sooo after seeing my doctor and the nurse.... they both mentioned I really need to start to watch what I eat....

so I lost 10 lbs just by watching a few things.... gained it back in a few days.. what a surprise!....lol

.... I was told my pre-op diet would be liquids (boost) for two weeks.....

now, will two weeks on liquids be enough to shrink down my liver? ....what if I keep loosing and gaining like I just finished doing?....I do hope to loose some weight before my lap band..... but what if? :thumbup:

My surgery is in two in a half to three months away....... the nurse told me to start exercising now....and to watch my weight... (for my liver) ...what is the best foods to eat?? what foods should I stay away from???:cursing:

Well I didn't find out my surgery date :cursing:....... but Im pretty sure it is sometime in January... so that is still a long wait.....but everything went well when I saw my surgeon...

found out I have to go on liquids for 2 WEEKS!!! :cursing:

OK.....I saw my surgeon about 10 months ago..... told him I was 100% sure I wanted to get the lap band..... 10 months later (friday) I got my call back to go see him on monday (tomorrow) ..:thumbup:...so.... is he going to let me know when my sergury date is? ...when did you find out your surgery date?

I guess I will find out tomorrow.....but Im just so excited!....and can not wait:lol:

I just got my callback!..... I go see my surgeon monday morning....... I have been waiting for 10 months!

Now what I would really like to know....is how long do I wait now? ...how much more time until my surgery?

Im nurvous ....excited.... happy! and surprised...I thought I was going to have to wait until 2010 for my call....sorry if I sound so excited.....but I only told 2 pple.... reason is Im choosing NOT to tell pple........ no thank you...Im finally doing something for myself and I feel great about my decision....I don't need other people giving me any negitive feedback!

I have my mothers sholder...and my hubbies..... thats all I need!:closedeyes:

Hello everyone...I like to start off by saying all your stories and advice are awsome! I can't think of a question that hasn't already been asked or talked about.... sucess stories are great also!

sooo Im in the early stage of the whole pro-op stages... pretty much saw my surgen once and was told that I am 100% covered! scared ...nurvous.... ecxited.... 99% sure Im getting it done! like I said in another forum...most of the time Im 100% sure Im getting the Lap band!

Im sure I will be getting to know a few of you on here... my Name is Wendy Im 30 years old I weigh 290 lbs ...Im 5'5 ....and Im so ready for a change ....so ready to be healthy!!!!!! I have a husband and a 30 month old daughter....

99% sure Im getting it done ( 100% sure most of the time) .....

I wasn't to sure about it at first...everyone was soooo negative! ...so I told everyone that I wasn't going to get it done. I told my mom...husband and one friend that I really might do it.... and also told them not to tell anyone.... people just don't get it....and Im sure they never will.... I mean how could they ,,,they have never been this over weight!

Im scared... nervous... and so greatful for all of you! this site has everthing you could possibly think of asking ....and more!!!

I'v seen my surgen...just have to wait for the doctor to switch to a new office with my file and the process will start!
