  1. Since you have been tansitioning to more different foods, some stalls are almost certain. Also, weighing your self daily is a complete waste of time. Heck your body may change 2lbs worth of Water in one day anyway.
  2. I had no gas. They pain was less for me. I would say you could go to an office job in one week. You won't feel great, but you won't feel that bad either. Mainly, tired. No on the preop diet, since there was plenty of space from losing weight from the band. By week 3, I feel pretty much like I never even had the surgery.

    Diarrhea - 4 months out

It could be a hi acid response to something your eating. Are you taking your ppi still? Rich chocolate sounds like a possible reaction to the fat type also, so it could just be one of those things you don't tolerate well for now, or forever. Or worse yet, it could be the first signs of empending gall bladder failure. Any pain at all on your right side when the attacks happened?
  4. Just call nina and ask....
  5. Can you see your hand through it? If it were in a glass could you see your hand on the other side? That is a clear. It doesn't have to be clear as in plain Water, but it needs to be thin enough that you can see through it obstructed at least. Just for general information....I'm on clears for 10 days because of all of the extra scar tissue from my band.
  6. Yea, I'm using GNC whey with crystal light. Had some chinese soup. Had some crystal light popsickles. Unjury chicken soup. Oh man its just the most boring food. I'm could go back to work tomorrow, but they don't want or need me until the end of the week, so I'll wait. After my band surgery it hurt more after two weeks then this did after day one.

    My Primary Doctor was PISSED

He is pissed, because he wanted to recommend you and get a kick back. PCP's get a really nice kick back from weight loss surgery referrel. Don't kid yourself, don't be a fool, its all about the money!!!!!!
  8. Last year when we were at Dr. Aceves the internet was fairly slow. Has anyone who has gone lately noticed what the speed is like? I would like to be able to watch movies from my netflix account, but I need about 2mbs to do that, anyone know from experience if it is fast enough now for streaming video? Can someone who is going in the next week, do a speed test for me? You just go on your wirless while your there, and go to speedtest.net and see what numbers it gives you. My back up plan is to take a small dvd player and dvd's.
  9. I'm not from Vegas....I just put that in because people my wife works with don't know she has had surgery, and I want to maintain her privacy.
  10. LOL. No he hasn't ever encouraged me to post. In fact, I haven't really talked to him since he did my wifes surgery. I guess, I wasn't looking for a long term relationship...LOL. It is GOOD to be skeptical. There is nothing wrong with that at all, but I guess I'm one of the few who has been there and is going back....most people just don't have a reason to go down there twice, with me, it was once for my wife and once for me to have my revision. Ok and I'll admit, my daughter is already planning on going to him, when she can afford it. Repeat business in this field isn't all that common, but my family is full of fatties.
  11. I guess the point of my post was to say that sometimes you choose the most experienced and closest doctor and neither of those turn out to happen. I got the least experienced and they shut down the fill center, so I ended up getting absolutely no postives by staying close by, this time, I will go with the proven team.

how did u get money to self pay?

I took a 401k loan for something else, and it turned out to save me a ton of money. The market went way down after and I was buying back the stock at a lower price. Heck, I have taken a 401k loan before, just to limit my exposure to a volatile market. Oh, and god help us if we get a more volatile market then this one.

    future husband question

I believe you could be totally right, but whats the point. He's not "ready". You are wasting your time, maybe God is the one telling you he isn't ready and you should move on. The minute you believe you don't deserve the best, you will never get it. Believe in yourself and wait until someone comes along that is perfect. Well close to perfect, because no one is perfect. I waited until I was 32 to finally find my wife, who is the first and only wife I will ever have, because she is so perfect for me that no one else would do well in comparison.
  14. My lapband was going to be placed by an extremely experienced doctor. Then at the last minute they said he couldn't do it, and switched me to a doctor who hadn't ever done one on his own. In other words, I was his first!!!! I wasn't pleased, but he did a good job. Of course the damn thing leaks now, so maybe he didn't do such a good job? I doubt the leak was from the beginning. Oh well, not making that mistake again...I will go to someone I trust this time...that just happens to be Dr. Aceves, and he just happens to be in Mexico. I'm not going to him to save money, which seems to be the assumption. I'm going to him, because I want him to do the revision.
  15. I have had my band unfilled for about 13 days and gained 6lbs. Good god I can't wait to get my revision surgery.
  16. 25th...I will be headed out when your coming in.
  17. Thank you oregandaisy, and I am excited. My stupid band, I just knew it had a leak....I think they knew also, a fill just never lasted anymore, and my restirction was all over the place. The band worked for as long as I needed it to, now I'm on to a permanent solution!!!! Well, its back to plan A.....the Stargate SG1 series from start to finish.
  18. Make sure you take a PPI....30 minutes before eating anything.....that gives it time to go into your blood and shut off the acid response. This sounds like a classic acid response irritation.
  19. I had no idea being out of the country would be a problem, other then speed? Heck, I play x box online with people all over. Is this a netfilx thing? Let me know how it goes on the 15th.....if you don't mind.
  20. Just for clarification, Dr Aceves "did my wifes sleeve surgery". He will also do mine. I reread what I posted before and it sounded like I was saying something else.
  21. I think those concerns are very very legit. There are some places I wouldn't let operate on my dog. Dr. Aceves and the Almater Hospital, I have no problem with at all. I have been there with my wife, when my wife had her sleeve done, and it was great. Also, I like to look at track records and stats.....so yes, they need to be FACS in order to check these things. My brother had Gastric Bypass here in the US and died. So you can bet I know there are real risks. Having said that he died of liver failure, which should have precluded him from having the surgery in the first place, but somehow it got someone in the US to do it?? I think the regular package price for sleeve is around 10,000 and 12500 for revision from band to sleeve. Takes about a week to get paper work and such approved for normal people.
  22. Thanks for doing that for me!!!!
  23. YES!!!!!!!!! I will be watching netflix during recovery.....just in case you want to do the same.....they have a 30 day, no credit card info trial....I love it!!!!
