Oh my gosh, I have not been good about checking these visitor messages. For klovesmoney, no, I did not have breast cancer. Thank god! They just saw something on my mammo that they weren't sure of. They told me it was most likely a lymph node. I went back for a ultrasound on that breast and they confirmed it was nothing to worry about so then I was cleared to go forward w/my lapband surgery on 12/17. If there was any doubt that it was cancer, my surgeon would not have gone forward w/the lapband surgery.

Hi Mom! I can get agave nectar here at Costco. It comes in a two bottle pack and it kind of looks like maple syrup, but it does not have the flavor of maple syrup. It just tastes like a sugar syrup. It pretty much has the same calories as sugar, but is low glycemic so it doesn't spike your blood sugar or make you crave more sugar. I use it in my tea, coffee, on oatmeal, mixed w/yogurt, in smoothies, etc.

The Fage is good because it has 20 grams of protein per 8 oz serving. My Costco also sells Fage in a big carton. I use it as a substitute for sour cream... no fat, adds some protein, and it really tastes very much like sour cream if you put it in a soup, dip, chili, fajitas, on a potato, etc.

I just got my first fill on Wednesday and am doing good.

Hey, I just saw your message that we are local. Who is your surgeon? Dr. Blackstone is doing mine (Scottsdale Bariatric Center). Do you have a pre-op diet? Mine doesn't make me do one, but I'm trying to be good this last week before surgery.
