Thanks Christie, i watched your videos, they were so inspirational, i am 3 days post now and still hungry, but now i have this ping kinda pain in my lower right side that is aggravating me, always worried about a leak, did you worry constantly about leaking or is it just me. I do hope the hunger is more manageable down the road. thanks for listening.....vicki~

I dont know humpty, i am a light weight in comparison, so he says, weighed in at 219 and 5'5", but he said he was shocked at the size of my stomach... so, I wonder if there are super obese patients with small stomachs.. Huh, I asked him if he took a pictrure with his camera phone and he said he didn't LOL...

Wow, sorry your not feeling too good sac, i had mine done mon. afternoon and was home less than 24 hrs later (yesterday) i am sore, but not vomiting, in fact, i woke up in recovery starving, how wierd is that, i was hungry yesterday too but today i just feel sore and weak, not hungry, coughing some junk up had a sore throat yesterdaY, thought i was getting sick, but the sore throat is gone today, i am jus the opposite, i feel like i could drink a whole glass of anything and that worries me, eg am i going to drink too much or is my sleeve small enough? anyway, i feel like im rambling, probably the drugs hehe...hope you feel better soon keep in touch *HUGS* vicki~~

thanks val, yeah, i was surprised myself, i too went for a fill like LLL and he said lets do it asap and 3 1/2 weeks later, im done. when i go to the other site for sleeve there are sooo many people switching from band to sleeve and they are all happy, i hope it all goes well with us. today i am not hungry, and my weight from the IV fluids are coming off cause i gained 9 lbs from surg and now only up 3, so that is good. im still nervouse about a leak, i guess 3 weeks is the magic number. didn't u say u didn't have a jp drain? which reminds me, i have to call for my post op.....glad ur doing well val and LLL.... and Hey to all my band siters too....HUGS vicki

Hey Dee, doing good, a bit sore, but not much worse than the band, but what really baffles me is im hungry LOL... but some people say they were too, it takes a couple weeks to get the grehlin out of your system...thanks for keeeping in touch, meant alot. keep in touch...vicki~~

Hi guys, I'm home went to surgery late approx 2:30 was in my room by 7 pm and discharged this morn at 11;00, Feeing ok and believe it or not im hungry and was in recovery, that scares me, i have a drain and am on liquids but can have v 8 choc prot. shakes, jello creamed soups etc, the pain so far is no worse than the band at this point...so i got the scale and im up 8 lbs after the doctor told me my stomach was monstrous so shouldn't that have weighed at least 8 lbs....dont listen to me, im on drugs .LOL

Dr H said my stomach monsterous, He said with big eyes, i never seen a stomach as big as your EVER... r u all jelous....

Lisa, i have a question, how can they stretch their pouch and we cant, when they have more stomach removed than we do, ive heard this before and i dont understand it. hwo can they gain their weight back when they have had more extensive surgery than us?

OK, so i called and of course dr H. called me back, and i was like, uh, how cleaned out do u want me...LOL...and he said, oh, honey dont worry about it we are not messing with your colon. huh? so why am i drinking this nasty crap. anyway, so that is that, he said i'll prob. go later...hahaha. if i wasn't so embaressed i would cry or something....:wink2:

So, tomorrow is my surgery, i had to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate and they said if no results in 3 hours to call the office, it has been almost four hrs and im embarresed to call...wtf,....what do i say, i didn't poop? duh, this is terrible, im scared to pieces and now i have to deal with this! well, everyone say prayers for me surg is at 11:30. talk to ya soon...:wink2:

It is the day before surg. and i am suppose to have a high protien breakfast eg, eggs, bacon, sausage etc and im sitting here trying to get a protien shake to go down, i am so nervous, i can't eat, at noon i have to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate and then, well, you know. So, i am trying to calm my nerves, but it is not working. Any words of encouragement are soooo appreciated. my surg, is at 1130, need to be at the hosp at 8:30. nothing but clear fluids after noon today and npo after mid, of course.....why am i rambling?

Miss Daisy, i keep seeing over an over about how the bypass patients regain, and their malabsorbtion tendencies dissapear. what i don't understand is if their stomach is "bypassed", how is it not better than the sleeve when we still have part of our stomach? i'm confused, why wouldnt we gain our wt back too. tsvm...vicki:blink:
