Hi fatpants bet your getting all excited/nervous now?!..get your money changed yes!..i noticed it had gone down today...but it was at its lowest when i changed mine beginning of jan...it was .97!!.i was gutted cos changed mine at marks and spencers and the day after it went back up to 101. i saw in the moneyshop window today it was 108. have you got a moneyshop near you..its the one with the yellow sign that cashes cheques etc...there is no commission or fee etc..last week it was 112 there.. good luck anyway..ill post you again before monday to wish you good luck! x

hi freckles..hope you and your mum are doing well, sorry you got a bit of pain..the pain around my port returned and i have had it all week, its whenever i flex my stomach muscles(and you do that more than you knew you did!) or cough/sneeze.. couldnt bend over but just been in hot bath, had few minutes on sunbed and took "diclofenac" which my husband was given after an op last year, and its gone now!..im not going to be surprised if it comes back though, but at least i know i can get some relief, its as if my stitches holding port in are too tight and pull. anyway ill shutup moaning!.. yes it was sammy with the baby who went at the beginning of week..she was having bit of a break, then im sure her op was today..so good luck to her, shes gonna find it hard work looking after baby for few weeks..hope she gets the help. i thought someone else was going too today?..its fatpants op on tuesday..hope it all goes great for her.. Anyway,ill see you tomorrow night for curry at mine!? just bring a bottle,dont let me down! everyone else is coming too! x

Hi Mandy, your not boring old bugger!..it just seems that there are more post bandsters on at the mo than pre bandsters..we all know how your feeling, weve all been there..my husband thought i had "lost it" too as it took over my life before i had band, it was all i thought and talked about..once you have made the decision,you want it there and then!..and its like waiting for xmas!..i think we are all a bit obsessed on here...and impatient too, i certainly am!..the bands not that magic wand id hoped, and it is still hard work, and slower than id hoped..i know i have a good few fills before it starts working properly for me...but it is frustrating!..roll on my second fill on tuesday!.was hoping to be a supermodel for summer!! (ha!) maybe next summer!..but as long as the scales go in the right direction..and never back up..ill be having to wait!! slowly and steadily for me! x

:confused: garry, your scales sound great, just like the ones that wendy at WLS has.. I need some of them!..think bigsister found some similar at half price on "boots" website. I have some of the Tanita ones that tell you how much percentage of fat your body is made up of...mine is still nearly half!, think it should be a quarter or summat..not sure!? hope your doing well anyway x

Yes mmm!.it was this naughty sister!..i fist ever met chris when i was on the operating table and he was leant over me with frederick in their scrubs!!..i just thought ooh two fit blokes looking like they had stepped off set of "ER" and im laid here with no make up on!..they had got me mixed up with a flemish woman in my room who had already seen chris for pre op..i wasnt complaining and it was 8am..so didnt wanna go back up to the ward and wait..he apologised and read me my rights then i sat up on the operating table with all my drips in to read and sign the consent form..i didnt feel in the slightest worried at that point,they knew what they were doing, and i was more than happy to put myself into their hands (!) and 2 mins later i was asleep, the theatre staff were lovely esp the anaesthatist. the op took 35 to 40 mins. i did feel a bit guilty when the flemish woman came back up at 6.45pm though!

mmm and wishfull are right..think tullia is very pushy and i got fed up of her bolshy phone calls,every day for 2 weeks even tho id only made a simple enquiry online about the price!. i just let the aswer phone be bombarded with messages, and she got quite angry!..you shouldnt be paying that up front, i didnt pay a penny til the day..i went with bridget at "europesurgery"which youll find a website for, you will get an answer and a date by the end of today if you go wiyh her, but think its bit cheaper to go with ecfs for the direct package with chris and fred, and your taxis, and hotel are included too. we booked them seperate online which was simple, but at least they do it for you.. also i know their communication is slow but they will get back to you...i got fed up of waiting thats why i went through bridget..Tullia just sounded too desperate for my custom and money and it put me off, i know others have been put off by her too. anyway whoever you choose youll get same op by chris at the end of the day and will be in great hands...good luck x

yes as wishfull says, you will probably find someone with the same date as you on this forum, if you book. there were three of us went at same time..me, wishfull and my sister "bigsister".. when we got there there were 7 being done in all(6 women,1 man), so there will be others in your room (3 patients per room) who are from uk but not on forum. but those not on forum probably havent found it like you...its a shame cos the support and advice you will get from us here is fantastic! gillian x

welcome mandy..we booked through europesurgery, with bridget but you can also book with "ecfs" which is more direct, as it is run by doctor chris and his assistant frederick. who ever you book with,like someone else said youll get the same op by chris, and the same care. a few of us on here did contact Tullia Law but found her a bit pushy, i just emailed her a simple enquiry and you have to put your phone number on..i expected to get an email back, but i was bombarded with phone calls every day for about 2 weeks,so she put me off a bit. Bridget at europesurgery was more approachable. also ecfs is booking direct, they might be a bit slow to answer enquiries etc but lots on here have used their package and everything has gone well for them. they all have different ways, some you pay beforehand, some after, but dont worry, there are no cons either way. evryone is bit worried about going abroad and the hospitals etc, but we have all found the hospital.staff and of course doctor chris and frederick to be excellent..the hospital is like a private one over here, its pristine and modern,very proffessional..no worries there..and doctor chris is a respected bariatric surgeon who does bands all day, hes done more than 4000 without complication, and uses the most up to date bands also. let us know when and if you decide to go ahead with it!? Yes flirty, youll soon be there, 14/16 is a perfect healthy size for you at 6 foot..i wish i was 6 foot, im even smaller than wishfull at just over 5 foot!..and id love to be a size 14/16 at mo! lol! my ideal size is a 12..at my age, and with my stretched bod i need a bit of padding behind the saggy bits to smooth em out! I remember at 18years old being horrified at being a 12, and wouldnt even wear jeans cos i thought i was too fat for them!!..oh if i could get those days back!! x

oh yes, meant to say that if there anything said on face book that you dont want anyone to see, just go to "edit" at side of post and you can delete it..i did when a friend from work asked me about my operation!..its ok though if its "wall to wall" though cos only you and them can see it
