Hmm!..how do you know hw was up at 4am flirty?!..flirty, i have been looking into tummy tucks for about 5 years or more now...i have looked at everything and i have never heard of a tummy tuck like what fred said!..there is the mini abdominoplasty where they remove a flap of overhanging skin just above the pubic bone..and there is the full abdominoplasty which most people have, that cuts a "smile" shape of skin from your belly button to just above the pubic bone, they loosen the skin from the muscle up to your breast bone and pull it down to meet the bottom bit..they then pull the divided stomach muscles together and stitch them tight and they then make you a new belly button..sounds awfull dosnt it, but it looks fantastic. even the women with folds of fat skin haging down to their knees only need this op..so cant understand what fred was on about?..i think doctor chris only does the mini tummy tuck, but think there is another doctor at that hospital who does the full one, seem to think its about £2300 over there. i would love it done but cant afford it, ill have very little chance of getting it on NHS, ill be saving up for years again, like i was for the band..i will prob go in the uk like you though where the full tummy tuck costs between 5 and 6k on average. good luck anyway x

Hi Mmm!..I found it!..bigsister told me what to do, and it was just like you say. anyway..i looked at that and it is interesting isnt it, everyones different. also i looked at the what does restriction feel like thread...it seems everyone is different on that subject too! x

I have made some tonight too! it said on the pack you could do it in the microwave so i did and it was fine..i mixed 1 oz ground rice wth half pint semi skimmed milk and supposed to put half ounce sugar, but i used some of that granulated sweetener, and it was fine for me. mixed together you put it in on full power for 2 min..then stir..and then just keep giving it 1 min and then stir until its at boiling point...then let it stand and it thickens as it cools. it seems easier to do it on the stove top in a pan though cos you can be stirring it constant..I did half the amount cos i didnt wanna risk me eating it all!..but even then it did me and my little boy..he had it with banana cut up in it. its a good one though to have couple of days after a fill.

hey Mmm, that sounds interesting!..where do i find this poll?!youll have to give me instructions as im rubbish on computer!. wendy did say that she could now feel the pressure as the band was tightening...before i got to 5.25ml..she said it was just filling the tube..like a flat bike tyre being pumped up..so it is now officially..under pressure!.bigsister has the same as me in but shes not got the restriction i have yet...but suppose i have much more fat around my stomach for the band to tighten up around as im more than 3 stone heavier than her..and that is why you can lose your sweet spot as the fat goes from between the band and stomach..and you have to have fills after losing more weight. x

i know, it sounds daft that, but its true, sometimes if your not eating enough, it can slow or stop your weight loss. maybe it was just cos you were having just drinks then?..perhaps its summat to do with the acids in the stomach producing gas if were not eating too much or summat?!..maybe, we'll never know?! it is a mystery! x

still have the restriction..im getting used to it now though, and eating accordingly ie. eating slower, chewing more and not as much on my plate..i am mushing up or pureeing stuff too..im still in the frame of mind that im not gonna have a fill next week, but ill see how it goes..i think i have lost summat this week..a couple of pounds at the least..but ill let you know on tues after my next fill..as i am going with what their scales say..that pain in my shoulder has disappeared too..i wonder if its owt to do with the weather being warmer?..i wonder if it was cold while you were walking or you were tensing up a bit?..cos it disappeared when you got in the car didnt it?..oh, i dunno! but it seems like we get it bad and we have both had broken collar bones!. lets hope that this next fill will get you moving again..it was my 3rd and it def did summat to me. x

:smile:hi flirty, just wondered if when you went for your fills you had come across a girl from dublin called Tracey Stapleton?..she was in the bed at the side of me in belgium, and wondered how she was going on..shes a lovely girl with long dark hair..she wasnt on the forum tho..she said a lot of her friends had had the band and they were all slim now!..anyway, if you hear her name called in the waiting room while having a fill..just say hi to her from gillian will you and give her my best wishes!. thanks! x

yes best keep off those easter eggs then!...well done so far, youve done fantastic!.. i will ask wendy about the clinics they use and how michelles went if shes had it done yet. i have seen some bad results with arm lifts(lumpy, uneven, dark scarring etc)..where i thought that their bingo wings woulda looked better!..so its important you see some before and after pics as wishfull says. im sure youll find someone good, with all your research x

i saw that prog on tv..michelle didnt have it done straight away as she had just found out she was pregnant. when i spoke to michelle i wanted to ask her about her pregnancy/baby etc but didnt like to,i thought it might have said summat on web siite or an announcement in news letter we get, but nothing mentioned..i will ask my fill nurse next week, shell know, ill ask her if shes had the surgery done yet too. do the hospital group do those type of arm lifts?..ill have a look round, but the best thing is a recommendation from someone who has already had it done isnt it. i got a list from wls of very reasonable priced surgery..prob at that clinic, mc indoe did you say?. good luck with your research anyway x

ive read about the different ways they can do the arm lift and it sounds like you would do really well with the one they do from the arm pit like carrie says..esp as its only the top part of your upper arm, your young and will have good healing skin id have thought too..but you wouldnt see a scar with that one...hope you find a surgeon to do a good job x

unless bigsister replies to you first, i will give you the recipe my mum wrote down tommorrow, think its something like pint milk (any milk, skimmed whatever) sure she said ounce of ground rice and ounce of sugar, mix it all up in pan and keep wisking (my mum used balloon wisk) until its to the boil, then its done. but its so cheap and easy...im sure your baby will love it!

Hi sammy, not tried cous cous yet, but can imagine its one of the things id get stuck too..its sort of sticky and stodgy like rice suppose...does any of your friends who you went out with for lunch know about your band?. the ground rice was nice esp with little blob of strawberry jam!..my mum showed me how to make it earlier, its amazingly quick and easy!..and my youngest son has gone a bundle on it too, so ill be making pans full!. I am sure that having this band will help you in your next pregnancy, and youll breeze through it! x

:smile:Flirty, i have just been reading in my gastric band book about that...you can lose any restriction you have as you lose weight, as you are losing weight off your organs too. you have layers of fat around your stomach under the band and as you lose the weight the fat dissappears and the band "loosens" so you need it re filled to get some restriction again. and yes, the lower your BMI, the slower you will lose the weight too..you will still lose it but slower..so nobody be worrying! x

:smile2:Hi everyone!..i still have a lot of restriction yes..on curry night i had about half a popadom with mint yoghurt sauce, and it was getting really uncomfortable. i only had about 2 teaspoons of curry sauce, no meat for main meal, no way could i have had any naan bread..i havent been able to tolerate any bread from day 1. i then had some egg custard which i made quite sloppy, that went down ok..sunday, i managed mashed carrot and turnip with plenty of gravy, but mash potato, infact any potato is very uncomfortable. i could manage some easter egg after though!...im gonna have to watch my chocolate intake cos i am a chocoholic and it goes down very easily.. I dont know if this restriction will ease now,but if it doesnt i wont be having another fill for a month at least, ill just spend some time getting used to this and see if i get any weight loss results from it. Hope everyone else is doing ok anyway x
