Hey girls! Thought I'd catch up with all of you...it's kinda depressing in a way reading how well you're all doing when I'm not really "working" my band these days. But I guess I've got a good excuse! I had another unfill last Friday, I'm down to 3.5 cc's and feel much better. I was feeling noticably tighter almost every day and had gotten stuck a few times. Now I can eat anything (rice, pasta, bread) but I still can't eat alot of it. For example, today I went to Quizno's and got a 4 inch sandwich (turkey, no cheese or mayo, it was healthy!) and was able to eat all but a couple of bites. No chips or anything and I was totally full until dinner. Tonight I had brussel sprouts, zucchini and 3/4 cup of risotto and was STUFFED. I could've eaten just 1/2 cup I think but it was just so good! I've still only gained 2 lbs and I'm 12 weeks today! I have my 12 week appt tomorrow and will have another ultrasound. I'll be sure to post pics when I get back. I can't wait to see the little baby squirming around and see all the little body parts and know that everything is going good. Everyone have a good night and I'll post pics tomorrow!!!

Hey girls, sorry I haven't been around much. I've been reading off and on this week, just have been really busy and haven't had time to post. I'm doing so much better, my cold is totally gone and so is my morning sickness! I'm 11 weeks tomorrow--WOOHOO!--and am finally getting some energy back. I haven't worked out in several weeks so I'm hoping to get back on the bike and/or treadmill this week now that I'm not sick in the morning. I have an appt with Dr. Baggs on the 9th and am going to ask for a little .5 cc unfill. I've been noticing that I feel a tiny bit tighter and I'd like to be able to eat bread...I'm craving turkey sandwiches... Just wanted to pop in and say hello! My weight is doing okay, I need to adjust or just take down my ticker. I've only gained about 2.5 lbs so far so I feel pretty good about that! Have a great week everyone!

Hey girls! Just letting you know that I'm still alive. :seeya: We're down in San Clemente (So Cal) for 6 days, heading home tomorrow. We've been staying at an amazing house right on the beach and have had a blast. My cold finally went away but Sophie woke up with it today, poor thing. My morning sickness seems to be gone! I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and haven't felt icky for 4 days now thank goodness! I'll post more when I get back, we've just been busy and I haven't been online at all. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hey girls! Just popping in and thought I'd try to answer your questions. 1--the glue came off of me about 4 weeks post op. I was in NO hurry! I wanted those incisions nice and closed up. 2--the itching is a bitch! It should go away in a week or so. 3--they'll make your follow up appt with your surgeon. It'll be about 6 weeks post-op. 4--don't forget to make an appt with your PCP for 2 weeks post op. They'll look at your incisions and make sure you're healing well and not infected and just do a well check on ya. Glad to hear you're all doing well! I'm so nauseous still, SO sick of it and I woke up today with a horrible sore throat and head cold. It really sucks especially since we're going on vacation in a couple days! Luckily we'll be relaxing at the beach and I guess I can do that while being sick too...dangit. Have a great week!

Don't use soap yet. Just let the water run over them. I think you can use soap in a few days or a week...

Candra I remember being able to shower after 48 hours, so you should be able to take one this morning! Enjoy it!

Hey girls, I'm SUCH a happy girl now! Dr. Baggs took out 1.5 cc's so now I have 5 cc's. I have an appt next month to see if I want another tiny fill but I'm not sure i want to tempt fate. Maybe I'll just accept the fact that I'm pregnant and give in to a few cravings and then try to be good the rest of the time. I dunno... I feel SO much better though with real food in me! I ate some salad, bbq chicken and 1/2 a baked potato for dinner. I was so happy everything went right down and I'm about to have a little tiny mint brownie with 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream. YUM. Maria, sorry I didn't see your post! My appt was at noon but I got in at 11:45 and was out by 12:05pm today. Quick and painless! Well, almost painless.

Getting ready for my appt and thinking of Candra. I can't wait to eat lunch today! I'm so hungry!

Yes Donna, I have it on my calendar to make a video this week. I'll probably make monthly videos since there won't be much to report on the weight loss for the next 7 months, lol. I'm not showing yet, actually feel less bloated and poochy then I have in a week or so from losing so much so fast. I'm sure that once I start eating 1200 cals again I'll put a couple back on pretty quick and I'm okay with that. Sophie is SO excited to be a big sister. I try not to talk about it too much because I don't want the wait to seem like forever for her. After the holidays are over we'll start planning and buying stuff and decorating the nursery since we'll find out the sex at the beginning of December. The wait won't seem so long to her if she really only starts thinking about it alot after the holidays, and the holidays will keep her distracted for the next few months!

You're exactly right on Riley. Dr. Baggs said that all the extra estrogen in my body is making all the organs swell and that's why 6.5 feels SO tight to me when 6.5 was where I was at at my FIRST FILL! It's amazing to me how different 6.5 feels now then when it did in May. CRAZY. I was also reading in my preggo book that I already have produced an extra 10% more blood than before being pregnant and that at the end of pregnancy I'll have 40-50% more blood than pre-pregnancy! No wonder we feel so heavy and swollen and bloated at the end! I can't wait to eat some real food tomorrow! I can't promise that I won't drive through In-N-Out on the way home though...I've been frickin' starving!

Hey everyone! SO---I'm heading into Vacaville tomorrow to get a small unfill with Dr. Baggs. Thank god he'll be there and I don't have to go all the way to Richmond! When I had my fill on Thursday I drank a sip of water through the straw laying down, but when I sat up he never had me drink the usual cup of water. I didn't think about it until I was on the drive home and was drinking my water bottle and noticed that the water was backing up in my throat (I could've gargled it!). I was hoping it would settle down by the next day but it didn't. Since Thursday all I've been able to eat is cream of wheat, applesauce, pudding, tomato soup. I've pb'd pickles, chicken, and pineapple. I'm okay drinking water now but food is just not happening. The good thing is that I've lost almost 7 lbs since Thursday! lol, not the healthiest way to do it but Dr. Baggs isn't worried. He said as long as I can keep my fluid intake normal that I'll be fine until Monday. He said I don't have to go to the ER in Richmond unless I can't drink water, but thankfully that hasn't been the case. Anyway, long story short I'm going back tomorrow to have a little bit taken out. I'm gonna ask him to take 1cc out, then we can play it by ear and see how I'm doing for my appt with him in Vaca next month. Just updating you all...will let you know how it goes tomorrow!

I'm so excited for you Candra! I was also first in the morning and was there at 6:30 and out by 2pm. I had to wait a while to do the barium swallow and slept in the wheelchair in the hallway until they wheeled me in. It was really pathetic looking actually, haha! GOOD LUCK! You're gonna have us all thinking amazingly positive thoughts for ya.

NICOLE--Dr. Baggs said I can keep all of what's in my band the whole pregnancy UNLESS I'm losing too much weight, not getting in enough calories, or PB'ing very often. I want to be comfortable so I'll definitely listen to my body and do what I need to do. At some point I might need to have a little bit taken out (I just had the fill yesterday but I feel VERY tight today and even pb'd once tonight. ) as he said that organs tend to swell later in pregnancy and I'll feel tighter than I did earlier in the pregnancy. I'm just gonna take it day by day and see how it goes!

Yeah, I'm not rushed, but I will love it when I'm there! I sure love that day after fill weight loss though! I had gained 2 lbs but weighed and had lost 3 as of this morning. YAY! So now I'm back to my pre-preg weight and officially getting a do-over. I have really good restriction too! I've been getting full on 1/3-1/2 cup of food today, but I've been eating 4-5 times/day so that I make sure I get enough calories in. I'm still shooting for 1000-1200 a day. I can't wait to get my energy back so I can start working out again. I haven't worked out in almost a week cuz I'm nauseous and tired. Only a few more weeks of that left hopefully!
-
That's cute! What store were you at? That's a 12 you said? So cool, I can't wait to be in a 12!
-
It's the 9th I think, when is yours? It sounds like he'll be there on Fridays. It won't be group fills for me anymore though (I don't think) until after having the baby. Isn't that great that we won't have to pay bridge tolls and deal with the traffic and gas mileage? I'm SUPER happy about it!
-
Candra--Dr. Fisher was my original surgeon and gave me my goal weight too! I was 295 at orientation and he wanted me to be 270 for surgery, so 25 lbs...how much did you have to lose? I still can't believe how much Heather has had to lose, that seems NUTS to me! But you know what? She'll be totally ahead of the game before even getting a band and that's awesome! I actually lost more weight and lost it faster PRE-BAND doing the 1200 cal meal plan. They're onto something with that!

