So, after all the headache I've gone through with my band, I'm losing it. After an endoscopy that came back clean, I went to get my first fill in over 6 months. When I got my fill, it hurt in the chest real bad. But then we discovered that there was a leak after we inserted 10cc but can only pull out 6cc. So, Doctor is referring me to have the band removed and possibly reinstalled :-(

So, any news? How's your last leg of the race going? Are you still warming up or have you starting to make the run?

So, how are you feeling? Band life all you thought it would be? :tongue2: I'm still having some gas discomfort, but definitely manageable. I hope it's treating you well. Did you take any pics of your incisions?

Thank you so much! I just had my surgery earlier today. The gas pains are stomach pains, I can feel. I think I need to use some pain killers. Thanks for checking up on me. I'm excited to start this journey.

To give the update, on my journey, the past couple weeks I've been having serious chest pains. Went to the doc to have it looked at, and he unfilled me to see if it'd help. Still pains, and now I've gained a couple pounds. I just got back from a work trip in Alaska and I need to setup a visit with my doc. Until then, it's back to good ol' will power and exercise. Hopefully we can figure out whats going on with me. Wish me luck!

To my understanding the insurance covered the replacement. Hell, it cost me less out of pocket for the replacement than the original by A LOT. I originally got my surgery through Beverly Hills Physicians which cost me $4000 out of pocket (with insurance), and the replacement was done at Cedars Sinai which was only $300 out of pocket (with insurance). Really wish I didn't go through Beverly Hills Physicians originally!

Under 1200 Calories a Day and working out? Do you have enough energy to make it through the day and/or workouts?
