  1. hi. sorry to hear that you are not doing well... I am not either.. Most of you DID lose weight on the onset but I only lost about ten. I have had a lot of disappointments in life since then and one of them is the center where I went wasn't very supportive at all. I have been trying to do this on my own for 3 years and almost feel like giving up. I started at 220 and not sure if I am back to that again or not. I went into a chat room and boy did they rake me over the coals.. sad in itself that they didn't try to help.

Can I ask anyone that feels like helping me to tell me what you eat and any advice and tips you can offer? I didn't know there was a name for food I have been eating.. sliders? I can't eat meat or too much of anything that is healthy.... I am very frustrated. I paid cash and they didn't even try to get me paid by insurance.... I still kept positive. I didn't even know that we could get banded for free until a year! Now I have to pay 200 dollars.. that stinks. I only had one fill!

    Please help...

  2. Hi Thank you so much for your message.. The first fill I had I felt like I would die if I ate meat etc. I went to the Dr about 4 months or 5 even later and told him everything. He said, well what do you want me to do? I thought and I said well maybe just fill it a little so he did 2? does that sound right...It was a little better but I am just now getting where I can eat somewhat normal and I am thinking I need to go back... food gets stuck and I have a bad pain...

I have gone back to bad habits I have to say...because I mostly could only eat junk.. I have been lost like I said..

What is a typical day look like for a bandster and where do you guys get your fancy cute little graphs???

  3. Hi all. Nice to have this special place for us. Just tried to eat some turkey for lunch and up it came, after just a few well chewed bites. I can eat stuff like yogurt and Soup with never a problem. But so often food like meat and veggies cause me to PB and upchuck. It will start just after a few bites and I chew them up a lot. This is happening once a day, sometimes twice. Any one have this???? PB too muche_3_12.gif

    Hi Sunshine,

Ohhhh yes.. I have not been able to eat meat... They didn't tell me that in the begining.. I feel like I am going to have a heart attack.. My heart pounds so hard and I get all sweaty and feel like I'm going to die... Does anyone else feel that.

I am thankful to find this site because I really feel all alone and not doing well..

  4. Hi, You are probably overwhelmed by now..I have been banded 8 months and not doing well. I have had only 2 fills coz I am afraid. I can't eat hardly anything.. I am not happy with the clinic but Dr Paya did the surgery and I love him. They are not supportive at all. I think it was more of a plastic surgery place.. I paid cash and I am very discouraged. I have read what you have written and am going to work on that.. The only things I am able to eat are soft foods... not many of them are really healthy. I"m not sure if my resentment for this place is getting in my way but I do need some support somewhere, somehow....

    Love to hear your thoughts...

  5. Hi,

I was banded last August. I have not done well at all. I don't know what I was expecting but I am not happy with the clinic I went to. I like the dr but not the clinic. I have said all this time that I need a support group so Dr Paya finally mentioned this web site. I live right across from Facy but I am really open to having support meetings to find out what I am doing wrong.. To make this worse I had to pay cash.. That I blame on the clinic as well not trying hard enough...

Discouraged and sad... Cindy email me at cdyoliver@aol.com!!!
