  1. Kim...but how do you know what Ikea she was at??? There are 2 in TO and one in Newmarket (tho I doubt she was in Newmarket!).
  2. *ROTFLMAO* Now, THAT is freakin' HILARIOUS!
  3. MANDI!!! Did you hear that? That is kewl WoodyS about your GP doing the fills.....and Buffie's has no problem either. Time to get yourself a GP Mandi and forget this other doc guy that has no sensitivity!!!
  4. LOL@ Neenagh!!! that's funny. I have the opposite problem...I have a comp at work but this site is firewalled out!!! Hey...do you not mix in flavoured extracts with your Optifast??!!! That makes a whole world of difference!
  5. Glad it went well Mandi and that made it home safely!!! I know EXACTLY what you mean....when I got my last fill....I did the same thing (& still do to some extent)...I stop because I figure I've eaten enough and I don't want to get stuck....I don't think I"m stopping necessarily because "I'm full". But, whatever works I guess!!! I've gotten less conscious about it as I know I'm eating more than I did the first few weeks after my last fill....that will hopefully change after the 25th (next fill). I hope this one does the trick for you!!!! At least Dan's Cookies are safe now!!!! LMAO
  6. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah my EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been BLINDED!!!
  7. Hey everyone.....how are my fave Canuks doin' on the Canadian August challenge???

  11. Yup, I think you will be fine for your trip to Mexico....altho I agree with what some others have said...don't get a fill before you go; get it when you return! Congrats!
  12. Hey Eva....u should consider changing your avatar to that beeeeeeeeeooooootiful pic you have of yourself!!!!
  13. ahhhh, we are such a diverse bunch, aren't we? LOL
  14. LOL I feel your pain!! We've been lucky (?) at work lately....we can't have stuff lying around becaues we are having a mouse problem!!! Hmmmm donuts or mice....hmmmmm....
  15. LOL I do stuff too ya know!! In fact, this morning I put a roast and all the trimmin's in a crock pot and we just finished having that!! Yummm...ooooo so tender!! I'll admit though, he normally does the cookin'....hey,he likes to so who am I to stop him and his creativity!! LOL
  16. MMMMWWWAAAAAA.....we have you fooled!!! ahahahahaha!!!! :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1:
  17. YUP....it is crystal light for me (basically the same as flavoured water!!). I'll also squeeze some lemon into regular Water and it is just as good. Here (Canada) not only do they charge extra for the "flavoured" water (as opposed to the non-flavoured)...they also charge tax on it (whereas they don't on the non-flavoured). I also still drink my caffeine free diet pepsi....no probs! Of course, I don't drink as much as I used to...but when I do, I have no gassy probs!
  18. Susan: soooo happy (& relieved) to find out that your port revision went well!!! Yayyyy!!!!
  19. Garlic, basil, garlic, oregano, garlic, salt, garlic, pepper, garlic, and Italiano...oh yeah...and more garlic!!!
  20. I only told my husband, my parents (who live far far away!!) and 2 very close friends (one who also had it done). If you want to see what others' views are on this, there are a few threads on the "General" site that you can find by doing a search. Personally, I wanted (and still want) to keep it to myself for a variety of reasons, the least of which I didn't want to be under a microscope. Plus, even though if you tell people, they may be "supportive" and nice about it to your face...behind your back, that isn't necessarily the case at all (even with friends). I've experienced this with my friend who had it done (and told everyone!)....she thinks everyone is "with her" and supportive but she would be surprised about what they are saying behind her back. Of course I stand up for her...but it is disturbing!!
  21. amourette: glad u are feeling better!!!! Alisonb: you silly gal!!!! glad you are back!!! don't compare yourself to ANYONE.....got it??? I have learned not to do that too! BTW, for the record, I'm still a PB virgin and hope to remain that way!!!!

  24. Okay, in honour of LOVEULOTS17LOV who just got her first job, I thought it would be interesting to say what our first jobs were!!! I'll start.... Other than the obvious babysitting gigs, my first "real" job was at 17 when I got a job at a short lived fast food joint called "Frisco Jacks". It served sourdough with different toppings (not dessert like toppings....but real meal toppings....like chili etc). I was soooo embarrassed when I started working there (it was in an upscale mall to boot!) as I had to wear this BIG ol' BRIGHT RED chef's hat with a matching apron...and sometimes they made me stand out in the mall with a tray of freebies to lure the customers in..... It taught me a lot though and I met a lot of great people!!! However, it also told me that I would never have a career in the food prep or food service industry!!! LOL
  25. Congrats on your first job!!!! I remember mine!!! The pay check will be nice!!! LOL
