Hi Rachel, I am from Carlisle. I have 2 more months of my required 6 month diet, I can not wait for surgery! I read about you having a herniated disk, I too have the same problem and the neurosurgeon would not fix it because of my weight, just like you. Where did you find a surgeon to fix it, what was their name?? Congrats on your sucess!

Hi there... I still don't have my date but it will be in about 4-6 weeks. I go to my family doctor this week to get my medical clearance then they should give me my date. I am so excited and ready!

Thanks for checking in! I go next Tuesday, that's my last apt. of the 6 month diet... so soon I will know if the insurance will approve it, I pray to God every night that they do!!!

Well I had surgery Friday and today's monday so 3 days post op and I am doing better then I thought I would be. My pain level isn't bad at all, I actually have just been taking tylenol now because the perkoset makes me too sleepy, all I was doing was sleeping. Now granted it does hurt some when I move but it feels better to move around. Good luck, it will all be worth it!
