been about me. Today I love to go out, even to eat. I can sit in a booth now and I have extra room. I don't feel like people are staring at me. I still have a long way to go, but 69 pounds has broken me out of my shell! Good luck to you on your journey!

I am scared to get GERD, please give me advice
You are very knowledgeable! This is why I chose the vsg, if needed I can revise, which I prefer not, but we will see what the future holds. My Dr wanted me to do the DS, but I refused, for now.

Needy worry wart newbie here!
I agree with the above poster. Do NOT stock up on protein. Try samples AFTER surgery. I spent so much money and I couldn't tolerate whey protein after surgery. What a waste, I gave it all away. Yes, your taste buds change, but you will find you love food after surgery. It takes awhile because eating at first can cause pain, but you will get more in eventually. Good luck!

Help! Experiencing terrible cramps
Cream of wheat gave me terrible stomach cramps. I thought I needed to call 911 it was so bad. It was either too thick or I ate it too fast.

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
Thanks so much! I've lost a couple more pounds and I'm so happy! At 69 pounds lost!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
I understand how you feel. I've had a stall for just about 2 weeks and also lost 5.1 pounds in June. I've only lost 2 pounds since July 1st. I feel a little unsure why, because I still don't eat that much that I should ney be losing quicker. I'm a week away from being 5 months post-op and my 6 month checkup is in 5 weeks. I don't want to disappoint my Dr's. But, I will try eating less, because I want to get to 75 pounds loss by then.

February 2019 weight loss buds
I know how you two ladies are feeling! It's such a struggle, even with weight loss surgery! Definitely able to eat more myself. ? I definitely am trying to reach for fruit and vegetables with the extra room. I've done fairly well at staying away from sweets. Thank goodness we have each other to understand how it is and to encourage each other. I have 90 more pounds to lose and it is overwhelming to say the least! Good luck to everyone!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
Thankfully the scale is moving ever so slowly the last 2 days. I've been in a 2 week stall, and I do not take in enough calories that I shouldn't be losing weight.

I'm not sure, are you speaking of me or Seahawks fan? I would consider another surgery down the road if I didn't get to a decent goal. My Dr wanted me to do DS, but I was not willing to do that at the time. I have diabetes and need to lowe more weight to get it into remission.

Protein
Fair life milk has 13 grams per cup. They also have chocolate. I lived off plain milk and YQ high protein yogurt.

Hormonal changes like acne after WLS??
Yes, I've had a problem with it since surgery. I have adult acne, although it is not horrible, I have had to go on antibiotics a few times before to help clear it up. I mostly have a problem with acne in my scalp since surgery. I was told it is normal although I'm in menopause. It will get better.

New Drink it is heaven!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
I eat yogurt for breakfast every day. I had chicken salad for lunch and I'm planning on having eggs for dinner. I'm not eating a bunch of crap. I can now get in more food above my 80 grams of protein, so I eat vegetables and a serving of fruit. Today I will have 10 Rainier cherries as they are in season here.

Where will you be 9 months from now?
This is amazing! I hope to be at 80 pound loss at 9 months. I've been on a plateau for 2 weeks and feel a bit discouraged, but I'm going to keep the faith I will move forward, or downward! Lol Congratulations!!???

Medication
I was told to crush my pills for one month. However, at my 2 week follow up my PA told me I could start taking pills. I've had no problems. I have been on this site continuously for the past year and have seen people that are instructed to take pills immediately. If it makes you feel better you could crush them. Just be sure to check with the pharmacist, some shouldn't be crushed. Good luck!

Asking older sleevers, did I make a mistake?
You, too, are my inspiration! I read the story you recently posted about how far you have come! I have to say WOW! It made me tear up and even now it is making me emotional. I have a similar story, so I just am so inspired. I do need to stop drinking Starbucks! 180 calories doesn't seem much, but I think they under estimate the calories, so for now, I'm giving it up and I will save money and probably kickstart my weightloss again! Thank you so much!!??
