I am so sorry this is happening...and you know we are LB twinz...:thumbdown:....I think I have the same thing...but with my insurance tripping I can't get a flouro to find out....maybe i should do a 30 day liquid diet too to see if that helps my restriction...because I mean at 8.2 ccs I should not be able to eat at all!

    Keep me updated....we'll get through this!!!!


  2. Had a hard time yesterday....

    B: couple sips of green tea

    L: 1/4th Quiche Lorraine at LaMadeleine (PB), 2 half slices of bread with butter and jam, fruit parfait

    L2: turkey and cheese sandwich (PB), 3 chocolate chip Cookies with 2% milk (stayed down of course)

    D1: 2 tacos (PB)

    D2: 2 slices pepperoni pizza toppings only (PB), about 15 chocolate covered peanuts (stayed down)

    Today so far i'm trying to see how its going to work out...

    B: 1/2 cup coffee w/cream and sugar

    L: planning to eat a lean cuisine

    D: dont know yet...


  3. OMG..does stress affect the band...I am not upchucking but find I must eat very little portions.. so I have been using liquids

    I am definitely beyond stressed out... so any help on this issue would be helpful

    Stess definitely affects my band. It is much tighter when I am stressed out then the only thing I can eat is junk food. I will PB almost every meal if I am stressed. I can't even eat when my children are around because that stresses me out too. So I pretty much have to eat all my meals away from home for it to go down good.

    Also, I notice a lot of people drink the muscle milk Protein shakes...are you drinking the powdered form or the pre-mixed? I've tried the pre-mixed and it was terrible. But I figure if so many people are drinking it it must not be too bad.

    TrueDiva what is cioppinno? I always see that on your posts and wondered what it is....

    I am still trying to get back on track with my posting but since my eating is so crazy I always forget. I am still struggling with whether or not to get an unfill when I go to my appointment tomorrow. Somedays I can eat a bear! other days I can't eat a thing! Most meats and breads I cannot eat but Pasta, rice, and all junk food goes down just fine.

    Saturday: I went to macaroni Grill with my cousin. Had two bites of my pasta and started feeling like it would come back up so I boxed it. I nibbled on a very tiny piece of bread. Later that night went to a sports bar and had a frozen drink and 1 cheese stick - almost PD'd the cheese stick but I managed to hold it down.

    Sunday:

    I was having a hard day yesterday but here is what I managed to get down:

    B: nothing

    L: Nibbled on 1 cup of Penne Rustica from Macaroni grill (penne pasta with grilled chicken in a creamy parmeasean sauce). It took me 2.5 hours to eat it but it stayed down.

    D: 1 fried chicken drummette, 5 green Beans, two small fork fulls of cheesy rice.... PB

    S: mini cup of Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream - stayed down!

    S2: couple of hershey bar squares -- PB! (couldnt believe that!)

    I'm still losing slowly but tired of the unpredictability of my eating so I'm confused....help!?:biggrin:


  5. I haven't posted in awhile because I have been bad, bad bad! Maybe if I start again I will be more mindful of what I am eating so here goes....

    B: chocolate True Results Protein Shake

    L: Went to Mimi's Cafe: Quiche Loraine w/Swiss, baby greens salad w/fat free balsamic vin (couple bites), fruit (chunk of watermelon and honeydew melon)

    S: Bag of Pnut M&M's [see...BAD!]

    D: Nothing because I've been grazing since lunch on the Quiche and ate the whole thing.

    I guess if you look at it...the only thing I ate today really was the whole Quiche. But I feel so heavy now I feel guilty so I'm only drinking Water for dinner! ...the m&m's didnt help either...


  6. I have been eating very badly and too ashamed to post it. So here goes:

    yesterday:

    B:slim fast high Protein creamy chocolate

    s: handfull of cashews, almonds and craisins

    L: 1 cup chunky Soup healthy request chix & sausage gumbo (this stuff is sooo good!) 5 ritz crackers

    s: another handfull of cashews, almonds and craisins then a 100 cal pack of Peanut Butter cheese crackers

    D: a mexi-melt from taco bell (this is the bad part...I had two of these the day before) :redface:

    workout: none...too busy.


  7. So I don't normally post my weight until my weigh-in at the Dr's office - but this one time I think I'll make an exception - this morning I hit 100 lbs gone forever! :party: To Celebrate I am donating 100 lbs of food to my local food bank - see photo below!

    :thumbup: Way to go kcmagu!!! :lol:

    yesterday:

    B: yogurt and granola

    L: a pear and some pirates booty (thanks for the tip on that kcmagu i love it!)

