  1. Thanks guys. :nervous
  2. I don't "swim" per say.....I only dog paddle!! count me out!!
  3. That is EXACTLY what happened to me. I found out also (during the depression) that it was due to the aneth. ....it really helped me a lot, knowing that I wasn't going crazy; that there was an actual reason for all the tears. So, try not to fret about it too much! And, yes, if you do a search, you'll see a lot of threads like this come up! It too, shall pass!! Hang in there!
  4. No Tim....I don't believe it is an indicator of failure AT ALL..... no worries....you'll do fine once you are banded!!! You'll have to!! LOL :rolleyes
  5. I just told my boss "minor surgery" and "nothing to worry about". He tried to press a bit for more info and I said..."really....it is minor and don't worry about it". I think he assumed (which I was hoping he would) that it was something "Female" and so he backed off and didn't ask more. As for my co-workers (mostly female) I knew I would have to say something more. So, I said I was having a hiatal hernia removed. They didn't question it at all....I just sort of said it and then changed the subject. And then....in the days leading up to it, I didn't raise it again...I think they just forgot about it. I had read up on hiatal hernia in advance and so knew it was a good reason....same type of surgery (lapr.), same recovery time etc....so it was a good match. In case I got any further questions, I also read up on exactly what a hiatal hernia was...it's symptoms, causes etc....so I was prepared. But, like I said...nobody asked further because I was sorta vaguish about it when I mentioned it and made it sound like it was soooo not a big deal.
  6. LMAO @ Cloe... Okay....noooooo more icons for you!!!!!
  7. A lot of courageous folks here...thanks for sharing!
  8. LOL @ Sugar!! He's afraid of water and so you pick a cruise for your holiday?!!! You tryin' to tell him something!!! heheeh!!! Poor guy!
  9. Jude: soooooo glad u are going to make a "day of it" in TO!!! Mandi: AWESOME news....sounds like a great place to work and a great boss to work for! I didn't realize that Dan worked at the same place. How kewl is that!
  10. :Banane27:     Grrrrrr.... Okay...so my personal challenge for Aug was to lose 8 lbs. The first week, I lost 3 lbs so I thought that was excellent and that it was a great start for my challenge. Well, apparently they found their way back to me....this morning was my weigh morning (every Sat) and I am back up those same 3 lbs. WTF????!!!!! I know, I know....all the stuff about "your body is adjusting" etc etc (I've said that myself)...but dammit....that is sooooooooooo freakin' frustrating. I'm not changing my ticker....but I'm back at 234 AGAIN (which I was at for 3 weeks prior!). It is just so disheartening to me because I SWEAR...I've been good....I work out like a DEMON every day (60 mins cardio/20 mins strength trg)...so exercise is not (and has never been) the issue. AND I've been eating well....food choices have been good....albeit I know I don't have sufficient restriction and that will help. I can't help but wonder if it is the PCOS rearing its ugly head. I'm drawn back to what a doc told me awhile back (before surgery)...he told me (and I quote): "you have PCOS; no matter WHAT you do you will NOT lose the weight". Imagine how that made me feel (cause even then I worked out like a demon). :( :( :(
  11. eep...that was close for Mr. Loriely! Glad he got his date back! Get a goooood sleep the night before!!!

  15. Hey Kim...glad to hear that the surgery went well!!! A new beginning for you! Don't worry...you'll feel so much better in a couple/few days. I didn't have any of the gas pain/shoulder pain etc...so can't help ya there. But the heating bad was a godsend on my abdomen area. Be good to yourself over the next few days.
  16. Wow Loriely!!! First fill already!!! Kewl....how time flies!! I'm glad to hear that it went well & that Nancy had no problems!!! Is Mr. Loriely getting excited about his upcoming date?
  17. Hey Sugar....ur loss has been AMAZING!!!! I see you have had several fills...sneaking up on restriction I guess.....so....do you feel you are at the right restriction...is that partly why the great weight loss? aaaaah, Bahamas!!! ya should have told me, I would have gone in place of your hubby!!! LOL Again, WELL DONE!
  18. I'm pretty sure she meant vitamin E oils! BTW, just a word of caution before ya start putting vitamin E oil on your skin....it can cause a wicked allergic reaction in a number of people; so be sure to check a small area first!!! I know this from experience....I can't use vit. E on my skin at all.
  19. Tks for that vivid description Argon!!! Yeah, hubby just told me about the horse thing......so you don't need to go there... ewwwwwwwwwwww
  20. Okay tks Devanna...you just verified what my husband said. Grrrrossssssss. Like I just said to my husband, I can't believe that I'm 41 and that I am just finding this out NOW!
  21. OMIGAWD!!!!! I just asked my husband about the cat balls/neutered query and he confirmed that they do indeed hack 'em off... OOOOOOOOOOOMIGAWD. So, they are CASTRATED?????? Okay now I'm realllllly freaked out...hubby just told me that the same thing happens to dogs (whom I loooooove) when they are neutered......that is soooooooooooo cruel............
  22. Yeah tell us!
  23. WOW....ya learn something new every day!!! I had noooo idea that male cats didn't actually have penises that hung out (ie. like a dogs). That is Frrrrreaky. I just assumed...which I guess I shouldn't have. maaaan, the things you can learn here on LBT....... ummmm....okay...stupid question alert: when a cat is "neutered" do you mean it's balls get totally hacked off??? They just don't get like snipped like a vasectomy or anything? ????????????????
  24. I do believe it is merely saline in my fill.
  25. LOL @ Argon & Devanna.... ??? I'm a lil' confused.....granted I don't have cats (not really a cat lover in the first place....truthfully...they scare the bejeepers out of me...I have yet to meet a cat who doesn't HATE me and try to attack me)...anyways I digress.....do cats not have those wee lil' things we like to call PENISES?????????!!!!! Is there no such thing as a CAT PENIS????? How can you not tell????? (seriously)...??
