also forgot to say, i emailed fred and told him the money had been transfered and could he let me know when it was in their bank, well he emailed me back yesterday to let me know it was there so he was quite quick in replying but good luck xx

Hi guys glad to hear your all doing well, its taken me around 2 hrs to catch up with all your post's lol. I had the same prob with my doc she wasnt very supportive at all, i only have 9 days left till i go now, all the nerves are starting to kick in, we land at 9.30am on the 28th so we have a long time till check in but want to have a look around so if you have any suggestions of where we can go that would be great. I transfered my money across last week at a rate of 1.09 and the express service cost me £35 so glad you guys got it cheaper, i thought 35 was a lot to pay. does anyone have any advice about changing the rest of the money, do i exchange it here at a travel agents or get it on my card over there i really have no idea when it comes to this much money please can someone help!!!!!!!

Hi Pixie, when i told my fella he just said i should try to diet harder and exercise more,(he is 6ft2 and weighs around 11 1/2 st he has no idea) but the over the past months he has realised how much i want this and just gone along with it, my mum has been great worried of course but really good and so have my friends that i have told, they just said that they didnt realise that i felt that way about my self and were behind me one hundred percent which was great news, yourll be surprised how supportive ppl are when they realise it will make you happy. ive only got 13 days till im banded by dr chris and cant wait, everything sorted even most of the childcare ( Is anyone else going on the 29th may it would be nice to be with someone else) xx but good luck hun what ever you decide

i know how you feel hun it took me 2 yrs to decide to go ahead with this and even up until 3 weeks ago i was still wondering weather to cancel, i kept thinking i could be spending the money on the kids or the house and thinking that i was being selfish for having it done, but then something just clicked and i thought well ive put me to last for the past 9 yrs and some of the woman on here even longer so why dont we deserve to be happy!!!! but were on our way now hun xxxx

Hi Guys, just wanted to say regarding the deposit i think a lot depends on which bank it is as im with barclays and i could get it done urgent which cost 35 and would be in their bank in 1-3 days or 20 for 4-6 days i sent mine yesterday and emailed fred last night to tell him my flight details and let him know i had sent it, as im booked in 2 weeks tomorrow OMG its so close now im getting worried, better start my diet tomorrow. But glad all you girlies are ok and everything went well which its making me feel better xxx

he gave me my date of 29th of may and its a friday which is the date of the op i fly out on the thur come home on the sunday. I think they only do em friday and tuesdays from what i can remember. Jackie, i did a diet called lipotrim i got it from the chemist which you will be albe to find them on the net (google it) and i lost 13lb in my 1st week, its kinda the same as lighterlife i think (3 shakes a day) over 6 weeks i lost 33lb its kinda a quick fix so it may help. i rang fredie last night and he sounds a real dish (i remember someone saying on here he was a bit of a lucker) but sounded lovely and really helpful xx

Do you have her number because i would like to talk to her about after care. Also does anyone have any advise on the pre op diet i need to do, is it just low fat foods or should i do weight watchers for a couple of weeks?????

Carrie how on earth do you do your own? are you not worried about leaks etc?? right now im all booked flights etc i need to know what to take ive got listed, those melt things for pain, book, i pod, slim fast and extra baggy cloths any other tips guys would really help!! Thanks Tanya

I know what you mean bigsister im the one who wants them all lol, Great news for me thou i spoke to fred earlier on and he has confirmed that im still booked in for the 29th so all good just need to book flights now i have found it more expensive to go on the eurostar than to fly just hope ill be ok to fly but from the sound of you lot you have all done ok xx thanks for all your help today guys and glad your fills went well

Hi all im getting a bit worried now as i booked my date with Frederick in march and he said i was now on his operation list and said that i needed the deposit in their account at least 2 weeks before my op well ive only just managed to get all the money together and with you lot saying that all his dates are booked up im worried he will of given my slot away what do you all think????? ive been waiting so long i would be devastated if he has, i have emailed him tonight to let him know that i will be transfering the money in to their account tomorrow but im not able to get access to my email while im at work so its going to kill me tomorrow waiting till i get home!!! also what is this milk thistle you have been talking about and what is best for the pre op diet is it just low fat food? so to be a pain just worried now, thanks guys tc tanya x x

Hi All just wondering if anyone is being banded on the 29th May? im really excited but very very nervous to, my mum keeps saying to me "well wot if something goes wrong" its making me worse but listening to you lot it makes me feel a lot better. Hi Guys just wanted to wish you all good luck today for your fills and well done to you all on your losses, even thou i hear the bad stuff as well as the good it still doenst put me off having it done still struggling to get all the money together but i will get it lol i know its worth it in the end. Still keep having that niggling thing in my head thou, all that money speant on me when it could be spent on the kids or the house i think its trying to let go of that selfishness feeling i just keep trying to remind myself that it will benefit the family to in the long run wont it??? anyway sorry for waffling on take care all and let us all know how you get on today with those fills xxx

i know its boring hun but try drinking more water that usually works when its faulse hunger, its worth a try x

Hi Gary glad everything went well today, was this your 1st fill? flirtylass dont give up you have done so well but do hope you get the restriction you want soon, im pre booked for 29th may. if you knew then what you know now would you doing it again? other ppl on here seem to be happy with their results but like you said everyone is different just hope im a luck one but if i lost over 5stone in 7 mths i would be really happy with that you have done so well especially to say you havent had much restriction. xx

god that doesnt sound good, were you any good at dieting before you got banded? see i can loose the weight but just cant keep it off that is what im hoping the band will do for me. How much have you lost so far? did it work at the beginning or have you always felt like that? sorry for all the questions x x

how many fills/mls have you had? ive been reading about all the different size bands on here i didnt realise they were all different, have any of them emailed you back with an answer?

HI hun thanks for the response, i dont really have a problem loosing the weight when i get my mind to it, but its the keeping it off that i struggle with im just hoping that this will help with that due to the restriction ill have with eating because i love my salads and fruit and veg its just i have to have massive plate fulls and ive got into the bad habbit of eating just for the sake of it so at the mo im trying to keep to 4 small meals aday and stop with the picking coz i know i wont be able to when the band is in, anyway hun take care and keep up the good work x x x
