I'm just getting started at all of this. I called Friday to see if my ins. will cover lapband and they said YES. So, it has to be predetermined by a Dr. It will not cover if it's for cosmetic reasons. God above knows it's not for cosmetic reason (yes, I would like to feel better about myself) But, I really need help. I need to lose this weight... It's getting hard for me to even work at my job. So, we are in the same boat. (just getting started) Keep in touch

Thanks for being my friend on here. How are you doing with the band? I've not had it done, but thinking on it. Once i learn how to use this site I will be doing good. haha

Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I did, but I had to stop myself from eating... I just can't get enough right now. I can't wait to get my first fill and see if they are a change.

Everything is going good. I had my first fill on Dec 10th and going for my 2nd one on Jan 12th. I'm ready for it!! one time I ate and I don't know if I got something stuck or if I over eat, but I got this sore feel in my chest area and kind of felt like I had this big bruise on my chest. It lasted for about 5 days. So, I thought if it was something stuck it should have went down by now. I thought maybe I had stretched my pouch. I did kind of get scared, but I wouldn't let on to my hubby.

Glad you had a great Christmas. things are going good for me. I have started walking!!! lol I need to do much more. I come in from work so tired and I have to make myself walk. -(I know thats not good) I really need to work on this upper arm flab.

My surgery went good and I'm getting adjusted to the new life I have. Sometimes I still can't believe I have the band. lol It is working for me! I have lost 34lbs and so excited about it. I really need to do major exercise... I got to get this flab off of me. I'm only walking for now. I need to start adding some pic's. lol I go for my 3rd fill on Feb 16 and I'm ready for it. The fill's are not bad at all and I was all scared for nothing. lol

Hello, How are you doing? I've been doing better. I got my stress test done and over with. (it's wasn't that bad) haha so next will be the Lung Doc. and thats in June. I've not got my heart set on LB because I know my ins. can turn me down. But if I go through all this and they say YES *I'll be soooooo excited and scared too* haha

Glad to have you as a friend on here. I was banded on 10/30/09 and I'm doing good. How are you doing?

I have something to tell you ---> I've been APPROVED!! I got the call today. I just turned my papers in to the clinic last Thursday and now a week today and I'm Approved. haha I'm like WOW!!

I just found out a few days ago that I'm getting short term disability & I'm released to go back to work on 12-11-09. Now I feel much better knowing whats going on.

So, how are you feeling? I can eat a little & with in a hour or two I'm ready for something else. Do you do that to?

I'm doing good! I'm just ready for some real food. haha I'm not back to work yet, I have been so stressed out today- my doc still didn't send my paper work in for my fmla. I'm just about to scream!!

My first fill will be in early Dec. I'm kind of nervouse about that, but I'm ready to lose. haha

I'm donig good, but have been a little sick not sure if it was something to do with the band or just a bug. I've been much better this week. *Thank God* I've not yet been on the scales since surgery and I'm still goin to try to hold off until I go see my Dr. on Dec. 10th. *Fingers Crossed for a good weigh in. ) I pray it's a good one. Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I did & was blessed another year with my family. I'm so ready for my first fill & I need it now. haha Sometimes I can't get enough to eat. So, I have to stop myself.

I've not been banded yet. I have to go see a heart Dr. Friday. So, things are going & I have been sooooo stressed out and even thought about forgetting about it. But I guess it will all work out. I just seen your post about getting the band taken out. I'm so sorry to hear that. If you need to talk I'm here for you.

My surgery went well. I was in lots of pain after surgery. Now I'm doing very good. I have been on creamed soups and protein shakes- I'm so ready for something to eat. haha But I think I'm doing very good.

Today is day 10 of the Pre Op Diet and I'm doing ok. I couldn't wait any longer - I got on the scales Thursday and I had lost 10 lbs. I was like WOW!! hehe
