  1. I tossed all my granny panties today. I also ditched my sports bras. I found out i have 2 boobs instead of one.

My friend and I are writing a cookbook geared for Gastric patients. I am the gastric patient and she is the thin health food guru. We bounce recipes back and forth and make them healthier and more delicious so we do not feel deprived.

The dreaded uniboob. I know. I'm still in my sports bra. Looking for something equally comfortable.

How wonderful!! Let us know the cookbook debut.

  2. Morning all. First of all I want to wish JT well today and to thank everyone for their condolences.

Although it's been a rough couple of weeks for us, with driving back and forth to NJ, road food and the stress of losing my DMIL, I managed to lose 5 pounds. My weight this morning is 244.

  3. Hey Everyone, Sorry I've been out of the loop. We left KS and drove to NJ (a 21 hr drive) a week ago Sunday for a 5 week vacation. Long story short my DMIL's health suddenly failed and we had to turn around and drive back this past Tuesday. They said she was waiting to say goodby to her son. She's still with us, but we don't know how.

Needless to say with road food and stress I'm a mess.

    Will keep you posted.

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss.

  4. Bradley, Yes my first fill was 5cc. Everyone I told thought it was a bit much, but I felt fine. I then waited 6 weeks & called for my next fill. They said I should have called them same day and their next opening was in August. I went but he said I was still losing so he wouldn't adjust me. Then last week I went and he gave me .5. I think I'm doing good.

  5. I have been journaling what I have been eating, but for over a month have stopped counting calories. So today I am starting to list everything, in hopes that help get me on track again.

    Joan, I've been using myfitnesspal.com. It's a great site.

You set up a profile and tell it your daily calorie limit. You can set up your specific catagories. The database has millions of food choices (and you can add your own if its not there). When you choose a food & amount, it adds it to the meal of the day you choose and breaks it down by calorie, Protein, fat and carb. And then tells you how you have left in your day. Give it a look. Judy

  6. Great Job Phyl. I'm two years out. Had my left knee done at my heaviest and the recovery was really hard. I'm planning to have my right knee done in June. Looking forward to being thinner. My neighbor is having BOTH her knees done today.

OML I wish her well. Keep up the good work. Judy

  7. That's why I went fo the walk. Walking helps me to get my thoughts together. Hope everyone is well.

Hi karenin. So sorry to hear about your Mom. Was she hurt badly. Hope your search is short and all goes well. It's beautiful here in Kansas. We are heading out to a community picnic in a bit. Congrats on your great weight loss.

  8. loulou- The other thing that is common is that people think their port has moved, but really it's your layer above that moves as you lose weight (the port is attached to the abdominal wall and as you lose weight your scar above it may be in a different place as your stomach shrinks).

This is what I feel happened to me. Now I feel it directly under my left breast and the incision is about 4 inches lower.
