I hate most of the Protein they are soooooo nast and I'm soooooo picky. but only get one to two at a time I bought all three and the went rancid before I could get them all used up and like you said they are $$$$$$.

  2. Hi gang, It is true after surgery you can lose your hair. Our bodies are going through a lot of stress and many times it comes out as hair lose. I have been in the hair industry for 25 yrs and there really are some things out there that help with hair lose or regrowth. There is a product called Nioxin you can get it at and Regis salons.

i.e. supercuts, regis, mastercuts, robin todds, smart style ect. You can also look online at nioxin.com and there is lots of info there. We have a few Dr's who have sent their bypass and cancer clients in to get it. It really can help. But it isn't an over nigh thing it takes about two months to see a driffence. Hope that helps

  3. Go with the band!:Banane20: It maybe slower than the bypass but much safer. Just remeber they are tools and you have to learn to use them. And you are not alone so don't get freaked out. We are all here to help.:)

    Good luck.

  4. I don't know it is still kind of new here. I have been doing a bite of reseach on it. It seems everyone you talk to has a diffrent story. Some people are getting them once they reach their goal with the band. Some bandster are giving up on the band and going with the sleeve. One doc said that the band and the sleeve are only half the solution that neither of them work as well as the mini bypass which is the sleeve and a smaller bypass. I think the verdick is still out on that one. I think they are all tools and which ever one you choose you have to learn to make it work for you.

  7. :confused:MY nurse says they only do sleeves on very morbidly obeast(sp?)

people. But what I have learned is that a lot of people are having it done afrter they lose there band wieght. What's up with that? She also said that it doesn't work for very long.:D how can she know that when there isn't that many years of research it there? isn't the sleeve pretty new like the last 5yrs? I still got lots of questions.

  8. You should come to my nurse she always numbs ya first. I can't believe that that wouldn't holy cow that would suck. I had a new nurse once and she did'nt wait long enough for the numb and it hurt like HECK! So I have felt your pain hang in there and just ask for the numb stuff first. Oh yea way to go on your lose!

  9. Yeah go with the sleeve thing. That will be my next move. My band is not working anymore. I did really well the first year  then hit a brick wall. :blink:It doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat I'm still stuck at the same number. Then in sept I got in a car wreck and I've gained 30lbs

on three bite a meal. I swear I'm straving. I will be the only fat person to ever starve to death and still be fat. LOL!!!! Yapp the sleeve is for me.

  10. Hi Lisa,

I know what you are going through I was banded in 2005. Lost 70lbs the first year and then got stuck. Fill unfill fill unfill a vicious cycle. Then last sept I was in a car wreck and since then have gained 30lbs back. I threw away all my fat clothes so I'm reall uncomfortalbe. Right now my band is so tight if I eat more than three bites I throw-up. But I'm still gaining. I am planning on going back to the gym this week. I will have to go slow I broke my neck and back in several places. I have soft tissue damage that is the worst. So slow I will go. I'm 42 in november and I have 100lbs to go. I will cheer you on if you will cheer me on.

    your new buddy

    Amy

  11. Yeah the nighttime eating...That's a thought. I started in my first marrage. It was stress I tell you! Eating at night calmed me down.It really is like a drug. I gained 100lbs in 6 months. I don't do it so much anymore. I eat in sceret now in the car when I'm by myself. That's still a problem.

  12. :thumbup:Thanks everyone for your support. I'm still struggling.:confused2:I had started loosing again and was in a car wreck. They unfilled me fill me unfilled me filled me, and now I have gained 30lbs back. Right now my band is pretty tight. I've got to be very careful, or I throw up. but I'm still gainnig. Go figure????? But I have not given up. I'm very greatful for my band. And for all of you who are in this with me. Bless your little hearts.
