  1. Oh Hun!!! First off all- there is nothing wrong with you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not inside or out. Having this surgery is going to be life changing for you. As for me- right after surgery I was still able to eat a lot of food and actually gained weight (a lot of weight) but I kept going and getting my fills and tried to drink shakes more than food. It takes relearning how to eat. It sounds like you're being an emotional eater right now and there is nothing that is going to change that behavior until recognize and work through it with a professional. Stick with getting your fills and try to add ONE 30 minute workout a week then the following week add two 15 minute workouts... each week just try to eat little, OH AND DRINK A LOT OF A WATER!!!!! If you ever need to talk please reach out to me.

  2. I actually had the same feeling and thought it could've slipped but then as I just didn't eat or drink and just rested like literally didn't move for 24 hrs just got up for bathroom it slowly got better. Now I just feel like I was in a bad fight and I'm really sore all over torso. Going to see the lapband doc soon. :( DON'T want to get unfilled... finally feel like I'm getting the hang of this.

  3. OMG! I thought I was the only one who went through this. I thought I was literally going to die. I was in so much pain that instead of the dry heaving I opted to kinda tilt myself over so whatever was in the bottom half of my stomach would come up. I had it for about 2- 3 days... Completely MISERABLE!!!! Now I just have a lot pain in my shoulders and a nagging headache and a bit of pain when I breathe but I was able to keep down a shake so I don't think I have slipped (thank goodness) I don't wish that on anyone with a band. I caught mine from one of my kids too... guess being a good mommy has it's "rewards"... LOL

  4. It's amazing how one day I can get on here and I find someone who knows exactly how I feel. I am so ashamed of the way I let myself get that I feel that everyone in the world is looking down on me too! I feel like their looks are just saying "how did she let herself get so fat?" "She would be pretty if only she weren't fat!" It's such a self- esteem destroyer. I am 21 days post op and let me tell you, the confidence you feel when you finally start to lose the weight is amazing. I hope you all feel as great as I do once you have your surgery. It is a SLOW process but so worth it! I have lost 15 pounds since surgery... it is a small triumph but it is enough to keep me motivated. good luck to all of you!

  5. Hi, Like my title says I can't believe I'm doing this! I am a 30 yr old single mom to 3 wonderful boys. They are 14, 6 and 1 1/2. I decided to join a support forum because I am having LAP-BAND® surgery performed on Tuesday!!! Even just thinking those words chokes me! Tomorrow well in a couple of hours I have to go to the hospital for all of the pre- op testing!!! I'm so nervous I can't sleep!!! My life is very complicated! I don't work right now mostly because I am ashamed to be seen in public. I am 4' 10 and weigh 210 lbs  I'm always in pain and have become so heavy for myself that it is actually causing a sore in th bottom of my foot! Well I'm going to go read some of your posts! I hope to hear from some of you real soon! Lets take this journey together because I haven't really told anyone in my life and I can't do this alone.
