    Hello everyone I am doing good. Tonight was my poker night so I got home late. Well the scale did not move for me this week.....but I have been working out more and lifting weights. So I am not going to let the scale get me down. I am just going to move forward and see what happens next week. I do go for my 2nd fill this Friday. Have a great day everyone.     Hello everyone. Glad to hear that everyone one is doing so well. Tonight was my poker night I play with a great group of people every Tuesday night. Tonight a couple of people came up to me and said you look great keep up the good work. It made me feel good and inspired me to keep pusing along. This week the scale has not moved, but I have been working out alot more and doing more weights so I am not going to let the scale get me down. I can feel it in my clothes. Janet I am glad that your tests went well....keep us posted. I am so proud of all of you that have lost so much weight....I cannot wait to be a winner like the rest of you.

    Hello Janet, I just love coming home from work and signing on to read your thread. Your words and wisdom helps me more than I can ever tell you....thank you. I am going on 2 weeks post op and everytime I get discouraged with my weight loss I start reading and you make so much sence and you are right. We are all different. Thank you again.

    China I am so sorry to hear that you are sick....I got sick about 3 weeks after surgery and it was not fun....especially the coughing. Just drink alot of liquids and try and get as much rest as you can. Oh yes I have gotten stuck a few times.....its not pleasant. But my doctor told me to have pineapple juice on hand and if I get stuck to take a small sip and it helps. IT WORKS. Well get well and take care. Everyone have a great week.

    Just got home went out to visit my mother in law and took her out to dinner. I share a meal with my husband now I had a piece of his steak and 1/2 of his baked potatoe. 2/18 is my birthday I am turning 46 and this time next year I will have my new body forever. So 47 will be good for me. Janet I go for my second fill on 2/4. I currently have 4cc in my band. I did not check with my doctor about the sit ups I better stop until I ask him. I had just started today. I am not having any pain. I am up to walking about 2.5 miles or 45 min on my stationary bike. How much do you have in your band? Do you still get fills or are you at your sweet spot? Your the best. Rose

    Janet, thank you...you always make me feel so much better and give me the encouragement I need to make this journey. I just finished riding my stationary bike for 30 minutes and did some free weights. I am also starting to do sit ups. Like I have said you are my inspiratation. I am staying at 1200 cal a day sometimes 1100 I am eating my protein first.

    Good luck with your doctors appointment Sharaon on Monday. Yes I agree that these support group is a great help to keep up the motivation that we need for this journey. Long --- great JOB wow what a difference. Can I ask all of you at what weight loss did people start noticing changes in your body. I am not sure if it hurts when people that you have not seen in awhile don't notice or don't say anything. Some people will say you look difference did you do something? But they are not sure what it is. I do feel it alittle in my clothes but not a huge difference. Well I am off to ride my stationary bike for 45 min. Have a great day everyone

    I totally understand how you feel. My doctor tells me that we are right on track 1-2 lbs per week. He said that we wont get to our sweet spot until we have about 6 - 7 cc in our band. I know its hard when you see everyone else loosing so much more than us. Hang in there at least its coming off.

    Well China I wish I could help with that questions but I had surgery years ago and those parts are gone! Glad you are all doing well. What is going on with this site. I am no longer getting email notifications? Anyone else having the same problem.

    Its great to meet everyone I am so happy that I was invited to this tread. What a great help and inspiration that all of you will be. I am so looking to have a great new journey with my band. I sometimes get discourage when I see the numbers that others are loosing compared to mine......but I try and not compare its just not that easy. I am doing everything the way I am supppose to and I am exercising. Lets just hope the numbers keep going down. Thank you again and its great to be a part of this group.

Palm Springs is one of my favorite places the husband and I travel there oftern just to get away as it is only about an hour from us. My favorite steak house there is Ruth Chris.     Hello everyone......glad to hear that everyone is doing well. My first fill wasy 2cc and that was on 1/24 I am scheduled for my second fill on 2/4. I am not sure if I need a fill I am having a hard time as it is eating 1200 cal in a day. I feel like I am staying full about 4-5 hours and I eat because I know I have to eat not because I am hungry. So when I go next week I will tell him all this and let him make the decision he is the doctor. I am also working out 30-40 min a day 5 days a week. Good luck to everyone.

    Thank you so very follow your program. I hope you don't mind being a mentor to me and to others because you are true inspiration to me........I love knowing that IT WILL and CAN work. That this weight will come off once and for all. I went to the store today and made that vegetable thing you said. I am looking forward to having it tomorrow for lunch.     Great job Laurel......keep up the good work. You will notice a difference with having some fluid in the band. May I ask how much do you want to loose total? I have a 10cc band and now have 4cc in it. I go for my next fill 2/4. Good luck my doctor told me to stay on liquids the day of my fill and mushys the next day.

And your right....I will DO this. Was your weight loss about 1-2 lbs per week or was it more? May I ask what kind of exercise you do and for how long? You are true inspiration to me. Rose

    Auggies, I know how you are feeling I feel the same why sometimes. But than I will eat something and it gets stuck and I realise I do have a band. We have to remember it did not take us 6 weeks to gain our weight. It is going to be slow (slower for some people). I keep thinking about what my doctor told me that most people dont start even loosing until they have 7cc in there band. So be grateful for what ever you loose until you reach that sweet spot. Lap Band it a slow process but if we choose the right foods and amounts it does work. I hope this helps. Rose

    Good luck everyone with your fills. I am definately feeling the restriction. I just hope the weight starts coming off. There are days I get discouraged when I look at everyone elses numbers.

    Hello Michelle and Tami I am also in Riverside and got banded on 12/15/08 by Dr. Coon. I am doing ok. Just seems like the weight is coming off alot slower than so many other people that I read of this thread I wonder if I am doing anything wrong. I am eating between 1200 and 1500 cal a day. I am working out about 30 min a day. Any advice?
