    so do you all like having food intolerance (not being able to eat bread, rice, pasta)? and what kind of intolerance do you have just as a poll?

    i didnt really notice i had a band much until after my 3rd fill at 3 months and have gotten a fill every month since then and need one now. i was super discouraged especially that first month when i gained 5 pounds... speaking of needing a fill... what do you all think? i dont have another appt until the middle of june because i got a fill about a week and half ago however i have now been hungry and eating a lot for the past two days. i was able to eat a waffle, rice, and a tortilla today (which i was disappointed about. i like having food intolerance. do you all?) :thumbup: do you all think i should call tomorrow to see if they can move me up or wait a week or so and see what happens with my restriction? i havent experienced this much hunger and what not so soon after a fill. i think maybe my fill wasnt big enough to begin with. very inquistive tonight.

    i heard a tip recently that i didnt know and i thought i would share. apparently if you have something getting stuck or you feel like you are going to pb but not immediately, standing up and walking around a bit can sometimes alleviate this. maybe this is common knowledge I have missed out on but maybe not. it seemed to help tonite.
  6. b - 4 oz. cottage cheese l - 2 oz. mesquite turkey, 1 slice colby cheese: dipped in a mustardy bbq sauce d - 3 slices of pizza (i was so starving by then however it was all of a sudden)

    i agree. it wasnt near as bad as i thought it would be. after the first couple of days it wasnt that hard for me anyway. i got really into food while i was on it though. i would watch food network constantly. i was able to stick to it for 3 weeks.
  8. b - 3 turkey sausages, 2 scrambled eggs, 6 oz milk 40 minutes or so after Breakfast. l - mexican (1/2 enchiladas and some guacamole) yummy. s - icee and some nachos at the movie d - hot and sour Soup. does any one know how many calories there are in hot and sour soup? seems good for you... mushrooms, tofu, in beef broth. just curious. not the best day but still ok.

  11. b - cottage cheese l - cracker barrel meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes and okra. made sure to eat meatloaf first d - steak, mushrooms, corn on the cob s - ramen cup *eek* it was good though (the spicy shrimp kind)
  12. slim n tn Thanks for this recipe for the ricotta bake. Even though it took me a couple weeks to try it was really good. The ricotta part of my bake was a little bland. any resolution for that? even if not i got to eat my bake while my family had spaghetti. I was a happy camper. You seem to have really taken to lean cuisines? they must be making them better than the last time i tried them. any recommendations for good ones? b- 1 scrambled egg l - 6 oz yogurt s - ww crackers with light cream cheese d - ricotta bake

    Im sorry you are feeling bad carriec. i definitely have more than you to lose and you are only a couple of pounds away from onederland. you will be there before you know it. My pre-op diet still accounts for more than half of my current weight loss. i had been getting discouraged but I just had my 6th fill so i am hoping and am told that things should speed up a little. I will be thinking of you.

    I thought I spotted someone handsome and remarkably intelligent while I was there. I am so excited that I have lost a total of 58 lbs. as of today. I had a fill today and had never been more ready. how is everyone else doing?
  15. b - fruit, bite of english muffin l - 4 mini meatballs (made me nauseated) d - chicken, spinach, pinto beans, squash casserole (none stayed down plus some i think) bad day.

  21. so are symptoms of slipped band persistant vomitting or lack of restriction? or does it vary?
  22. b - 1 slice of toast with cheese s - string cheese l - 3 mini meatballs, few bites of coleslaw s - few bites of leftover tortilla soup with kids d - 6 oz. chicken breast, slaw, mashed potatoes, and even some mac and cheese i am wondering if there is something wrong with my band or if i am just going through the process of needing a fill. with this last fill (my 5th), i had great restriction for about 2 weeks then I started getting hungry all the time and a week later i feel like i can eat about anything at dinner and as much as i would like to eat. granted even when i feel like i ate a lot at dinner it is significantly less than what i would have eaten before surgery. i did have a couple of vomiting episodes where the retching was pretty hard so that is why i am worried about a slip or something. thoughts anyone?
  23. b - 6 oz yogurt l - 2 chicken nuggets d - 3 cups of homemade tortillia soup for cinco de mayo of course (couldnt believe i ate this much, and was still hungry afterwards but i stopped for fear of vomitting)

    i agree. somedays i think boy i need a fill and the next day i'm like well wait a minute. My experience has been variable to say the least.
