  1. From what I've always known, they operate together, or at least they did at one point...hum... in my opinion they're both equally competent and caring, good luck to all of you and God bless!

    Vaginal itch/burning/swelling

Being as uncomfortable as you are, and considering your symptoms it probably is vaginosis as mentioned by a poster above, I would go to a walk in or th ER. I couldn't possibly wait until Tuesday. Fact is you'll probably need a prescription for antibiotics, and the sooner you start the treatment the better. Good luck!
  4. my first consult was 10/29/08 and my surgery was 12/11/08 I'm insured...

    I need help/advice!!

the same happened to me... on Monday I got a small fill 0.3cc, I stayed on liquids monday and mushies on Tuesday (that's what my doc recommends), well on wednesday I tried to have some fish and it got stuck and I was miserable (sliming, gagging, hurting) for about an hour. So I called my doc and he had me go in right away for a slight unfill. He said since I didn't wait too long, he didn't have to take out all of the 0.3cc, so he took out 0.2cc and I felt relief right away. He praised me for calling him right away and said that if I'd waited too long he might have to take out at a whole cc, not to mention the risk for slip and erosion. Now I feel great, back to loving my band I'm lad you're calling your doc, hope eveything works out well for you too!
  6. Large pills will not go down, you could ask your doctor to prescribe th liquid form, many drugs come in liquid too. But if not, you could always crush them and take them with apple sauce (nasty but what r u gonna do?). Just be sure to check if the pills are scored (a line dividing the pill in the middle), if not it may not be safe to crush. So ask your pharmacist just to be sure. Good luck!
  7. Both Adam and Arthur are wonderful, I'm almost 1 year post-op and have never had any problems with them. And the girls at the office are great too (Kathy's my favorite)

Does the weight loss increase your sex drive?

My sex drive has increased since I started losing weight and I think that has a lot to do with feeling comfortable and confident...I'm not even half-way there with my weight loss but I feel much more comfortable while intimate with my hubby. And for that I think he loves my band as much as I do
  10. for a 6' tall male that weighs 210 - no a 5' woman at 200 - yes It obviously would depend on height (bmi)...
  11. I was 25 when I was banded on 12/11/08...

    Updates!~

I also had a 4 month plateau and it wasn't until my last fill on 9/7 that the scale finally started moving again and I think I've reached my sweet spot, too. I'm down 46 lbs, but now I'm believing again I can actually reach goal someday... after such a long plateau I started to think this wasn't going to work. I'm glad you're doing well and God bless you on your journeys!

    Brazillian Waxing

At the place I go to, they pour the wax in a small, disposable container and use a plastic diposable spatula. I think it's important to check the place out first, talk to women you know who have done it in your area and find out the best place to go... And where I go, they only uncover the part they'll be waxing one at a time, so you're bever completely naked with your legs spread open:rolleyes:
  14. Wow, Erykah, your attitude is inspirational! I wish you all the luck in the world with your weight loss journey, you seem to have a heart of gold. God bless you:thumbup:

I hate my scale! It lies!

Are you near TOM? I know when I am, I avoid the scale because I always go up a few #'s :frown:, but they come right at the end, so... among many other reasons, this could be it... Good luck with the weight loss and upcoming surgery

    lap band

If you go on lapband.com on the left hand side in the middle of the page there's a video you can watch that's very informative on how the surgery goes. Good luck on your journey!
  17. My name is Rafaelli and my nickname is Rafa, but since they already had that, I added a 2 to it. Hence, Rafa2. BTW, I love this thread!
  18. Well, I told quite a few people and, obviously, those people told other people... I sooo regret having opened my big mouth. As it turns out, I'm a slow loser and I hate the look I get from people when I know they're expecting me to have lost way more, since I had WLS. My family is extremely supportive, and they're actually happy I'm losing slowly since it it healthier, but ohers, man I just get so mad  So those of you that are still going to have surgery and don't want EVERYONE knowing your business, I advise you to not tell (except your family, 'cause you will need some support)
