  1. Just thought I'd mention...I'm fairly certain that I saw Jack in the "Pirates of the Carribbean - Deadman's Chest". It was a wee part and you really have to pay attention to the extras in the bar fight scene and the scallywags scrubbin' the ship's deck...but yup...pretty sure it was our Jack!!!
  2. First of all...of course Mandi....leave it to you to bring up this particular topic!!! Colon Cleanse???!!! ewwwwwwwwwwww I have never seen these infomercials....what the hell are they doing in Miramachi!!!! Second of all: LMAO @ Big Paul....okay....now THAT was funny. Lastly: a PROFESSIONAL?? They have people who are PROFESSIONAL POOP SHOOT CLEANSERS???? OMG!!!! What kind of qualifications did they have to get for THAT? (or are they merely chimney sweepers on their day off?). Who THINKS of this stuff??!!! God you learn something new every day...and here I thought I was so cosmopolitan!!! Ummmmmm....do they have professional nostril cleaners too??? *shakes head*. I'm stickin' to what Elizabethsew said. *mutters to self*.
  3. :biggrin1: hmmmm, sometimes me thinks that Jack should be my Jedi Master!!
  4. still proud to be a PB virgin. *knocks on wood*
  5. LOL @ Teresita!!!! *innocent look*...Cloe...nourishment?? BWWWAAAAAAAA!!
  6. Mmmmmmmmmmmm those were the same vitamins I took (the wildberry ones). They were yummy!! I'm okay to swallow real ones now though!
  7. LOL Now see what you've started Cloe!!!!! Terestita.....now you ARE making me hungery....mmmm cheese steaks!!! But, ahem, the thread Cloe was so gingerly referring to didn't literally have anything to do with "real subs" but rather the penile kind!!! (ie. the "adult content" thread under the lap lounge!). I do believe you know which one I'm referring to! But now you actually make me want to have a sub!!! LOL
  8. Cloe...I"m just curious (sorry, no advice here)....but where are you actually feeling the pressure??

  10. I'm with what IBLoser said. That is my philosophy on this. Not telling anyone unless it will help them and THEY inquire. It is only my parents, husband and 3 friends who know about it. Interestingly enough, one of my friends (we live in the same place) also had it done and she is very open about it. She also feels that she has had no negative reactions. BUT of course, she hasn't had any "to her face" ....but she would be surprised to learn that there are several negative reactions and bad judgements about it (they just don't broadcast it to HER). I hear about them because they don't know I had it done as well. Naturally I'm quick to defend it and it shuts them up but that is one of the several reasons I don't say anything. I have enough going on in my life, I don't need to deal with anyone else's negativity or judgements or "secret" talk behind my back. I"m also in a specific career field where this would be HIGHLY looked down on. ('nuff said!). To each his own, for their own reasons; I respect the decision anyone makes on this issue....for them and their own personal reasons.
  11. Take it easy Sunshine and be good to yourself. Sorry you are feeling like dogmeat (ewwwwwww....what a visual!). It WILL pass. I guess I was fortunate in that I didn't really experience this gas pain I've read about. One day at a time and next thing you know you'll be doing cartwheels!!!
  12. Yes, I understand Neenagh. But, I suppose if worse comes to worse I'm sure you can talk the Doc. in not using their actual letterhead paper (I'm sure they've had this come up before) and being very discreet and not use the word "elective" etc. Just want you to know that you have other options if it has to come to it so that you don't needlessly worry.
  13. You're both better people than I am! I gave up on it a long time ago!!! No time or energy to waste on something that unproductive!!! LOL
  14. LOL.....I know where you're heading with this Cloe, you rascal you!! I betcha you're on the prowl for a BIG thick juicy sub!!!!! And yes, I know the thread you are referring to...did it take you this long to find it!!? LOL hehe :biggrin1: :biggrin1:
  15. Excellent! Be good to yourself over the next few days!
  16. I always try and use distance by hours of driving time too!! It makes it that much easier to fully comprehend; so no worries!! I know exactly where you are now from your description!!
  17. hey neenagh...you don't have to tell your boss (ie. if it isn't when your vacation time is). All you have to do is say you are having "minor surgery" and it is none of his business what it is. If he pests you about it, you can tell him you are merely having a "hiatal hernia" removed (it is lacarascopic and has same recovery time). Not to worrry!
