  1. I had a LBL in Jan of 09 I was out of work for 14 weeks, but thats due to me being in law enforcement. I needed alot of help for the first week and then it soon tapered off. I wished now that I would have had the breast lift with implants the same time but I decided to do that at a later date. I am a 40dd and would like to stay that or a d, my gf had a breast lift and dropped two cup sizes I do not want that. I also was about 15 pds from the goal and I have yet got to my goal weight. I only went down one-two sizes depending on what I wear, but boy does my back hurt less. I am looking at doing an inner thigh lift maybe the same time as my breasts, but I haven't decided due to very few people being overly happy with the inner thgih results. Wish you the best!!!

  2. Well the lift is 3350 and the implants with lift is 4350, but I use a ps in Mexico. I think the cost for the lift in the states is 6000 and the implants another 2000. I think its like double here. I am happy with my size just worried that they will look perky but flat on top without implants. i think I have pretty much decided to just go for the gusto and do both. I am also considering a thigh lift, however haven't heard alot from people that did that.

  3. I am planning to have breast lift in 2010 and I am currently a 42d. My ps states that I will not need implants, but I feel that I will not be happy with the tops of my breasts. Has anyone had the surgery without implanys and had to go back in or were unhappy with the results. Also how many sizes did you go down after the surgery. The cost of the lift is real cheap as well as the implants and lift, so there is just a minor difference. Please let me know what you think.

  4. I have had a lbl in Jan 09 and I had never had children, however the dr did muscle repair. I was thinking that I would'nt need it due to not having children but when you gain and lose weight you stretch your muscles. I am happy with my results but it was quite a recovery. I was on pain meds for 10 days and didn't sleep in my bed until week 3. I am going to have a breast lift in 2010 and I am currenlty a 42d but I will opt for implants due to everyone that had surgery regretted not having implants after the lift. The lift not only makes them smaller but it doesnt help the fullness. Hope all this helps ask any questions and I will try to answer them.

  5. I had no reservations regarding the surgery, in fact I decided and booked it all in less than a month. I have contacted Dr Manuele's office and they are of no help to me. They did not return my call and they insist on files and records that I do not have access to. I am not impressed with their lack of enthusiasm with helping me even though they no that I am over-filled. They also advised me the Dr determines wether I would need a fill/unfill, I am sorry but I know my body better than he does. I am the only person that dictates that. Good luck to you and it does take time to find a sweet spot. I had my fill in March and it wasn't over tight until almost a month later.

  6. Yes I had two drains and I wished I wouldn't have stayed down there so long with hopes of having my drains removed. I thought I was going to have them removed in 10 days but one was two weeks and the other 3 weeks. It really wasn't that bad other than the thigh Lipo which I would never do again nor recommend. That was the most painful not the incision. I had a LBL with the thigh lipo and the LBL was easy compared to the lipo. I am getting ready to have a breast lift next year and possibly a thigh lift we shall see haven't made my mind up on that one yet.

  7. I used Dr Quiroz at Cos Med I believe he does all kinds of plastic surgery. You can go on his web site cos med and look at the many before and after pics/ I liked his office and I liked the way they worked there. I am going to have my breasts lifted next year by him, this year I had a LBL with Lipo. I also am looking into an inner thigh lift. I would definately use him again.

  8. I had a lbl at the end of January and I am wearing the same size I know that they removed 15 pounds of skin, but its very frustrating to be in the same size. I was wondering if anyone else ha dthe same issue ( I will probably be the only one)? I am still wearing the binder for the next 3 weeks and there may be a bit of swelling but still I am sad. Hubby says well your butt is alot smaller and you dont have a pouch (he's very loving and encouraging) Please help. Thanks

  9. I have a ques regarding my incision. I am 4 weeks out and I have 2 spots about the size of a nickle on each side of my groin towards my hip that are not healing great. They appear to be a bit yellowish (kinda like puss) but I am on clendamycin 3 times daily form my reg dr. I have a few issues. Is it normal for some areas to heal so quick while others drag? My back looks as if I had the surgery a year ago. Also what should I do other than keeping the area dry, using bentadine to cleanse,a nd the antibitoics. I will probably go see my reg dr next Tues. I am just curious on what else I could be doing to make this area heal quicker? Thanks

  10. I am 18 days out from a lower body lift. I stopped taking pain meds 2 weeks out. I also had thigh Lipo which was far worse than the LBL. I havent had alot of issues with the binder I like it it feels good and holds me in. The drains are a pain but I only have 1 left. I had two things done and to be honest I could have had the boobs done and it probably wouldnt have been that bad. Its better just to get it done and over with. Good luck with your recovery.

  11. Dr Schulman,

I had a LBL with thigh Lipo 2 weeks ago and was wondering if it is normal for the drainage to be different colors from the different sides? My left one hurts and is much darker than the right side. I also swell more on my left. I am going to my private doctor on Tuesday and I am still taking antibiotics just in case. I had the LBL in Mexico and I really dont feel like taking the 5 hour drive back to my PS. Can you also tell me the standard amount of drainage that they will let you take the drains out? THANKS

  12. I have chose Cos Med in TJ for my LBL I looked in the states and the cost are double what I will pay down there. I also will be receiving one week of aftercare which is not available here in the states. Most PS isn't covered by insurnace anyways so that covers that topic I believe like 2 out of 10 might be after years of fighting or insurance battles. I am one week away from having the procedure and can't wait. I will post pics and let you know how I am doing and what I thought of it.

I can tell you that I did have my lap band down in Mexico and ended up having the best care after a surgery I ever had. The nurse to patient ratio is unbelievable down there. Here its 10 patients to one, down there its one nurse to two patients. I will keep you posted!!!

  13. Yeh I have taken 12 weeks off, due to working in law enforcement and not wanting to damage anything. I will be really bored I guess I will take up reading HA HA!!! I am a tight size 14 and will hopefully go down to a 10 and I also will be receiving a fill after the surgery to help lose the weight!!
