  1. Just added myself after I found this one (still working on the New Year's challenge... .5 to go!). Thanks!
  2. LOL...I did buy the new bras out of necessity (while kneeling down between the racks hiding from any clerks). I haven't braved the briefs yet...it seems all the cute 'little' ones are in one section at my store and I am afraid I'll get looks from the skinny gals if I'm no longer looking at the giant grammy panties. Thanks for your bravery! Maybe I'll take DD with me...
  3. Down a pound this week...just .5 and I'll be at 75# (my next goal). I can't even believe I lost weight over Christmas...I ate snacks/appetizers, drank lots of alcohol and ate a little of everything, including a few cookies. I'm starting to feel 'normal' when it comes to food LOL! I love my band!
  4. Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays (without any big gains, like past years). I've been having such a fun time with the family...who knew I was such a bad driver (Wii Mario Kart...LOL)?!!
  5. Yep DB, just one of my many collections...I have some candles in some of them and turn ornaments upside down in some for the holidays...they sparkle with the candles burning. Hope you had a great holiday! -BG
  6. I ALWAYS learn something from your blogs Julie Ann! Keep yourself 'on the list', even if you aren't always the top priority. Life does get in the way sometimes and we all slip up. (((hugs))) to you.. -BG
  7. Sounds like a great plan...you CAN do it GF!!! What a great end-motivation!!! One day at a time and keep getting those fills if you don't have good restriction! -BG

  9. I hope you're having a blast with the family...I can just picture you smiling up on the slopes!!! Great job GF!! -BG

  15. Just want to wish Happy Holidays to all my Lap Band friends!!! I’ve been crazy busy, as I’m sure you have. The snowstorm Saturday kept Mom & Dad at home an extra day so they didn’t arrive until Sunday (so glad DH and DS1 made it home very late Friday night). Mom and Dad left yesterday and I miss them already. We had a wonderful visit… Dad especially, must have talked to me about my WL at least 10 times during the visit…it’s funny, since I saw them a lot this Fall and it’s not like I’ve lost more than 10 or so pounds since I last saw them, but he said he can really see a change. Dad was in a great mood as he has a new CPAP machine (I think he called it a bi-PAP?) and so he’s been sleeping better and it shows. He’s temporarily using a cane because he’s developed a heel spur, but for an 80 year old, he’s doing alright. Mom loves spoiling the grandchildren (all 12 of them) and the kids love it. I loved making the Christmas cookies with her and the kids. Mom and I stayed up late talking and laughing each night…it was such a relaxing visit. Today DH and I finished the errands and wrapping while all the kids were gone (and I finished making the rest of the cookies); DD had work, DS1 went to meet his new GF’s parents and see her (also a PSU student), and DS2 had school. So tomorrow starts all our traditions and I can’t wait. I'm sorry I can’t send you each a personal note, but know that I’m thinking of you all this holiday season and hope that you’re feeling my love as well as the love of all your family and friends…love is the best gift of all. I've been so blessed this year and am so thankful for your friendship. Happy Holidays!!! -BG

  17. Up .5# this week (and I've been putting off making the cookies...bourbon balls are my fav). Oooo JT...new floors for xmas, yay!
  18. Thanks, I hope it works...they really need a pill cutter for capsules! -BG
  19. Boy do I remember that 'holding pattern'. Enjoy the holidays...it's only your weight that will change. Your gifts sound wonderful...lucky recipients!!! -BG

My fav was the FF refried beans with some cheese and mild salsa, and greek yogurt with the beans (like sour cream) or with some SF preserves. Mushies...yum! -BG

  23. Kathy- Yep, I'm not thrilled about DH/DS1 driving 4 hours starting off after 9pm. It's mostly back roads (Happy Valley is in the middle of nowhere).
  24. Good job Heather! We're here to support you, and it's never to late for any of us to get back on the band wagon again!
  25. Well, Mom seems to have forgiven me for not coming out there over Christmas. She didn't realize that DS1 has Finals through this Friday night...get this; his last final ends at 8:45pm...YES, I said PM!!! FRIDAY NIGHT!!! What are these Professors, crazy? Anyway, DS1 call us three times last night seeing if we would pick him up on Friday (we were going on Saturday morning). According to him, he'll be ‘the last student on campus’…so DH is going to get him Friday. Mom & Dad are coming Sat. for two nights now, and I can’t wait! Back to wrapping…
