I will say to you akindofmagick that it was bad here, but everyone is trying now to move on and the Mod's have been really great. Susan is usually right here to spank us if we get mouth over load butt syndrome, so don't go away, just work with all of us. This is a good place, we all just want to learn from each other, we don't care who or where anybody went. Some of us just want to learn about our surgery, some have more experience, some are new, and it dosn't matter where you are in your experience, we are all different, and we can learn from each other. There are a few chosen ones, but mostly we just over look them or report them. But please stay, if someone gives you grief, let Susan know, she will help.

I am so glad you are well and you had a great time. MNB, I will tell you, it is either freeze or bake there, who would have thought!!! I will sugest heaters in the rooms for you. Keep us posted, OK? we are all excited to see how your journeys (your's and Carolyns) are moving.

MNB, if you ask for previous patients emails, they will send them to you. They have a large patient base, so you can hear direct from their patients. I have FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE with this group. Dr. Almana did my sleeve over a year ago, I am still here. No infections, and no problems. You really have to pick and choose who you listen to on these boards. Some people have never been to the Doctor you are discussing, and they will try to scare the willies out of you.

Susan, no belly button follow- up??? I had all that removed..26 pounds...Best surgery I ever had. Doing it agani to get the last of it...20 pounds to go!!!

Plain, you are a mod? Why is WASA so nasty? We just want people to tell of their experiences. She needs to drop the goddess attitude. Personally, I don't like alot of the Doctors people go to, but most of us are not bashing peoples choices. Something needs to be done with her.

thank you for shedding light on this. We do appriciate an honest opinion. That WASA is unstable!! I have been to TJ lots of times, including June of this year, and I have not seen violence, but I was escorted around town, and felt very safe. I would not go alone. In fact, I had a great time. For the most part, the Mexican people are very nice and gracious.

This has been so much easier than the band. I missed my band at first, but this has given me more freedom. I feel like I am normal when I eat out or even just cook dinner. I don't have to locate a bathroom when I am out to barf up what ever I ate. The weight loss is weird. I might not lose for several weeks, but my body shrinks and I can wear a smaller size. So it is different, but I love it!!!

I agree, sorry, I still have a bad taste in my mouth.. How is your sleeve doing? I see your are still new at it. I love mine. I only have 20 pounds to go. It will take awhile, the last is harder to get off. It sure goes on fast, but getting it off is another story!!

Your mom sounds like my mom. Maybe at that age, they have decieded to take what the good Lord gives them. Just let her be happy and pain free. They told my Granny at 86, she had small cell carsanoma (sp), they wanyed to do chemo, and every thing else, she told them no. They gave her 6 months, she lived almost 7 more years before she died of natural causes....They do not always know whats best. My mom is the same age as your mom, and it is what ever she wants. She only wants us to make sure she is pain free, and not in a rest home. That is what she will get.:thumbup: Keep smiling, I think she knows whats best for her.

paid poster....hmmmm..The paid posters are the ones always putting people's Dr. down. Almanza did my surgery a year ago, I am still alive, and I am down almost 90 pounds, with 28 to go. I have noticed the biggest losers are the one picking on everyone else. The person ZSFlower is trying to let everyone know what is correct and gives the proof to back it up. The rest of you just spout your poison. Where is your proof?? Not hearsay, proof!!! I think you need to take your garbage and move on. I am sure I will be slammed all over the place, but have fun. I know the truth, and those who spout the garbage are going to come up against the people who know what is right, and you guys are not. So, in closing, put your proof on the table, and let us see it. Not your hear-say garbage..

According to LIMARP, he is on Staff there, and has never been in Betancourt's court. Geez MacMdame..again you do not have your facts straight.. I think you will find it was dr. Jesus Lopez.... Also there is Lopez Corvala, I think you will find many Dr. Lopez in TJ...:thumbup:
