    We could go somewhere in downtown Overland Park... There's a coffeeshop there called Mildreds... I haven't been there in years, but I'm pretty sure it still exists. What areas are convenient for people? There's a Winsteads near there I think.

    OMG panera addiction alert. i used to go there all the time before banding. it would make me after-thanksgiving stuffed. actually, i was probably more stuffed post-panera than post-thanksgiving. I just called the 75th & Antioch location, they are only open until 8pm.
  5. It's different for anyone. I try to stay below 30g net carbs per day (and only subtract fiber, not sugar alcohols). I know people who try to stay below 45g. It depends too many things to say for sure. But I only get carbs from veggies, legumes, beans, etc. I don't eat breads, crackers, sweets, etc.

    Robyn, I'm super uncoordinated too. I will be swimming and be like "Oh, right, I'm supposed to be kicking too!" I must look like I'm drowning half the time. But I don't mind. Right now I'm in the Brookside/Plaza area. I live with my parents (Woohoo I'm a way-cool 22 year old)

    I am also going in for a fill next friday. Mine's at 230, so maybe I will see you there. I'm going for fill #2. I have 4 ccs so far in my VG. I am definitely ready for some more. Robyn, thanks for the PM. We should definitely bring this up at the next meeting. This will also be a good way for me to keep in touch once I move. So I started swimming a few days ago. Seriously, when was the last time you guys went swimming? It is HARD. But I like it. I'm such a media junkie that it's nice to have 30 minutes or so where I don't have music/reading/tv etc. Did we decide about where we are going post-meeting. I'm a MO gal too btw.

    What if her legal guardian raped her? Or beat her? Or forced her to carry the baby to term endangering her health? Doesn't a 16 or 14 or 13 year old have rights?

    I don't think that's necessarily true. I would have some of them if I were to make my own society/laws (Don't kill, steal, or harm... I'm not quite sure what it means to not cheat or protect innocence....) Morality and religion aren't necessarily fused.

  11. Thanks Angela. I feel like I'm stuck in a week from hell. My mind has completely left me - I feel like I can't remember anything. Honestly, I feel like my brain is completely dead and can't hold a charge even if I try recharging. I missed my appt with Sabapathy this afternoon - I forgot! Unbelievable. I'm a 22 right now, which means I'm wearing a bunch of clothes I bought like 2-3 years ago.
  12. I haven't received it yet, so I can always see. And I'll definitely ask next Friday at my fill. Currently, both. I will be back here to visit family, but I also have set up a fill dr. in NO just in case. I wanted to make sure I had someone down there in case I really needed a fill/unfill.
  13. Can they change that retroactively though? I mean I had surgery and signed a thing saying that I would have free fills for a year.

  15. Thanks Robyn! I'm sorry to hear about your port. Is insurance covering all these? Or is Hoehn cutting a deal with you? Unbelievable. At least through all the problems, you have still lost weight. I'm so excited for support group Thursday. I kept confusing 4th Thursday of month w/ Last thursday of month. Holli e-mailed me, I'm totally down for coffee or whatever. It'll be nicer than just standing around conference room a or the hallway It's been a stressful time lately, it'll be good to just be able to relax with some Hoehnites (Hoehnanians? Hoehnsters? Hoehnans?) I'm definitely looking forward to it. When's the surgery?

    Hey Guys

    I think you should switch to 3 meals of solids, instead of protein drinks all day. They will keep you full longer. Start journaling your food and count your protein, carbs, calories, etc.
  18. I'm six weeks out. I've whitened my teeth, highlighted my hair, shaved my legs, enjoyed clothes more, worn more jewelry, worn makeup more consistently. You feel better about yourself and you celebrate it

It was $30. And when I go to the doctor's office, it is usually within 1-3 lbs. of this weight (which makes sense, clothes, food/drink, etc.).
