EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, SOMETIMES I GET FILLS AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN U GET CLOSE TO UR SWEET SPOT, JUST A LITTLE CAN PUT YOU OVER AND CAUSE YOU TO GET STUCK. THE FILLS DONT REALLY HURT, HOFFMAN USED TO USE A LITTLE NOVACAIN, BUT NOW NO ONE DOES, THE NEEDLE IS BIG, BUT IT ONLY GOES A LITTLE WAYS IN AND THEN IT IS IN THE PORT, SO ITS NOT DEEP.. VET, THATS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO TELL U FOR A LONG TIME THAT I NEVER FELT FULL, IT SUCKS REALLY, YOU JUST FEEL IT IN YOUR CHEST AND NOT YOUR STOMACHE??? WELL, GURLFRIEND, WELCOME TO MY WORLD.....LOL.. OOPS SORRY BOUT THE CAPS, FORGOT TO TURN IT OFF...:thumbup:

I asked her to take out half, but she was pi**ed off that Hoff wouldn't come back in and she said i feel like just deflating u and i said just cause ur mad at him, dont take it out on me, and she say oh im not taking it out on u really nice like but i know she is, just to spite him...and it takes me about two weeks to feel the fill and I have always said i never feel it in my lower stomach, im always hungry, even if my pouch is ready to explode...

update: 4 pm office is closing and im on my way to get unfilled. barb stayed to unfill me 1.2cc, so i am going backwards, filled .7 at 12 and unfilled 1.2 at 4pm. sigh... this sucks so bad, have to go back tues. for .5 cc fill. i was at 5cc and some air so i cant hold as much as i could before the revision which was almost 6cc. confused yet? me too....

uh oh, just got back from the hoff and gained 7 lbs in 6 weeks, he gave me a fill, i asked how much cause he said a smidge and then he said .75, i said wow that was a hefty one and he said well it might be .7 or .6 and so i got in the car and drank my iced t all the way home, fine, everything going thru. then, i took 2 tylenol and OMG, it is rolling around in my esophogus for the last 45 min, and now i am burping foam, i guess i should go get rid of it, i have been sitting here hoping it would go down, but no... i dont know what to do anymore....he is putting me back in aqua therapy cause my knees, hip, back and everything else is hurting so bad i cant walk to far, i need prayers girls....xoxoox

wow, how long does that go on. are u still in pain or is that pretty much over?

Good for you BG, i go on wed and i know i have gained about 5 lbs. I think I will try a fill this time since i havent had one in 3 months, hope it works, still scared to prolapse again. i wonder what would happen, i dont think medicare would pay for another surg but not sure...miss u guys. talk to u soon :biggrin:

I would rather not have this stuck feeling, eating a small amt and feeling satisfied would be much better for me, it is too late, but if i had to do it again i think i would have gone with the sleeve...

That place is a train wreck~~~:thumbup: I dont think i need a fill, even though im up and down the same 7 lbs. up at this point, i cant eat anything in the am and then i eat alot of yogurt, but calorie for calorie i feel i am not overdoing the cal count, but def the carb count. even when i did atkins i only lost 7 lbs, and as soon as i went back to south beach i gained it back...grrrrrrrr... i feel like im doing the same routine i was doing before the surgery :thumbup: Hey vet, we lost the same amt of wt....lol

Yeah, I'm probably one who cannot eat any carbs, because the first yr and a half, i ate no carbs at all and thats when i lost the most wt. but then why did i have surg. wouldnt i have lost it anyway on an atkins like diet? i wish i could eat what i want just less of it like its suppose to be. oh well, how r u doing val, with the sleeve, can u eat without getting stuck like the band, do u just feel full like a normal stomach would, how is the wt loss since ur surg.

wow, i am soooo depressed, in march right before my revision i weighed 185, i am now 217, and it seems that no matter what i do, i cant lose any weight, i have incorperated carbs into my diet, but it seems everyone is eating carbs what the hell is wrong with me..

well all, called lisa this a.m., and told her i can't take this anymore, on mothers day, took my meds at 8:30 a.m. and at 6 p.m., i brought up something without effort, and when i took it out of my mouth, it was my protonix!!! with the name clearly marked on the pill along with the coating, just like it came out of the bottle! anyway, the earliest they can get me in for the barrium swallow is mon. the 18th @'8:30... i just hope i'm tight and don't have a slipped band like he suggested a few weeks ago..i'll keep you guys posted...vicki

not really sure rain, DR H. said to stop taking my potassium meds and to stop downstairs on my next appt date to have the test done, he said lisa would schedule it and she did for 8:30 am.. Someone said he was going out of town, so maybe he didn't want to deal with it now..I;m not really sure. he said if he had to operate, it wouldnt be as bad as the first surg!!!!!:thumbup: OMG i hope it;s not slipped.

val, thanks for responding. Actually, i too thought I was just too tight, but I was surprised to hear the Hoff say he thinks my band slipped, I pray it is only too much fill. I wonder why he didn't just take a little out to see? I am glad you are doing well, I will let you know what he says. I think my appt is june 3. :thumbup:

hi guys! haven't been on in a long time took a couple vacations, visited my daughter and grandchildren in georgia and yakity yak yak......any way, during my vacation, i was plagued by horrible heart burn and could hardly eat anything, i went to hoffman last tues. and he says my band may have slipped and i have to go for a barrium swallow in 4 weeks. I have lost 83 lbs and the hoff says when you lose that much that the band can slip cause your stomach also loses weight. OMG, i am so scared, cause he said if it is so, i will have to have another surg!!!! also, all of a sudden the last two days i can eat endless amounts of food and that is another sign of a slipped band cause it slips downward and your pouch is much larger..anyone ever have a slippe band or know anyone with one, please let me know, i am terrified. I have 5.8 cc in my band now, when i hear what you all have it seems like alot, but the doc says between 5-7 cc is normal for maintanance. thanx for listening vicki

Hey all, I haven't been on for some time now. Got a fill 3 weeks ago, and as of this morning, i have lost 10 lbs. But i am always wondering if it is water loss or gain, since i seem to go up and down. also, i am not sure if i am too tight or eating too much since i am constantly pb ing. any way, good to see everyone doing well. talk later......vicki

I would just call any apnea place, i go to apnea care and i am sure they will tell you if your ins. covers and how much..mine is covered, but i have medicare..good luck

I had my surg in june and my apnea machine has been titrated down 3 times from 18 to 12 and now it is set at 8, so if your having problems, get the machine to take home for a week and then you dont have to do another sleep study..

Linda, i am intrigued, what does a nutrutionist/therapist actually do..? also is that $15-25 per person...i am assuming. how long would the session be? my e-mail is vslawich4@aol.com..let me know more..vicki

buckets, you sound like you have too much restriction..it happened to me and i had to have some removed. dont mess around, call the doc. cause you could make the band slip and have to have further surgery..good luck vicki

Thank you so much Linda, it meant a lot to me, just to here those words..Also, before i forget, I have some clothes here for you. size 6-7 boys and some boys and girls clothes from infant to 12 mos. i think....I forgot where to bring them, let me know vicki
