  1. Started 5k training today, I have done 5k before but only walking this time I want to jog one. I only wk.out a total of 25 min. today so I need to kick that up. I feel and sleep so much better when I wk.out it is the greatest drug out there even better than choc. Tomorrow 30 min. weights. How do I do a ticker tape I am so not smart when it comes to comps.:thumbup:


  2. Barney--I had my arms lifted and since I was going to be under, I decided to have a boob lift and a small implant--same size bra, but fuller and cleavage! Watch out!

    No one sees; I did it for me!

    I do not want big knockers just really need them lifted they sag so bad it looks deformed. I got mastites(sp) w/ one of my kids and it really ruined them. Money is such an issue though. I am glad you are happy w/ yours.


  3. I take effexor and so far I have not had a prob. swallowing. I have heard many times to put the powder in applesauce. I have so many ?s to ask u about prozac and anxiety. I know it works for depression just so worried it would put me over the edge on anxiety I have constant anxiety it never stops I am fine on my meds. but should change. I do not know if u know about effexor or not but I do need to get off eventually. Please keep in touch.

    I think I can answer this! I have had more than 5 fills and been banded 4 months.

    So i want to suggest that your band still is not tight enough. I believe the band should be tight enough that even really well chewed food should be a little restricted and fill the "stoma".

    I had the EXACT symptoms you described 2 fills leading up to my last one. I felt good restriction but could easily "eat around" the band by chewing.

    This last fill was like magic..at first i was scared it was too tight and it took a few days..but now im dialed in by going tighter.

    I can even describe how it feels, if I drink a cold thick Protein Shake I can feel the band..not pain but I feel the drink pass through. That was the magic tighness for me because at that point well chewed NON Liquid food backs up a little.

    To be clear..it doesnt get stuck but it takes a while to go down.

    Here is another way I identify being "dialed in"... Say I eat a couple ounces of well chewed chicken. If I take a swig of Water I will burp up all the water and the food along with it. Why? Because the food is still trying to go down and water has no where to go so it gets bletched up.

    My guess is you dont have this experince. You probably either get stuck..or it goes down.

    Soooo, my infinate wisdom is tighten that sucker up!

    No doubt someone will reply back and explain why everything I said is wrong - just ignore them.

  5. I hope someone here can help w/this ? about the lapband. I do not know how to start a new thread so I thought this looked like a good spot for my concerns. If u chew chew chew so food does not get stuck then it must go through to the bigger part of your stomache, in this case u can still eat alot. If food does not go through then it is stuck trying to go through and u vomit it back up. Can anyone please explain how the band works or is suppose to. Thankyou


  6. Please help w/this ? I am about in tears trying to figure all this out. If you chew chew chew so the food does not get stuck then it must go through to the bigger part of your stomache, in this case u can still eat alot. I have had 5 fills I can eat tons still as long as I really chew and I do eat alot. I have only lost 20 pounds in 8 months I thought I understood how this works but I am know cofused.


  7. Today's my 6-month bandiversary, and I'm down 82 lbs. :rockon:

    Edit: I missed the "how?" part of your message. Basically, I follow the band rules most of the time, drink my Water, limit sugar, white flour, and trans/saturated fats. After the first 50-60 lbs., I started exercising, and have steadily progressed with that until I'm now doing a spin class 5-6 days a week plus strength training 2-3 days a week. I don't believe in keeping a "too tight" band, because I want to be able to eat Breakfast and solid Proteins. Oh, and I didn't use any Protein supplements until recently (due to the strength training).

  8. I finally kicked my butt and kicked it good and started working out. I had surgery Dec. 31, 09. I have lost apr. 25# I joined a gym that is just like curves w/ lots of x-tras love it! Only thing is it is in an old mortuary and I am such a 47yr. old chicken. I guess I better get over it. I would love to have a ticker tape but have given up on that. My goal to start is atleast 3 times a week at gym and some x-tra out door walks. Have a great week.


  9. Well, I think we create heaven and hell right here on earth, we're living it NOW. If you're a good person, good things come to you. If you do wrong by others, well, what goes around comes around. You dont need to believe in God to think of it this way.

    Patty seems to have gone. She's probably down at the mall glaring daggers at breastfeeding mothers for being so evil and immodest.

    I agree w/you when I see trees and young children playing, (whether they are gay or not) nature in all her glory, to me that is heaven. I love my life here and I do good I am not perfect and some of the stuff I have done would be considered wrong by some, but I have never intentionally hurt someone or any critters. So if there is a heaven I get to go. We just need to be nice to each other, unless the other sucks then you can be onery to them.:ohmy:
