  1. This story is for those who care to read this. When I wonder how in the world I am going to make it through my ywo weeks of liquids(started today, banding tomorrow) I just think of my brother whom I was extremly close to. I lost him last July to ALS. For about the last three months he could not eat nor swallow anthing but a sip of Water and a couple of sips of ensure. The only things ALS does not touch is your feel sense and smell and hearing. He had the best attitude of anyone I have ever seen- from the time he was diagnosed until he left us. So if you are having a tough time- stop and think. At least we can have different liquids and as much as we want. The best to all. I look so forward to being a bandster.

  2. Hey Welcome:girl_hug: I live in Texas and will be banded on the 25th. I went to a seminar on the 1st of April and have my pre-op This Thursday. Don't know why some take so long. I researched for about three months and decided I was ready. I think I might be the oldest on this board. 62,

Good luck and if I can be of farther help let me know.

  3. Happy Easter Everyone. My band date is getting closer 4-25.The only reason I am nervous is how will I know what I can eat and not eat. Is it just trial and error? I can make it through the liquids and the mushies but what about when you can have solids. I love my fruit, chicken and fish.Could some of you please re-assure me and tell me some things you eat. This is the greatest site.

  4. Hello Everyone, Just got my call yesterday for my date, April 25th. I got a little nervous after the call ended, but I just logged on and after reading I felt a lot better. This is a great support site. Wish me luck and tell me I don't need to worry. Start weight 220 Goal 140:clap2:
