  1. Sorry for the slow response. I haven't been on lapbandtalk lately. I've lost 66 lbs. and am 14 from my goal as of 2 or 3 weeks ago. (My boyfriend has hidden the scale from me!) I may have lost another pound or so since then... feels like it. He's going to set up an exercise routine we can do together and wants me to wait to start weighing myself again until then.

  2. You do look pretty small in your pic. I'm starting to have to pull up my 18s. Woohoo! I have all sizes in my closet. I'll have to get out my 16s and try them on soon. I have all the way down to 6s. I was 6/8 from 2001-2004. I worked really freaking hard for that. I'm hoping with the lap-band I'll only have to work hard, not "freaking hard." lol

  3. Oh boy do I know that feeling! I refer to myself as chubby, too. I'm a size 18 and must have heard 5 times in the hospital "You don't really need this surgery - or -You're not that big." I've lost the weight several times on my own, but it's such a damn struggle and I eventually gain it back. I'm tired of the roller coaster.

  4. Hi Chelsea. Thanks for the friend request. I wish the lap-band was available when I was 18! It could have saved me years of struggling with my weight. Good for you for taking this positive step toward being a happy, healthy adult.

  5. Hi Cecile. It seems it varies greatly from doctor to doctor. I'm on day 18 after my surgery and this is my first day of pureed foods. I ate squished up scrambled eggs for breakfast and well-blended tuna salad for lunch. I actually didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would either. New York City is a tempting place to be if you're a food addict. Good luck!
