Gene, as you can see I had the same doctor as Susan so the same from me but I can't believe he did not put you on post-op restrictions. Your stomach does have to heal and mine was swollen and bloated for about four or five days. I am two weeks out and just today started mushies. Let me know if I can help any other way.

Hey Linda, I am thirteen days out today and start mushies tomorrow and I still feel the same way. I felt weak for a few days and thought the same thing about not enough calories, but it passed and I am still only doing around 700 and feel great.I just can't hold anymore,but I am enjoying that feeling and pray it continues.

I really don't know but I have had both carotid arteries done and a stent in my heart and that was all the more reason to have it done. Had to have a cardio clearence first. I bet someone on here can help you out . I am in Houston also

Try and move and walk around the house all you can it just makes it easier. My hubby helped me in and out for a couple days and then I just swung my little fat legs over and up I came. I walked in my yard and all over the house and walked two blocks outside on my second day. Good luck to you and as they havae all said it does get much better.

Hey I thought I was the Nana of this bunch at 62 and you tell me we have a 73. Allright!!!. I am one week out today and doing wonderful. Was banded by Dr. Spiegel- Houston. Have not had any problems except a little gas and still no hunger.What a bunch of swingin grannies we are gonna be.

Hey Kat You are doing great. You are one day ahead of me. What does isopur taste like. I am on high Protein slim fast but yours has way more protein. Keep it up.

Hey, Congralations. I am five days out. Look on the post about foods and you should find your egg drop Soup. I can only have Clear Liquids this week so it is high Protein slim fast, chicken or beef broth, 2% milk, sugar free Jello and sugar free popicles. Don't you dare be afraid. I researched the band for months and am 5 days out. I am close to your weight, I live in Houston. I had a surgery date set before I found the thread where a lot of problems were occuring. Scared me to death. I understand people do have problems but it is a small percentage. Find yourself a good doctor and go for it. You can personally pm me if you would like. Good luck

Thanks everyone for the help. I did walk as much as possible and took malox and gas x. Thank you Lord anhd all of you it is gone this morning.Don't know what I would do without this board.

Can anyone give me some good advice fro gas besides gas-x. This is my fourth day out and the only time I have had it. Under the back of my ribs on right side. Almost makes you nauseia,

Banded yesterday. Went in surgery at 8:45 was home by 1 p.m. Feel great, tummy a little sore. Nogas pains so far and no hungry pains. I am so glad I am finally a bandster.
