  1. I was banded in 2009. I didn't lose much weight and i got depress. In 2010 a neurologist thought i was having seizures because my speech was slurred and i wrote like a 2yr old. In July of 2011. I thought i had a stroke, but after all the test, including a spinal tap. I found out i had MS, this explained a lot of things, like why i could no longer take zumba and why i was so depressed and fatigue. Seizures(ok) a misdiagnosis is what it was. Anyway Im BACK and ready to defeat this weight and the MS issues. Had a MRI today and i got my go ahead to get back on track. Im BACK to walking and have a fill scheduled for 11/14. Im restarting my Protein Shakes and zumba soon. My starting weight is 261.3 i will post every Tuesday my new weight. With a lot of praying and support from this forum i know in 6 mos i

will be below the 200 mark. Please join me on my journey to a healthy me fighting a chronic illness like MS. THE FIGHT IS JUST STARTING BUT THE BATTLE IS ALREADY WON....POST YOUR PROGRESS ****PLEASE****

  2. This is the doctor I've chosen.

He seems like he really knows what he's talking about and speaks to his patients like they are real people.

He says that obesity is a disease and should be treated as such.

After my seminar, for the first time, I actually felt like I had hope.

Has anyone else had experience with Dr. Gorjala?

Did you have surgery and how are you now? Dr. Gorjala did my surgery and I think the whole staff is great.

  3. When were you banded? How much have you lost? What are you eating? Are you getting a lot of Protein in? Do you weigh/measure your food? Are you exercising? Do you drink your Water?

We can't help you without knowing at least some of that. Give us some details maybe we can pinpoint what may be slowing down your loss.

Ok here is the answers. I was banded Dec 09. have only lost 30 pounds. I can eat anything nothing makes me feel full not even after a fill. It only hurts really bad going down no matter how soft or how long i chew it. I eat more than my share of Protein. no i do not have time to measure my food. exercise 3 times a week 30 min. not enough Water.< /p>

  4. I was banded December 02 2009. I wonder myself if my band has slipped or something. I cant be doing this all wrong. I have only lost about 30 pounds, how crazy is that.

So I am starting to wonder if my band has slipped.....or if I am just eating because I am bored.

I started a New Years Resolution and it included not taking phentermine's and redbull daily for energy....So here I am and now I am constantly eating. So my question is what does it feel to have a slipped band....Can you tell when it slips? I don't have the pain or anything like that..Just seems like I am constantly eating. I am scared, because I have no insurance anymore...So everything is out of pocket for me. How much does it cost to have fixed if it is slipped?

Like today, I have eaten and eaten...and I do feel full. But in bout and hour I will prolly eat again..I am at 7ccs and don't feel the restriction like I did when i was at 7ccs before. (Overfilled and had to take all out and start over again). Is it possibly a slippage? Or is it prolly all in my head?
