Had my surgery feb26th..Its 3 days later, am in a lil pain but walkin helps alot..The gas is extremely hard on me..Gas x helps some..Just when you hiccup that is soo painful..But other then that..Ihavent had much of an appeite so not that hungry..Just been drinkin gingerale,broth,had a Protein shake, which made me gasey, but I am still sore from the operation..But the operation went fine..I was there at 11am had my surgery at 1pm went home at 5pm..So I did pretty well.I have a follow up with my dr this friday..He didnt fill my lapband cause he said that u are swelled up after the surgey and if he was to fill the band I couldnt drink at all. So I wont have my first fill for 4 to 6 weeks..So that is ok with me..I will keep ya posted. Also thanks for everyone's support..You guys are the best... preop diet feb13th 207lbs Banded feb26th 09 193lbs Goal is 125lbs I know I can do it..

I was banded 2 days ago..What gets me is the gas feeling,its unbearable..I took some gas x,its helps a lil..But I have been on nothing but liquids..I drank coffee,broth,ginger-ale and lil bit of jello..I havent had any nausea(thank goodness)..I am in pain, but I have been walkin alot and tryin to move some..But hang in there, we are gonna be just fine..Its a new beginning for us and in the long run its worth it...Here's to a new look and feel...

Thanks everyone makin me feel at ease..I am ready for tomorrow..Gotta be at the hospital at 11am, surgery at 1pm..(Deep breath)..I am thankful to have other banders support...You guys are great....Wish me luck....I cant wait..I will keep ya posted on how it went...Hugs to all ya....LAPBAND WHAT A DIFFERENCE YOU AE GONNA MAKE IN MY LIFE....

Tonite..I had some rice..I figure I went this long with the diet I thoought I could have some rice..But since I ate that now my tummy hurts(shame on me) But I got my protein drinks(powder) at GNC..Its really good I can mix it with either skim milk or water, The water seems to help better with my hunger. I have lost 11pounds being on that diet..And, I can only imagine after tomorrow since its only liquids for another 2 weeks I may lose 10 more wooohoooo me..I never said but my weight was 204...I am down to 198 now...I am glad about that...But we are gonna be looking good..YEAHHHH I cant wait...Hoope everything goes well tomorrow for you..I am gonna be on lapband awhile tonite It helps me calm down talkin to other banders...

That is great..We can recover and share our experinces togerther...I am nervous as ever..I was on here last nite til 3am reading the lapband stories about before and after surgery. It made me feel at ease somewhat..I just hope they give me some good meds... :thumbup:

Hey Greg I bought some whey Protein powder from GNC. Its pretty good..I used it for my liquid diet and I know we are gonna need it afterwards as well..Where are you gettin your surgery done?

We are havin our surgery on the same date..OMG...I wish you luck...I am a lil nervous but yet excited to have the lapband..Let me know how yours goes..Only thing I dont like is the liquid diet...Geesh..you think they would let u eat good til the surgery..lol..but oh well its to help us n the long run and soooo worth it...Hope you have great success as well..Let me know how it goes... I know how you feel..I am on the liquid diet as well and I have my surgery in 3 days(Feb 26-09).. Plus I am nervous and excited and the same time....not to mention I am hungry..This liquid diet really is tough, but I am adjusting..Good Luck with your lapband..Let me know how it goes... :w00t:

Am from Mcdonough Georgia..Got my approval for lapband Feb 09-09..Started my post opt diet Feb 13th-09..That is the worst part the diet...Geesh went from eating regular food to just liquid now..I dont like it so much cause it makes me feel full(which I know is gonna happen, all that liquid)but its a hard thing to go through, but I know in the long run it will be well worth it..But my surgery is set for Feb 26th-09..I cant wait..I am happy and nervous at the same time..I will keep ya posted... Started my Post Opt Diet on Feb 13th. MY surgery date is on Feb 26th-09...This diet is gettin me..One min you go from eating..Then to liquid diet...Woah...Just seems when you are on the liquid diet, you have alot of fullness(which I know is likely) But Makes me feel fat..YUKIE...Like to full ya know..But in the long run I know it will be well worth it.. :rose: First Seminar was Nov18th-08 Had Psych and Nutritionist Dec 12-08 Approved Feb 9th-09 Post Opt Diet Feb 13-09 Surgery Date Feb 26th-09 The Road to a Healthier Me... :tongue2:

I am hoping as well to be banded in March 09. I got approved Feb 9-09..I see Dr. Gorjala next week to for my surgery date..I cant wait, So hopefully I will have the band in March..I will keep you update..I live in Mcdonough, Georgia.. Does anyone know a good psyc dr for my eval..I am tryin to locate one.I have bluecross/blueshield..My insurance covers the lapband..I attend my seminar nov 18th..and now am following up with my PCP..For Medical Necessity Paper..I just need to locate a psyc dr for my eval..I live in Mcdonough Georgia..My surgeon will be Dr.Gorjalia...I am new to all this so could someone give me some info what they have went thru and all..I am sooo wanting the lapband.. BMI 39 as of nov18th/08...Anxious and excited...:thumbup:
