Were you able to get the lapband fixed? New Doc? I can't believe your post. These healthcare professionals are not professionals...........Consult a new Doc and lawyer....

Thanks Xavier. It's been a wild experience to say the least. I feel good. Need to go in for a port revision Monday. I can't believe that I've lost so much weight that the port is sticking out of my belly. Should be a simple procedure.( I hope).
Don't compare......Your pace is your pace which is good. As long as you are losing, so what. We always tell each other this is not a diet but a journey. The journey is shorter or longer for each person. Still a great journey !!

Hi Dennis,
Doing well. Just back from a week out on the boat. Even lost a pound. Down 77-78 lbs. I go for an adjustment tomorrow am.
How are you ?? Taking any vacation ??

Don't be terrified. Getting stuck wa my own fault. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Good Luck !!

Congrats to you too.....I've had two fills for a total of 5.75 cc's out of a 10 cc band. Now I have restriction. If your Doc didn't put any fluid in at the time of surgery, you might need two before you can feel the band working.
Keep in touch.........

Thanks Cali - Doing well. Sticking to small portions even though I not really losing weight. First fill is tomorrow so hopefully I can get restriction and start to see the weight come off. I need to see results otherwise I get fustrated. However, I'm in it for the long haul so it will come off eventually. How about you?? How are you doing?

I don't have sleep apnea. My problem was sleeping on my back verses stomach. I normally sleep on my stomach but while I was healing the first week I had to sleep on my back which was difficult for me. All is ok now....Thanks for asking.....

Hi Dennis - I went on the total liquid diet yesterday. However, I started a modified program on my own to ease into this. Last week I started having one protein shake with a banana for breakfast, 2 shakes and a apple for lunch followed with a nice dinner with my wife so it actually helped me get into this week.
I'm waiting to hear from Aetna..........it's been a week already, so I'm getting on the phone today.

Susie - Good luck with your surgery. I'm trying to stay away from that last meal syndrome as it's difficult for me to control. So this week I've decided to have a protein drink for breakfastwith a banana, 2 for lunch with an apple and a nice dinner with my wife. I go liquid for two weeks on Monday. Stay in touch.....John