    D: a whole bunch of cheese and some fruit (at a lapband meeting)

    workout: none...back still hurting...still struggling to get back in there.

    b- half cucumber w/hummus

    hi luluc...just curious...do you leave the skin on the cucumbers? I read somewhere that bandsters should take the skin off some fruits and veggies but I know the skin holds the nutrients on some things. I was just wondering because I bought some hummus and wanted to try it with cucumbers...I usually eat it with pita chips or pretzel chips. I figure there'd be less cals with a cucumber.

  9. I was doing great until I got home. When I get home all good eating habits are out the window!

    yesterday:

    B: 1/2 packet of cream of wheat, 3 strips turkey bacon

    s: yogurt

    L: lean cuisine chicken carbonara (this made me realize i am having issues with Pasta now :D)

    s: 100 cal pack of pnut butter cheese crackers

    D: nachos - baked tostitos, about 2 oz ground beef, shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, spoonful of sourcream :(

    s: 3/4 of a hershey bar - that was the last one so i shouldnt have this problem anymore!

    D2: little piece of baked tilapia

    workout: none...again...sooo lazy of me!

    hey Slim-n-Tn! I went and bought those cocoa roasted almonds that you munch on and they are awesome!!! gives me my little chocolate fix :mad2: THANKS!!

    B: 1/2 packet of peach oatmeal, 3 strips turkey bacon

    L: attempted to eat shrimp Pasta - pb:frown:

    S: 2 oz of yogurt

    D1: attempted some pizza toppings - pb:frown:

    D2: attempted brown cow ice cream bar - pb:frown:

    midnight snack: 2 squares of a hershey bar:thumbup:

    I guess my fill really kicked in yesterday. I've been scared to eat today so as of now I have not had anything. I have not been hungry either so I may try a Protein Shake.< /p>

    Workout: none...being lazy. I'm going to get back on track next week.:glare:


  11. Hi....I got banded yesterday and now that I'm home I have some questions.

    1. Can I crush my Vicodin in some Water and drink it vs. taking the pill whole?

    2. I don't have much of an appetite and when i do eat I can barely get a couple spoons of cream of wheat down this morning? How am I going to get 60g of Protein in at this rate?

    3. I have some Atkins shakes but I can't imagine getting the whole bottle (11 oz) down.

    4. How long will I have this feeling of indigestion right in the middle of my tummy?

    5. How do I create the weight loss tracker?

    Hi Jeff!

    Congrats and welcome to bandland!!

    Well...here's my two cents...

    1. I would think that as long as the pill is not a capsule you can crush it, however, I would call the pharmacist and ask because some pills lose their effectiveness if they are crushed. I didnt get vicodin so I don't know (i had liquid lortab).

    2. my advice would be to just try liquids for now. Don't even try the cream of wheat until like the third day...try sipping throughout the day on the Protein shake if you can to help you get it in....

    4. I didn't have any indigestion at all so I would think that it shouldn't last that long. Try chewing on a Tums and see if that helps.

  12. sounds like you are a little overfilled. this has happened to me on my last two fills...you should call your dr and see if maybe they can take at least half of it out (that's what i normally do). after i do that i feel fine. it is miserable not being able too eat hardly anything. i know when i am overfilled because every thing i eat bubbles up in my throat and sits there. i know how you feel...you dont want to stop losing the weight but you might end up being dehydrated and making it worse....

  13. I had a very bad day today...most likely due to the fact that i am in excrutiating pain from throwing my back out on saturday. I ate terribly all weekend and lost 4 lbs. I just grabbed the first thing I saw to eat. I probabaly gained them back today...:thumbup:

    B: Dannon pinapple yogurt

    L: small fry from checkers/rallys

    D: 2 chocolate chip Cookies w/a cup of 2% milk

    s: some bbq potato chips

    I get another fill tomorrow so i wont be able to indulge in these types of things.

    workout: none...in too much pain

    B: mocha latte Protein Shake

    S: 1 oz pirates booty, 1 baby bel cheese, peanutbutter m&m's

    L: 1 tbls PB, 1 babybel cheese

    D: (went out) chips and salsa, 1 bbq shrimp enchilada and shrimp from 2nd, 1 bite rice and 1/2 mojito - wanted all but food came too fast!

    S: Peanut Butter m&m's

    Today:

    B:mocha latte Protein shake

    S:3 tiny sesame seed Cookies (tasters from store)

    L: 1/2 oz deli thin slice ham, 0.7oz cheddar cheese, 1/4 avocado 1/2 a slice potato lefse (norwegian flatbread)

    S: not sure

    D: will be making chicken cordon blue w/ hasselback potatoes, steamed green Beans and brownies with strawberries (having friends over for dinner - wine will be served too :thumbup:
