what the heck

ok so i was banded two days ago. and when i went into the hospital my scale at home said i weighed 255.2lb and when i got up this morn is said 262lb someone please tell me that it is just water weight or something.

It is water weight/swelling and gas. As your body heals your weight will go down.

Its from the IV fluids and swelling. In my pre-op class, they told us to expect a gain of 10-20 pounds immediately following surgery. Mine was 10 and its taken about a week to get rid of that water weight. Just drink as much fluids as you can because that is what will help get rid of it.

Remember to Keep walking and and plugging along be compliant to on your meals and you will be down in no time..

I came home to a 10 pound gain from the fluids...you'll start losing it. Congratulations on the banding!!! -BG