  18. Hmmm some views but no posts?!
  19. Thanks! That just about covers it (except for the lack of boyfriend details!) LOL. The job you are referring to: is it the children's game programming one (or something like that?). Either way...good luck with it! You'll be in those apartments in no time! Yup, I'm sure you are looking forward to moving out of the "rooming house"! The apt. sounds really great! Yes, I've heard of Miramachi....I've been to Oromocto/Gagetown/ Fredericton a few times! I'd have to consult a map though to see exactly where Miramachi is. Is that where your b/f is from (that area?) originally? Oooooh, I agree about PEI and Charlottetown. I went camping on PEI several years ago and it is waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy amazingly goregous!!!! And, yes Charlottetown is such a pretty city. Yeah, your mom prob misses you and your company but you are correct; parents want their kids to be "free" and happy and she wouldn't want to hold you back in any way....they are usually selfless in that way! That's funny about you being the "big city girl" from SK to the Eastern folk! haha. In the early '90s I lived in Halifax for one year (had moved there from Ottawa) and I remember the thing that utterly amazed me the most was the attitudes of drivers towards jaywalkers! In Ottawa...you would seriously be taking your life in your hands if you walked off a curb to cross the street...the drivers in no way, shape or form will stop for you and let you cross....you're lucky to get through a crosswalk (on a green light!!) intact from Ottawa drivers. So, imagine my shock when, in Halifax, all you have to do is look like you are considering stepping off the curb to cross when all the cars within a mile screech to a sudden halt, smile and nod and wait for you to cross. Okay, so I'm exaggerating the details, but you get my meaning!! It was a pleasant surprise. Although I had to definitely learn to expand my peripheral vision and be on the lookout myself for "would-be jaywalkers", as having learned to drive in Ottawa, it was NOT all for one and one for all!!! heheheh. All that to say....enjoy your time in Miramachi!!! Hmmmm *wondering* are they called "Miramachis" or "Miramachinians" or "Miramachiets"? Oh well....I won't lose any sleep over it!! Tks for checking in. I guess it was really only me that was the nosy one! :embarassed:
  20. Yup, both of those books were AWESOME!! Angels & Demons is even better than DaVinci!!! (my opinion). However if you like those, DEFINITELY read his "Deception Point"!
  21. Hiya, Okay, yup...I've read about the golf ball feeling. I got restricted on Thurs. Off and on (more on for the last day) I've had this odd feeling in the back of my throat area (& maybe a wee bit lower) like something is "there" (but I know nothing is actually there). It's not pleasant....not painful per say but certainly discomforting. I could understand if I ate something and then this feeling resulted (well, not completely understand; but a lil' bit)...but I'm getting this feeling even when I don't eat. For instance I've been up this morning for 2 hrs now (haven't eaten yet) but yet I "feel" this feeling (whether it is a stuck feeling or golf ball feeling, I don't know). Can anyone explain to me what this is? and will it go away? Just doesn't seem right to me.
  22. Dan Brown's "Deception Point". I only began it 3 days ago and am 3/4 way through (nice big fat thick book!)....I can NOT put it down. In fact, what am I doing here when I can be reading it right now!!! LOL Seriously, AWESOME book!!!!!
  23. Howdy...hopefully some folks in BC will fill you in on some of the info you are asking about. I'm in ON so I can't really help you out on those specifics (unless you want to go to Toronto for the surgery)! As for the insurance question...from my understanding, none of the provincial plans cover it and Blue Cross doesn't yet cover it (and IF they ever do it will likely be quite some time before it comes into effect). Although I know there are some people who are in a battle with blue cross but with little luck so far. Good luck and I hope some BC folks respond for ya!
  24. Nice to hear from you Loriely. Too bad about the wedding but probably a wise decision! Be good to yourself!
  25. Okay, so I finally have some restriction now (since my fill on Thurs). About 2 or 3 hrs ago I had a digestive cookie (just one) and I feel something "sitting" sorta I guess where my band is....it's not painful, although it is slightly discomforting. About 30 mins ago I had a bit of hot tea thinking that might help (it didn't). So, my question is....(because our supper is almost ready) should I just avoid eating right now and wait to eat supper until this feeling has gone away? I'm not sure if I should "test" it and take a few bites of supper or if that would be completely stupid. I REALLY don't know because I don't know if this means something is stuck (in which case I know I shouldn't put more food on top of it...right?) or if it is just a weirdo feeling that you normally get with restriction. Advice appreciated!!!! Please and thank you!
