My new surgeon's office wants me to send in a picture of myself with my application. Should I send in one that is bad on an average scale or actually look for one that really makes me look bad (worse than usual, anyway)?

I am thinking about including this note in my application packet that I am sending off to the new surgeon. What do you guys think? Should I send it?

Not really. I decided not to send it when I was mailing off the stuff.

That's like hearing myself talking. I am your height, and weigh 220-225. One of the things I heard when I went to a support group was "You're so small, you don't need to do this." All I can say to people like that is, "If you had had the chance to have surgery before you got to the point where you had a BMI of 45 or 50 and full-blown diabetes or heart disease, wouldn't you have done it? I know what is in my future if I do not have this surgery. Both sides of my family have a strong history of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. My mom had to have both knees replaced when she wore them out because of her obesity. At least two of my grandparents died of heart attacks. Both of my grandfathers and two of my uncles have had heart bypasses. To put it simply, I don't want to wind up that way, so I am doing this now, when my obesity and health problems are still reversible.

This new surgeon better get me approved for surgery! If I have to fill out ONE MORE of these freakin' medical history packets, I'll scream.:mad:

I think my brother got the baby genes in the family. He loves kids, especially the small ones. He can't get enough of my cousins' kids. It's fine by me, because now I can let him give my parents grandkids and I can hold the babies and give them back to him.

Yeah, my genes suck. I do not want to pass them on. Heck, what have they done for me except give me tendencies for obesity, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune problems, mental problems, and PCOS, and make me really short? I'll probably wait another couple of years before I seriously start looking for a doctor that will be willing to tie my tubes, though.

If I could, I would probably get my tubes tied. Unfortunately, there aren't that many doctors out there who are willing to sterilize a young woman who hasn't had children. Seriously, sometimes I wonder what it would be like to experience pregnancy and childbirth, and then I see a colicky baby or a bratty 4 year-old and I remember why I don't want them. There aren't many situations more stressful for me than when my enire family gets together and it seems like I am surrounded by my cousin's young children. To be honest, if those situations occured more than a couple times a year, it would be enough to make me avoid my own family get-togethers.

And we don't know if this is actually true or not. For all we know, she did take Trim Spa. I learned a long time ago to listen to gossip with a grain of salt.

Don't forget "could care less". I don't care what anyone says, that isn't the correct phrase! The correct one is "couldn't care less", because you are trying to say that you literally don't care about something. If you say "could care less", you are saying that you do care.

I like them when they are behaving and aren't pooping and peeing on me. If they start screeching, I send them back to mommy or daddy. I have to say, kids are one of my biggest peeves. It drives me nuts when they are brought into public and won't behave and the parents do nothing. Do I understand that parents can't always control their kids? Of course. But I do think that they should take them home if they continue to cry or run around and bother people, especially in settings like movie theaters or restaurants. The other people are there to relax and have fun, not listen to or watch a bunch of rowdy kids!

I, for one, am extremely grateful that I was born when I was. I don't want to ever be married or have children. If I had been born in the '50s or even the '60s, that is what would have been expected of me. Heck, even now I get some odd looks when I tell people that I don't want to be married or have kids. I always get the same comments, "you'll change your mind when you're older" or "it's different when it's your own children". I usually just smile and nod because it is obvious at that point that they aren't going to listen to me. Forgive me, but I don't feel like having kids on the off chance that I won't despise them. It wouldn't be fair to the kid, especially if everyone is wrong and it isn't different with your own kids. I just plain dislike children that are older than several months old. They make me uncomfortable. I don't like the screaming, the whining, the sniffles and snot. Being around them literally makes me uncomfortable in my own skin.

Her mom is something else. So is at least one of her sisters. I feel sorry for Anna Nicole, but I really feel sorry for her daughter. That poor kid is just a meal ticket to everyone.

Exactly. There wouldn't be a market for porn or strippers or hookers if people weren't buying them.

I think they should be able to accept the forms I filled out for the first surgeon. It was all basically the same, anyway. I've got to get my file transferred to them, so they would have had the information.

I think it was pretty obvious that Anna Nicole wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, but I really think she did the best she could. She supported herself and her son, and I think that judging from the way her mom acts, she didn't have much support and help from that arena. I mean, she could have wound up on welfare and working minimum-wage jobs for the rest of her life, and probably would have worked herself to death. She really did use the assets she had, and I respect her for that. She wanted a better life for herself and her son, and she got it.

Exactly. Anna Nicole was someone who we all knew, in some ways. She was young, had a new daughter, and had to watch her son die in front of her. Former nude model or not, I feel sorry for her. She definitely didn't have a very nice life. And really, can you blame her for using what she had to try and get ahead? I think I would have tried it too, if I had her mother.

Why don't we call them what they are? They are mumus, and they make anyone wearing them look giant, even when they really aren't. My suggestion is to get scrubs. They make them now in all sorts of styles, colors, and designs. You can even find scrubs that don't look like scrubs. I know you would jsut be wearing it to paint in, but you might as well be attractive while painting.

I read last night that there weren't any obvious drugs in Anna Nicole's system, but that they are still waiting on the toxicology reports, which could take up to a month. That baby looks an awful lot like Zsa Zsa'a hubby, if you've seen a picture of him. In matters of custody, I personally think that the wishes of the person who died should be followed, which means that Granny probably wouldn't even be able to come near the child. I think the woman is disgusting. At least Anna Nicole was honest about what she was. Her mother is just a money-hungry hag who can't seem to stop bashing her daughter, even after she's died.

I am going to add my two cents here, as well, which might start another fight because I am (Oh, the horror!) an American posting in a Canadian thread. Who knew it was such a faux pas to post in a thread? I also feel that once a surgeon has done enough surgeries to be considered "an expert" by the makers of whatever band they use, they are as good as any other "expert", even though they may have done only a quarter of the bands as the other guy. An expert is an expert. Going to Mexico is a personal choice that should be made after considering several factors. Of course, the experience of the surgeon is a major one, but so is the comfort of the patient. For me, I would only go to Mexico as a last choice because I am not comfortable going to another country for surgery.

It's not that it doesn't affect us, but in my case, I just consider death to be part of life. It is something we all have to experience as human beings. To me, there just isn't any point in allowing it to overwhelm me, because that won't change the fact that it is an experience that I have to go through as a human being that loves other people.

In fact, I vote that all of us who object to that to go over to that thread and post.

To me, telling someone that they are not allowed to post on a thread, simply because they aren't "the right nationality" is more ban-worthy than whatever you may have said.
