    APPROVED - Aetna POS II

My sleep apnea study was the hold up. I had to have the sleep study done again. It was much worse, so once the new study was submitted, I was approved. That was on my second appeal. Aetna must respond in 15 calender days. The first two times (with denials due to "not significant" sleep apnea) it took the 15 days. With the new sleep study, I had an answer in four days. Make sure you send your medical records with two years history in with your paperwork. I had to send those in the first appeal because my doc had only noted I had a two year history with no proof. Good luck! Let me know if you have any more questions!

    APPROVED - Aetna POS II

I was just approved by Aetna yesterday. I did not have an exercise person. The nutritionist and the doctor noted I was exercising. I had four visits with both which is the three full months Aetna requires. Hope this helps.
  3. I thought I was good to go with Aetna. I had all my nutrition and doctor visits, etc. Come to find out, my sleep apnea isn't what Aetna considers "clinically significant" even though I sleep with a CPAP every night for four years. I guess I will go and retest and hope for the worst, or best in this case. I am very disappointed, though. I'm not sure my sleep apnea has gotten any worse in the past four years.

    One More Step Closer!! YEAY!!

Good luck to you. I have Aetna and they said my sleep apnea was not "clinically significant" even though I sleep with a CPAP every night and feel bad if I don't. So disappointing.... I have jumped through all the hoops and appoinments for three months to find out I still can't get approved. I am thinking about having the test again since it was 4 years and 20lbs ago. Maybe it has gotten more severe. If not, then I guess it won't happen for me. I refuse to try to gain weight so that I can lose it.
  5. well, I should have read down a little further and I would have seen that you don't have any. So, disregard my last post. I'll just have to believe you are my twin and that's what I can become! lol....

  6. hello, you look amazing from what I can tell from the little picture. i was looking for more. We are about the same BMI (when you started) and age... I was curious about the "before" you and how tall you might be. It is hard to find someone close to your size to see what you CAN become! You are an inspiration.

    Am I Full or Stuck!?

You are going to make that 200lbs! I saw your ticker and went WOWWWW!!! Congrats early to you because I have no doubt you will see 200lbs go bye bye!
  8. Hi, I am very curious about your journey because we are close in size. I have one more nutritionist appoinment before my paper work will be submitted to the insurance company. Please keep up to date weights for us nosey people! Thanks!!!!

  9. well, I can't answer your question but was compelled to talk. Sometimes I am just chatty. At any rate, I have been doing the same 90 day thing for Aetna. I have lost about 5 but can't seem to stay on track. I keep thinking that I am never going to be able to eat a big meal again, and IN IT GOES! I am going to have to fast these last few weeks for my final weigh in. I hope you get approved because I feel your pain!!
  10. Tomorrow evening all of it will be one less thing you have to worry about. You will be fine!!! Keep your eye on the goal. If this doesn't work out, you are right, it happened for a reason.
