I have long since figured out that it is a waste of time to try and show you evidence. We both (and most other people here, too) know that you don't care about evidence. I have debated science and evolution with more knowledgeable people on this site, so I recommend you go find those threads. Every statement you make shows how ignorant you are about science. At this point, I am not even attempting to have an intelligent debate with you. I am just winding you up and watching you blow.
-
You of all people, saying this? Incredible. You know Ron, I like you. At least you're always good for a laugh.
-
So, wait. Why did you get that little implant called the lap-band? It was made with that unreliable science, you know. Seems a little hypocritical, doesn't it, only accepting science when it benefits you?
-
See, the only sources that count are the ones that can be supported. If it isn't a scientific source, it has no business being used to support or discredit a scientific theory. If they actually did investigate their sources, they would have known that their "evidence" had been disproven.
-
Actually, they were what I like to refer to as "gullible idiots". Instead of investigating the theory they were protesting, they took the word of some guy who knew absolutely nothing about what he was writing about. If they had done their homework before making up their minds, they would have known that all their so-called "proof" had been disproven with actual evidence. The horror! Someone actually expects them to be able to back up their claims! It's absurd!

TommyO, I have no doubt he knows the scripture in the Bible, that wasn't what I meant by saying his knowledge was debatable. I was referring to the way he interprets those scriptures and his knowledge of the actual message. He is absolutely 100% sure he is right, and he won't even contemplate the possibility that he either might be incorrect or misinterpreting. I think you and I agree on the topic, actually. Instead of considering other people's positions, he basically cries, "La-la-la, I can't hear you!"

Unless you have short arms, and then the style just looks like your full-length sleeves shrank. All the 3/4 length sleeve shirts I have ever tried came about 2 inches above my wrist

I would have to agree with her. Although, I think taller women carry their weight better. A 200-pound woman that's 6 feet tall looks a lot thinner than a 200-pound woman that's 5 feet tall.

You don't mind being challenged? Right, I guess we all just imagined the past 103 pages of this thread. You are starting to sound like, "I'm rubber, you're glue. Anything you say bounces off me and sticks to you!" Grow up a little, Ron. It's sad when someone a fraction of your age is more mature than you. I find your knowledge of the Bible debatable because you have been wrong about everything else that you've talked about with the same seeming "authority". I think it's pretty common-sense to think that maybe you really don't know as much as you think you do. And by the way? I'm not impressed with myself. I know my limitations, and I abide by them. I know that I don't know everything.

:hail: Personally, I like watching Ron go:boom:. It's fun.

What stage are we at, so far?
-
I've met people that I think could be future-Rons. Does that count? My first semester teaching, the class I was assisting in was a biology class for education majors. I have never seen such a close-minded group in my life. There were a couple of ring-leaders that were absolutely frustrating. We'd tell them how evolutionary theory was supported, and they would just say, "Nope, don't believe you. So-and-so wrote a book that says otherwise." I just wanted to yell at them, "So-and-so didn't know what he was talking about. Everything you've said is COMPLETELY WRONG! I'm not going to discuss this with you until you've got a legitimate argument, because all the objections to the theory that you've come up with are explainable when you know even a tad about evolution, biology, geology, etc." It was mind-boggling to realize that they were going to become public school teachers and that they were going to have to teach the theory, especially since they probably weren't even going to teach it correctly, anyway.
-
At this point, Ron is simply blustering. I think that in real life, he has never encountered people that challenged what he said. I think they thought that since he knew so much about the Bible (which is debatable), everything else he said had to be true, also. Here, he's encountered people that, put simply, know more than he does and aren't afraid to challenge his statements. Since we aren't standing in awe of his knowledge, we're somehow attacking his Christianity.
-
I'm not sure, but I think he means "you and your shadow". As in, he thinks I am your little tagalong. He apparently doesn't understand how two people can actually stick up for each other. ETA: Removed a statement that I think may have been a little too strong. I don't want to sink to that level. ETA #2: Apparently, I can't spell this morning.
-
Sweety, you didn't invent the saying, so I wouldn't go around touting your originality.
-
I agree, you are! I was speaking to Ron, by the way. Don't want to offend you, Weetsin!

Apparently it's a popular method all over the internet. I frequent several blogs, and we get some folks like that. Apparently, they commit "psueicide" or something like that, where they pretend that they are dying or were in an accident or have some horrid disease just to get attention and gifts from other people. Of course they have to leave the blog eventually, when they "die". They also come back as "sock puppets" under another screen name. They invariably get found out and there is usually a huge blow-up on the blog between the people that believe them and the people that think they're fakes. It's really great entertainment.:heh:
-
Can I predict something or not? It seems to me that we're at stage 3 of this tantrum, so far. Ron, if you keep acting like a child, we'll treat you like one. I think you are committing the same sin you charged us with doing to the Bible sometime in the early days of the thread. You are picking bits and pieces of people's posts, but you are missing the entire message.
-
I do when they aren't even defendable. There is a difference between "biased" and outright "racist".
-
Thank you. That's all we've been asking.
-
Ron, have you researched the organizations behind those sites? The fact that you are using them to dignify your "opinion" has solidified your bigotry, IMO. You should maybe look for better sources than a racist organization and a bunch of racist crackpots. From "Ending the Race Crisis in the 21st Century" on http://ourcivilisation.com/usa/. Disgusting.
-
Ron, it's the freakin' FBI. The FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION! Do you know the meaning of "logical fallacy"? Blacks may or may not commit a majority of crime, but what crime they do commit is generally against other blacks. In other words, your white rear is probably pretty safe. At least, unless you go to Harlem and stand on a street corner and start spouting off about how blacks are killing all the white folks. I can't vouch for your safety, then. So, asinine statements can be excused by saying, "It's just my opinion, of course."? Pretty sure it doesn't work that way, Ron.
-
Does anyone else feel like they are slamming their head into a brick wall?
-
Ron, page 91, post #1360 by Tired_Old_Man contains the link. I also posted it again for your convenience.

According to the link I reposted for Ron, 83% of white folks were attacked by white folks. 91% of blacks were attacked by blacks.
