  1. This preacher had informed his members that he was leaving their church because he just was'nt making enough money. It really upset them so the owner of the local Toyota dealership jumped up and said please don't leave I will give you a brand new car. One of the wealthier men said I will pay your salary for a year. An old woman stood up and said I will furnish you sex. Everyone just gasped. After the service was over some elders walked over to her and said mam what ever possessed you to say you would furnish the preacher with sex. She said well I ask my husband what we should do and he said screw the preacher:omg:

  2. A midget went to the doctor and said doc my balls are getting blisters and hurts like hell when I walk. The doc picks him up and stands him on the table and says oh I see the problem and gets his snippers and the little midgets hears snip, snip, snip. The doc says okay that should fix you up now jump down and walk around for me. The midget says hum does'nt hurt any more but doc I heard the snips but did'nt feel anything. The doc says I know I just trimmed a little off the top of your boots. :heh:

  3. My doc said to let them come off by themselves. Mine finally all came off in about three weeks. I just need to know how to get the sticky junk off that they left. I have used alchol rubs and it took part of it off but not all.If anyone has a clue please post it. Thanks:)

  4. Hey from Houston Macs99, Good luck and congrats. to you on being banded. I think there has been no one who was'nt nervous before being banded. I was but after I got to the surgi center very early that A.M. I was'nt. I was nervous but a lot excited also. I can promise you everything will be okay. We are all different in our recovery. Mine went extremley well. I am almost one month out. I have dropped 19 pounds and doing great. This is a great board. Welcome and let us hear from you.:) :clap2:

  5. Good Morning and congradulations on your date. I just moved from Lafayette last Dec. Got to watching adv. here in Houston on the lapband and started doing research. Called and got setup for seminar and less than one month later had my surgery. As one bandster told me stay away from the complications post. Yes they do happen but to a very small percentage.I would do it again in a heart beat. You go girl. :D

  6. JoJo, Don't you dare be embrassed. Look at all the support you have on this board.I am 62 and so wish we had a tool like the band many years ago. I am almost a month out and am doing great. Yes I was a little nervous after I got my surgery date call but then it turned into excitment.

You hang in there and I promise you won't regret it.:D

  7. Hey Girls, I am on my 23rd day and have dropped 19 pounds and lots of inches. Just be careful of what you eat and eat healthy. I dropped 15 and then thought I never would and this morning I had lost another 4. I excercise everyday ( Walk ) and don't eat between meals. My doc says no more and no less than 4-6oz per meal and Recommends nothing but a Protein Drink for Breakfast. I make my meals last at least 30-35 min. and don't drink for at least an hour-hour and a half afterwards. I eat fish of all kinds just baked or grilled, chicken, ground beef, pork loin and then nothing but veggies. Hope this helps some of you and keep it up.:D

  8. Good Morning Bug,As far as I am concerned you will be making a very wise decision. I will be three weeks out tomorrow and would do it again in a heart beat. All I can say is I wish this was available years ago.Take care and welcome as a future bandster.:)

  10. Happy Mothers Day to all. If you still have your Mom love her with all your heart and let her know how you appreciate her. If she is gone to that special place in heaven for mothers God Bless You and all you single mothers hang in there. I was so lucky to have a wonderful mother of eleven childern. I lost her in 1996 to colon cancer and alsheimers. To those of you taking care of parents I took care of my mom the last year and a half of her life and even tho we had to completely shut our lives down it was worth every second.Today I miss her so much and miss going home.

To you single moms. It will be okay. I have been there too.If you will just stop during the day and Thank God for all your blessings I promise it will be a beautiful day.

Bless You All On This Day 5-14-2006

  11. Girls we all love a pretty tan. I lost a beautiful sister-in -law from what the doctors said was caused from a tanning bed. Melanoma on the inside.I used to lay out every Sat. all day long when I was younger. Last year I had to have a skin cancer cut out just above the eyebrow. Thank goodness I caught it early and it was'nt very deep. I use Loreal tanning spray and lotion-very good and no streaks.

  12. Hey and Welcome, Does your title tell me you may be from down South?

Don't even think you are to old. I am 62 and am 13 days out today and doing wonderful Have dropped 15 lbs. so far. Could not have ask for things to have gone any better. I researched about four months and then attended a seminar and that made the decision for me. Would do it again in a heart beat. Let me know if you need any more questions answered. My hubby was behind me all the way also so that is great.:)

  13. Michelle, Well as I have found out on this board everyone is different, but I had no problems except a little gas pain one day only and malox took care of that. Other than being sore for about four days there were no problems.I had no kind of pain meds. My hubby had to help me in bed and out twice and that is because we have a high bed. When I sat it was in my recliner and I slept on my side the first night. Was walking four blocks the next day. I walked a lot around my house and yard. Felt a little yucky but nothing major. Good luck to you.:)

  14. Dawn, There is nothing that can take the place of prayers and honey pray I will for you and your family. I am so sorry about your Mom. I will pray for you to be as lucky as me with my band. So far no problems at all. It will go well. I have my oldest daughter that has all the problems your Mom had.

    Love and the best,

    Sallyjo