OK!!! I frickin' love Dr. Baggs!!!! I had my appt this afternoon and he put back----2cc's in my band! I'm back up to 6.5 cc's and can definitely feel the funnel feeling when drinking Water. He said since I'm preggo it's okay to have more full liquids so I'm eating runny cream of wheat right now. I was so hungry and nauseous! He said I don't have to have any taken out (I might even get another little fill next month) unless I'm losing too much weight or PB'ing too much. Baby first obviously, so I'm not expecting too much weight loss...I'd be happy to lose the few that I've gained in the last couple weeks and then to maintain until I'm further on in my pregnancy. OH! And guess where my appt is next month? VACAVILLE! YAYAYAYAY!!! I'm so happy he's gonna be doing fills there. I told him I had heard rumors but didn't want to be nosy and ask him but that I'm so happy to hear it's true. I told him I'd still go to Richmond or Pinole to see him if the person at Vacaville wasn't him. I definitely want him to do my fills! So for the girls that have Dr. Fisher!!! Know that he's WAY more conservative than Dr. Baggs and be prepared for that in the way of fills, unfills and pregnancy. Dr. Baggs said that they all have very different opinions on pregnancy with the Lapband. I like his view MUCH better than Dr. Fisher!

Morning girls! I have my appt with Dr. Baggs today at 4:30, what a crappy time to drive out there and back but oh well. It was either that or wait until the 29th of Sept and I'll be out of town then. I'm hoping for a small fill and I'll let you all know what happens and what his plan for my pregnancy is when I get back. I'm curious to see if he'll completely unfill me at some point like Dr. Fisher was going to make me to at 13 WEEKS! That just sounds ridiculous to me... Gotta jam! I'm working in Sophie's class today, then getting a haircut, then off to my appt. I'm gonna be hecka tired tonight!
-
That's so cool! I do mine on the 25th of every month since Nov 25th. It's awesome to see the progress. I don't think I'll take my measurements for a while though...that may be a bit depressing.

Here's Baby Swish! Everything looked great today, we got to see the little heart beating away and it's SUCH a relief to know that everything is going perfectly! Wanted to show you all the pic, I know it's really blurry but I'll have another ultrasound next month and that one will look much better. It's just so little right now! Hope you're all having a great day. I am now that I know everything is fine!

Tina--I never puked with Sophie, just was nauseous a lot. So far it's the same this time. NO puking, just nauseous. I'm just thinking of getting the RX to be on the safe side and have it on hand just in case the nausea turns into puking. I think I'll not stress so much about it if I know there's something to prevent it if needed.
-
"Band baby"...that's adorable!
-
Oh and Riley!!! I'll totally have that pic up here by tomorrow afternoon. I can't WAIT to post it! Walk walk walk and drink drink drink! You can totally get that yucky water weight off, I know you can. You kick ass!
-
CANDI!!! It's like a Christmas miracle seeing you on here! lol. It sounds like you are too tight, that sucks...you must be pretty miserable. I hope you can get in to see him soon and get a little unfill. Have you been losing or gaining or staying the same? I'm happy with a girl or boy, but for Sophie I kinda hope it's a girl so she can have a sister. I don't know what I'd do without my sisters. I'll totally take ya up on the clothes though! Boy or girl, I'll need 'em because the ones I've saved from Soph are almost 6 years old and I don't know what kind of condition they'll be in. I should find out right before Christmas if it's a boy or girl...I can't wait! I just can't wait to stop feeling so nauseous...I hate that part! I might get an anti-nausea RX just to have on hand so I don't puke...I DON'T want to have my band slip, that totally freaks me out!
