  2. Congrats to everyone. Keep it up.

Not having fat roll up all over.

Lots of room in my recliner

    Walking and not getting tired

    Off or reduced all meds

Don't mind looking in mirror or seeing reflection

Having my stomach far away from steering wheel

    Crossing my legs

    Wearing a size 10-12

Hearing my hubby and childern call me skinny.

I am far from skinny but to them and myself I am. Have eight to go

to reach goal and was baq:)ded 14 months ago. It will happen for all of you, so hang in and work that band.

  3. Jades is a great restaurant. Used to eat there a lot when I worked for Wells Fargo,of course the owner Tony always gave us free meals. For Barb and Pinky, we all enjoyed lunch with you so much. Thanks for coming and Suzanne do I have to make a special trip from Longview just to meet you. The cruise was great and made lots of new friends, of course old Sallyjo's band had to see how tight it could get and she ended up calling Speigel before she left the ship and he sent me to the hospital ER for an unfill. Gonna let it rest for a while before next fill. At least I did'nt gain any cruise weight.:D

  4. Hey to all my new buddies. So enjoyed meeting you all.Just need to explain that I was'nt shunning anyone on our wonderful cruise. Blame it all on the band. That sucker just kept getting tighter and tighter until it almost ruined it all for me.I did'nt feel like myself throught out the trip, but anyway as some of you know I headed to the hospital in Houston and had an unfill as soon as we got in. Another one of those things the doctors can't explain. No fill since the 1st of March and all of a sudden starts getting tighter. I could'nt even drink coffee the morn. we disembarked. Anyway to bring you all up to date on Ali's flight home. Bless her heart we stayed until she got thru security at 11 AM Wed.

She called at 6 and had just gotten to Chicago. Bad weather in Chicago.Called this morn and of course had missed her flight out of London and had a 10 hour lay over there before she could get out to Athens. As of now which is 4:15 she has been home for about 2 hours.

She had such a wonderful time with all of us and we had another wonderful 2 days with Judy and then back to Brenda's for her last night in the good ole USA.

Oh by the way this hurting band did'nt stop me from making one of the slumber parties. The doctor that took my fill out ask what I loved most about the cruise and I said the food if I could have eaten. So he quips

well that's not all bad is it,not only could I not eat it just plain hurt.

  5. First let me say how much I appreciate all your prayers. We just got the call that my daughter has been put on the liver transplant list. What an awesome God we have.It has been three weeks since we went for evaluation and we were supposed to have an answer in two weeks so we were getting a little nervous. She called to to tell me to have a great time on my Lapband cruise and then said if I told you I got on the transplant list would you have a good trip. Oh they never quit being our babies do they.Keep the prayers up that we will get the main call and I love you all.

    Sallyjo:)

  6. Thank you everyone for all your prayers for my daughter. Her liver transplant evaluation went great. We won't know until two weeks if she made the list but one of the transpalnt doctors and her RN Coorindator said they saw no red flags why she would'nt.Baylor now has two lists you can be placed on. The Baylor in Dallas and Baylor All Saints in Ft. Worth. It was a long week but I have never met such dedicated transplant people that Baylor has. Most days were testing from 8til 4 but they put us up in an apartment that was very nice and very close to the hospital. The junior league of Dallas prepared dinner for us on Thursday and we were able to meet seven liver transplant patients who were all doing great. These were people whom had,had their transplant in March and April. Baylor requires you to stay in the Dallas area for three months following surgery. We left Baylor feeling much better altho Pam and the family knows how sick she is and the problems she faces until her time comes so keep us in your prayers because you better believe they work.

    Sallyjo:)

  7. To all my prayer buddies. Up date on daughter. I will be picking her up at

the airport in Dallas tomorrow afternoon and then on to Baylor for liver transplant evaluation. Will be there all week so please keep us in your prayers. Pam is in the end stages of liver disease. Thank you all from

    the bottom of my heart.

    Sallyjo--Fran

  8. Welcome from East Texas. You will love your band. Just follow the band rules nad work it and watch those pounds fall off. I need to change my ticker some day. I am right at goal and have'nt had any problems except slacking on the last ten pounds. The best of luck to you.;)

  9. Meme,That has happened to me twice. I just completed my first year a couple of days ago and am only a few pounds from goal ,but last September I was almost seven weeks into a fill when it hit and the next time was in Jan. this year about four weeks after fill. They only had to take a dabble out but had no reasoning why it happened.Good luck to you and don't wait to long to get an unfill it will be instant feel better.

  10. Why in the world did your doctor do a complete unfill. All you needed was a small unfill and you would have been fine. Maybe you could be like me and a few others I know just get small fills at a time.I am right at a year and am right at my goal by just getting little fills at a time. When I first started or a few months down the road I realized I could not handle big fills and had to have small unfills twice. Good luck to you and talk to your doctor, you can have good restriction by working your way up to it.:)

  11. Coming up on my first year and is funny now but sure was'nt then.I had my surgery in Houston and anyone from there knows what it is like coming from downtown. You don't just pull off the freeway anyplace. I did'nt have to go before I left the suirgi-center so off I went in my shorty pj's and a short robe.About half way home I had to go very badly and by the time my hubby found a place I thought well I am just gonna have to pee my pants. I told him to run in and see if they had a bathroom cause it was'nt easy for me to get in and out and I did'nt want to be arrested for peeing in his parking lot. Well he had one and hubby came and got me and the bathroom was very small and my hubby would'nt leave me and we could'nt shut the door. I finally told him I really don't care just stand in the doorway, but anyway oh yeah you will more than likely go right away.

By the way good luck on your band would'nt trade mine for anything and yes I do need to change my ticker. I am almost at goal.:)

  12. I have had to get a little unfill twice in the last year after about seven weeks from fill and loses. My doctor had no clue what caused it to get tighter after so long and after loses and I was'nt having pb's.Almost to goal tho so yes it has happened. The first time I tried to wait it out but it just kept getting tighter to the point of where liquids would'nt go down so the second time it happened I did'nt wait at all before I had a very small unfill.;)

  13. Just wanted to thank all of you who put my daughter in your prayers.Got some good news this morning. Her doctor is sending her to Baylor in Dallas to be evaluated for a liver transplant. Thanks again and God Bless You All.;)

  14. Yeah Susan, No your not missing anything. I feel the same way and am almost at goal with my band. Keep the right restriction and you won't need diet pills. What in the world for? Or maybe I don't know, but at my age and as many diet pills that I have taken, yes I do know. Throw them away girls and excerise and keep good restriction and watch those pounds fall and watch that energy level go up.:)
