hi guys well I survived sort of. I went the night before my surgery to see world trade cente which was to take me off of concentrating on me,,then i came home after eating burger king AND popcorn in the theatre and then made NACOS and ate those til the time struck midnight.

I didn't hear my alarm clock go off so I left my house 145 mins later than i thoughti should have with out a shower..cuz now I can't have one til sunday.

So I get to TBLC, Kathy was lovely as were the rest of the staff. NIsrine came in early and I told her about my food fest pretty much since the bbq on monday and she said, oh I am going to hear them page my name when they open you up and say "did you tell her about the diet"?

Then the anaesthetist comes in he seemed nice, so I go to the OR and he could not get my iv in,,;ets see we are up to 5 tries and at this point I am thinking this is not a good omen and they say that I ama nurse who knws too much, yup! then the anaesthetist says he will just put me out then do my iv, and I said umm no I don't feel comfortable with that and I am starting to want to call this off and get off the table ..... so they are all around me, and dr yau holds my hand and I apologized for being wimpy, but hell I can do an Iv in my sleep so I was getting nervous,,,, so I am ready to leave but I could feel myself giving into the medication so I had no choice and thenwoke up later in recovery. As for my LIVER., I was fine, no probs, and i have been private messaged by some who ate liek I did the night before and did not have a specific diet, just ate til surgery day, so luckily I was fine. I am uncomfortable,. in alot of pain. Just took 1 tab of tylenol 3 every 4 hours til today ( feels worse) and took 1 tab of demerol, but i feel yucky. so this is the start i guess. Thanks for your support and i hope to be sounding happier soon. And mand anytime you need to come for a fill or anything you can stay here.

thanks cloe, but is there anything that make you abit more comfy? I can't take deep breathsm that hurts, my shoulder hurts, abdomen, don't ask.... no position, not hot or cold drinks,,,,,,argh, not fun for now, just waiting til it starts to get fun!

Way to go Kim, you did it!!! I found the first week after surgery I was hooched, but then I started feeling great. That first week for me felt like an eternity, I just wanted to get on it and start losing weight. I don't have any advice on how to make yourself more comfortable, only that it will get better and you WILL feel normal again. Well, as normal as we can right? Good job!

Kim, I used hot water bottles, heating pads, and chewed gas x for the shoulder pain, otherwised just sat still for a day or two. I was pretty well after 2-3 days.

you guys have really been such super friends if I may use that term since we have never met. I am in some pain and nothign reallyhelps and i don't like to take meds so Iam trying to keep it at a minimum. Never hooched mean't wiped out Buffy, thought it had to do with alcohol.Hoep I get on the mend soon enough so I can meet you guys for a sept challenge!

Glad everything went well for you Kim, the shoulder pain will go away in a few days, like Cloe suggested take Gas-X for the pain it helps.

Maria:)

thanks Irish and Oh god the shoulder pain is not fun...feels like I am going to blow up, lol and also that I ate the whole thanksgiving day dinner myself!

Hey Kim...glad to hear that the surgery went well!!! A new beginning for you! Don't worry...you'll feel so much better in a couple/few days. I didn't have any of the gas pain/shoulder pain etc...so can't help ya there. But the heating bad was a godsend on my abdomen area.

Be good to yourself over the next few days.
