Rachel, I going to give this last fill a little time before i judge it , but my guess is that im not there yet. I have not been to any support meeting yet. I meet with my trainer at the same time of the meetings. I still thinking about going to OA but haven't gone yet.
I can't wait until I'm at the point that you are.

Rachel, wow! sorry you had a hard time. did it feel the same as that getting something stuck feeling? did you get to see Dr. Hitchcock. I hope your eating ok now. I wonder if we all have to get too full in our band, at some point, to be able to understand what the sweet spot feels like.
I had a fill today i saw Dr.H i think he gives a better shot. i didn't feel a thing! I'm now at 4.8 and im drinking just fine. i'm crossing my fingers for some restriction. he told me if no restriction to come back after 2 weeks and not to wait a month. I have an appt 7/9. Kirk is coming home sometime the week of the 21st. we don't have the day yet. I'm so excited. I've lost 38. I hope he can tell!!! we are going to work out together while he is here.
Let me know how it's going.

Rachel,
Here I am following in your foot steps. I had fill yesterday. 1.3 cc. She tried to give me 1.5 but she felt some restriction and stopped. She said me protein first after mushie stage. That is pretty much what I have been trying to do. How is it going for you? More restriction? I hope you had a good time camping.
I just found out my husband is coming home for a visit at the end of June. I'm so excited!!!!! BUT I didn't want him to see me until December so I could be a new women in a new body. Oh well.

Hi Rachel, How are you doing? I hope your feeling some benefit from your fill. Have fun camping. I love camping. one or two smores won't hurt you. Just go for a walk. You don't get to go camping everyday. I don't go back for a fill until the 28th. My willpower is getting better and I'm trying to do more cardio. I want to be able to rely on my band more. I am planning meals and keeping a journal of everything i eat. It really helps me.
Keep in touch

Hi Rachel,
I had to take a break from this website. I was getting lapband out. Everything is going fine. I've had no problems. I wish we had some restriction now I could use the help. I am doing really good though. I'm still losing about 2 pounds a week. I just had my first day with a personal trainer @24 hr fitness. I don't generally spend money like that, but I'm very excited about it. I'm glad I told everyone about my lapband. It makes it easier to stay on tract, because everyone is watching what you do. Let me know how your fill goes. I can't wait.

Hi Rachel, I got 6 inches of snow. It was all gone the next day. I'm ready for my post-op check, but it's not until Thursday. I'm waiting for the doc to tell me to start mushies. I am having protein shakes everyday. So how the food going? Work was fine. I did get a little sore. I took some pain med and went to bed when I got home.
I rested today and only work a half day tomorrow. How about you? Hows about Work?

Hi Rachel,
I'm getting so tired of sitting around taking it easy. I can't wait to go to work Monday. I think my daughter and I are going to go walk around walmart or target today, just so I can get out of the house.
How is eating going? I chewed gum all day yesterday I miss chewing. Do you think you going to go to the support group? I think I will.
How about the snow for this weekend!!!

Rachel, lapband.com has the dietary guidelines from the company that makes the lapband. The first six weeks is listed under the link for the 1st year with the lapband. It sounds like it's a little closer to Dr. Hitchcocks opion.
We should all do what we are most confortable with.
Talk to you soon

Rachel,
I'm having another good day. I know what you mean about having the staples removed. I'm glad to hear it was easy. I starting to get board sitting around doing nothing. I know there's not much we can do at this point. How are you doing? How is your blood sugar?
PS. My husband is in Iraq. He left in January for his 4th 12 month tour. He supports my surgery. He was able to go to the seminar with me before he left. I can't wait for him to come home to a NEW ME!

Rachel,
I'M DOING GREAT! Movin a little slow but I have no pain,
I'm taking the Loratab every 4 hours so I don't get any.
Dr Hitchcock and the hospital staff were great just like you said. I quess I had a hiatal hernia. I had know knowledge of that. Surgery went just as scheduled. 9am and home at 11:45. Drive through surgery is amazing.
I slept on and off yesterday. Apple juice was my drink of chose. It felt good on my throut. I need to learn to only sip. I keep forgetting. Who thougt that would be hard?
I changed one of my bandages. My incision looked beautful Dr. Hitchcock did a great job.
How are the mushies going? Is everything going down ok?
When I get to have mushies I want to have a sweet potato. Not sure why it just sounds good right now.
Your back to work right? Hows that going. Do people at work know about your surgery? Mine do. What day is your post op appt? I wonder how it feel to get the staples out?

Rachel,
I'm so addicted to this website. I have been logging on several times a day for 3 months. Pre-op is going fine but I do get hungry. I wish I could have more fiber. Today I got really hungry around 3pm. I knew if I ate dinner early I would have a hard time the rest of the night. Jello just doesn't go very far. So I had 3. I think it's going to be a long weekend.
Wow I'm glad food is coming back so fast post-op. I bought a Magic Bullet type blender to prepare. I just want some more choices.
I'm one of the lucky ones. I have duel insurance. I have no out of pocket costs. How about you?

Rachel,
Two days left. I can't wait. I have to be at the hospital at 7am. Surgery at 9am. My daughter will hang out with me for a few days. She will be a good caretaker if needed. Thanks for all the helpful info.
Are you still on clear liquid? I'm not sure how long clear lasts. When are you heading back to work? I will have a week.
Take care
