Soon I will be losing the "Honorary Sleeve Brother" designation for the Sleeve team.
-
Unfilled and all on my own for the next 3 weeks. But, it shouldn't be too bad, I hope.
-
I sensed it a long time ago. It seems about at one year, every time I got a fill it would last really well and the band worked for about 3 weeks, but then it would get loose again.
Well, I went for an unfill as part of my plan to get revision, and sure enough out of 10.25cc that were added to my band, only 8cc remained. They tried and tried to get more out, just to make sure, but they got it all. So I was right, my band was leaking at higher pressures. This is why it was getting so annoying.
I'm glad, I'm going for revision....I would NEVER advise someone to "FIX" a band problem....they just seem to come back and it isn't worth the expense.
I feel better knowing it wasn't my imagination all along.

Love my wife more each and every day of my life. I hope that never changes.

I'm going in July.

Ban the Band!!!!!! It works, but it is so much more work, and so much more aftercare it just isn't worth it compared to the sleeve. I am going to take my band after surgery and either EBay it for fun, or video tape crushing it in a vice....a litttle payback to the little bugger.
If I Ebay it, I hope it goes to an abusive home.

I think they would note it, even if you had it done in California. My doctor notes my band was done in Kansas City and by who, whenever he mentions it. I think, they do that so they can emphasize that thye didn't do it, but are giving you post care, or so they can remember what prodedure you have had done.
-
You will need someone to give you a prescription for Nexium.....thats and the upper GI. Thats really all you need. Almost any primary care physician can handle these things.
-
My wife had surgery with Dr. Aceves a year ago. He will also be doing my revision from band to sleeve.
-
If your self pay, the sleeve is much cheaper in the long run. Especially, if you factor in the probability of later needing or wanting to revise away from the band.
DON'T do a band if you are self pay. It isn't worth it, do the safest and most sure thing, the sleeve, and have no regrets.

I think the two fingers in two her eyes means "I want to poke my eyeballs out"
I refuse to watch that show, it is totally stupid. It makes normal people, feel like failures because they can't work out 8 hours a day, and pay for gourmet low calorie food. It is just a continuation of myths about being fat. There a bunch of antifatite, bigots and bastards in my opinion.

Jilian is a fraud. She now sells a "colon clense" product....oh please, why doesn't she just sell the abenergizer at the same time.
-
You could just say, "in a post apocolyptic world, I'm less likely to eat you now?"

Boniva? Once a month
Reclast Once a year
-
Just a thought/question. Has anyone considered taking the once a year injection, that is suppose to prevent osteoperosis?
I forget the name of it, but Sally Fields was in a commercial for it?
Would this solve the worry, or will it not work with a ppi?
-
Taking any PPI at least 30 minutes prior to eating is critical....it can't work if it isn't in your bloodstream before you eat.
My wife found this info out the hard way.
-
My wife is using 40mg Nexium....MUST be taken at least 30 minutes before you eat in the morning. She tried other things, and they didn't work as well.
Also it is extremely important to take acid preventers at least 30 minutues ahead of time. Some people may even need an hour for it to get absorbed and in the blood stream enough to shut of the acid production.
Also, you may want to go back to easier food for a few days to settle things down.
-
I like to think of it as an infant stomach.
You eat almost the same amount, and you go through the same stages. liquid, Soft....and so on.
-
-
You can always get more in by eating more often. Heck, any bigger, and you will have trouble with weight gain, and if you eat too often, you will still be capable of gain. Just nothing like you are capable of now.

My wife isn't fake, but it doesn't hurt to be skeptical.
I understand your husbands skepticism, I belonged to a car site once, that had fake posters. And yes, it is possible, but I personally, know 3 people on this board that went to Dr. Aceves. Including my wife, and me eventually.

The sleeve.

The last post on this thread was 9 months ago. You might want to try a private message to get a hold of her.
I'm not sure if she posts here anymore or not.
-
Hmmmm. I thought the same exact thing, and I don't even have a sleeve. Why, bring a thread back to life that you don't like?
As far as her join date versus how long she has been coming here....that is pretty easy answer...a lot of people come to a forum for awhile and then join.
But, frankly the post was pretty much useless.....accomplished nothing, and makes for more strife that you are supposedly not liking?
Turns out I had a leak in my band.
