  1. yesterday:

    B: egg beaters omlette with peppers & onions, turkey bacon, 1 slice 2% cheese

    L: the insides of a turkey sandwich & chips, 1 chocolate chip cookie :thumbup: (free lunch at work)

    D:baked bbq chicken(2 wings), baked Beans (spoonful), sm corn cobbette

    I'm trying to cut down on the snacking and see if that helps me drop some lbs....I cant WAIT for my fill next week. This time I am not getting unfilled no matter how miserable I am.


  2. I have been a little discouraged since I have been trying to lose 3 lbs for the last two weeks and they won't come off. I don't think I am eating too crazy. I am drinking Water and exercising so I dont know what the problem is...:drool:

    Yesterday:

    B: Slim Fast Low Carb shake

    s:100 calorie pack Peanut Butter crackers and a strawbery peach smoothie from planet smoothie (about 8oz of it)

    L: Had Japanese Hibachi - some chicken, veggies, and a couple shrimp...didn't touch the rice! yay me!

    s:100 calorie cinnamon struesel coffe cakes

    D: couple of boiled cubed potates some green Beans and a little piece of flank steak.

    ok...that was a little out of control yesterday but that's because I was depressed. I really need to control this emotional eating...I though I had it under control but obviously not.

    Workout: walked for an hour and 10 mins elliptical


  3. I agree with everyone who said they would rather be skinny than have big boobs!....until mine started shrinking! I've only lost 50 lbs and it seems like 15 of those lbs came from my boobs! I went from a 42DDD to a 40D and still shrinking.. not to mention I've breastfed 2 kids so they are just basically bags of skin now. I didn't anticipate having to get them "fixed" but oh well...yeah I think I'd rather be skinny!:unsure:


  4. I have been lurking around on this post for awhile and it has given me some good ideas of what to eat when I get stuck so I decided to join in...It seems like I am eating a lot more than you all....

    TODAY:

    B:cinnamon pecan special k cereal with skim milk

    s: 3 whole wheat saltines with PB and a drop of honey

    L: santa fe chicken salad from Walmart

    s: bag of act II light pop corn (yep, ate the whole bag..i was hungry! this tells me I need a fill)

    D: have not had it yet but either 1/2 sm wendys chili or a chiken wrap from McDonalds w/apple dippers

    Can anyone tell me who makes the Cookies and cream protien shake? I've seen a few people post it and I wondered who makes it because it sounds good. Thanks!


  5. I had a bad food week this week. I was doing so great after my fill and unfill now I think I am too loose again. I have not lost a pound since last week so zero for me. I plan to kick it into high gear at the gym this week and hopefully make better food choices! (stop the chocolate binges at night!). I wish I could stop getting discouraged so easily because I know I am still doing great but when I don't see the scale move it kind of bums me out.

  6. I agree! I like going to try on new sizes but I never really like the styles. It was so much easier shopping in the plus size sections because there wasnt many choices. Even though I LOVE my new size it does get a little frustrating. I used to have 65-75 pairs of pants and jeans in my closet to wear now I am down to about 10. This makes it VERY hard to find something to wear to work in the morning!! Now I am late almost everyday and picking them out at night doesn't help either.

    oh well....that's just my 2 cents....


  7. My fill didn't go as well as I expected on 3/19. I am still too loose and in fact eating more than I was before that fill. So luckily I get another one on 4/7. I didn't meet my 15 lbs goal so I'd better lower my expectations for April. My april goal will be 10 lbs. And my current weight as of today is 234 so I think that's 2 lbs down since my last weigh in which gives me 7 lbs lost since I joined this thread. :)

    surgery date 12/18/08

    heighest weight 302

    preop diet starting weight 278

    surgery day weight 271

    current weight 241

    weight loss since surgery 30 lbs

    total weight loss 37 lbs

    my end goal is to be 175

    my goal for march is 15 lbs

    I will start my count from today since i have no idea how much i weighed on march 1st. I get a fill next week so that should help me out. :rolleyes2:

    Did anyone add me? I never saw a reply. Anyways, I am at 236 today. That's five pounds lost since my original post on 3/10. Thanks.

    We all know that everyone's experience with bariatric surgery is different. Everyone has positives and negatives. I have done my research and understand all of the negatives and positives and made my decision on my own according to what is best for me. This is why I choose not to talk about it or tell everyone because sure enough someone will try to bring you down in a heartbeat.

    I know someone who had gastric right after I got my band who said that gastric was better. I don't really think you can say that to someone because what might be better for them might not be better for me. Nevertheless, their opionion did not influence me one bit. Meanwhile, we have lost the exact amount of weight and I have less issues than them.

    ....well, that's my 2 cents....:frown:

    I feel absolutely wonderful! I can hardly tell that I have even had surgery. I do have restriction and I am getting my 3rd small fill tomorrow. I have no pain or sorness what so ever.

    I am sticking to a 1200-1400 calorie diet (as recommended by my nutritionist). Here is a small breakdown of a typical day for me:

    Breakfast: oatmeal and turkey bacon or cold Cereal and fruit

    Lunch: Lean Cuisine or a small salad or a half a sandwich

    Dinner: A meat and Veggie

    Snacks: a piece of fruit or string cheese or yogurt

    I have to eat a little more on the days I work out so I might add more fruit or yogurt or cheese.< /p>

    Wow...after writing this it seems like a lot! lol...however, I rarely make my 1200 calories in the day. I work out about 5 days a week for 45 minutes - 2.5 miles on the treadmill.

  12. I had an english muffin just this morning with some turkey bacon. Of course I toasted the heck out of the muffin and cooked the turkey bacon until crispy. I did have a little problem when I started trying to eat it too fast but for the most part I didn't have much of a problem.

    I did just realize that I cannot eat steak anymore and that sucks because I LOVE filet mignon :biggrin:... I had some rye bread on a ham sandwich once and it wasn't too bad but I couldn't eat the whole thing. Next time I'll just do half.


  13. Hi All! I was banded on 12/18 and now I don't even feel as if I ever had surgery! I had my follow up appointment and they were amazed and how well and fast my surgery scars heeled. You almost can't tell there were even any cuts there. I'm doing much better on the hunger since starting the mushies. I don't get as much gas when I eat now either. I will say that if you happen to make a mistake and drink out of a straw BEWARE! I never noticed before how much drinking out of a straw can give you gas! My first fill is scheduled for 1/15. I can't wait because I find myself eating more and more and I haven't lost any weight since I started mushies. Hopefully the fill will make a difference and I will feel some restriction. I only feel it if I eat too fast. I am also going to see my nutritionist again because I need to know exactly what to eat that will help me lose weight otherwise I will fall off the wagon very quickly.
