I feel the exact same way. I do not get a fill until Jan. 6th. I am still keeping with the reduced portions, I just feel as though I could eat a lot more. I weight loss has also slowed way down so I am definitely ready for a fill.

Was banded on the 10th. Went back to work on the 13th and am doing really well. Granted I am sick and tired of creamy Soups but oh well....doctor's orders. I am super excited...I have lost 21 pounds total. Only 4 of those were lost the week before surgery. Good Luck to everyone!

I ordered my Protein Powder from www.unjury.com. I read about it here on lapbandtalk.com. It is really not too bad. It is a lot smoother in texture than the stuff I bought from GNC. They even send you recipes with your order. Hope this helps.

I am so glad this thread was started. I have surgery tomorrow. I was about to start a thread for any last words of wisdom, but this covered it. Hope to be back online Tuesday. Unfortunately lovely Tricare is making me spend the night in the hospital.

I have Tricare Prime(South) and they require you to stay the night or they will not pay. So it sounds like I will be staying the night.

For some reason when I click on it it does NOTHING! You can try to click on mine and see if it takes you there. We are the same day, how cool. Are you on a pre-op diet? I am dying on mine!! I was tricare approved as well, are you all stationed at Wichita Falls? My hubby was there many times.

I had the choice of low carb or liquid diet. Of course, I chose low carb that way I could eat something but it sure isn't any fun. Yes, my husband is stationed at Sheppard AFB here in Wichita Falls. We moved here from Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX. I can't stand it here but at least we stayed in Texas (I guess...:rolleyes2:)

Hey there! The only way I found to update mine was to click on the ticker after I had replied to someone. That took me to the page where I entered my password and I was able to update it then. But then you have to copy and paste the whole thing again. I see that we are having surgery on the same day! Good Luck to you!

No prob. I created my ticker at tickerfactory.com. Once you get it created, copy the html code. Go back to edit your lapbandtalk profile. Select edit signature. Paste the html code into the area where you can type something. Then preview signature and it should work. Hope this works!

I just received notification that my surgery will also be on the 10th. I am super excited but also very nervous. I have been eyeing this little black dress but have not bought it yet. I just might go buy it now that I know I am on my way. Good Luck!!

I have Tricare Prime(South). I had to have a referral from my PCM and it was to a civilian psychologist. They would not refer me to someone on base. I did not have to pay anything out-of-pocket. My visit was a breeze. It really and truly was just a visit. I was not administered any type of test. He said that Tricare only wants to know 3 things: Have I ever been hospitalized for a psychological disorder? Have I ever seen by a psychologist on a regular basis? Have I ever been prescribed any type of psychological drug? We talked about my husband, our dog, and my family and that was it. Super easy. Hope yours is as easy as mine. Good Luck!

Found out this morning that my doctor is out of the office today and tomorrow so I won't know until Wednesday. ggggggrrrrrrr!!!! Sure wished that the receptionist would have told me that on Friday but no instead she said, "I will give your chart to Dr. Finnnell on Monday and we will call and get you scheduled Monday morning"With the way my day was going, I just wanted to say, "LIAR, LIAR, LIAR"Congrats again!!!

Same to you! I am in Wichita Falls, TX which is about 2 hours west of Dallas. Where are you located? Are you thinking that your date will be at the beginning of November?

I also found out today that I am approved. I hope to get my surgery date on Monday. I am so excited but yet so nervous. I can't believe that I am actually going to finally get the lapband. Yea!!!!

That is awesome that your husband wants to go with you. When the hubbies are that supportive, it seems to make things easier. Mine was super supportive as well. He understands that I have been battling my weight for a long time and this is the best thing for me.

I had my nutrition appointment today. I was told that I will be required to get in 60 grams of Protein every day.....I was shocked. The Designer Whey(there are several others out there as well) is one way of getting extra Protein.< /p>

I have Tricare Prime (South) and did not have to pay for the Psych Eval. My PCM gave me the referral for the Psych Eval. You might see if that would make a difference. I did had to pay $75 today for the nutrition appointment. I have been told that the $75 and $12 copays is all I should have to pay for the whole thing.

Tricare can be very fickle. Several providers choose not to accept it because of that reason.

I also have Tricare Prime. I had my required psych eval and my surgical consult today. The only costs that I am going to be out are: $75 for the dietician appt on wednesday and then $12 office visits after the surgery. You might want to look into the $700 that they are making you pay. Good Luck!

I have Tricare Prime and I did not even get to pick my PCM. One day I received a letter in the mail telling me who my PCM was. Now, of course, if I don't like him, I have to go through the hassle of asking for a new one. So far so good......he was on board with the Lap Band so I had no problem getting the referral (except for the fact that he referred me to a different surgeon from the one I requested - but that was easy to change). If you become a registered user on the www.humana-military.com website, it should tell you who your PCM is. Hope this helps.

Congratulations on finally getting approved!! You must be relieved. I am so ready to be in your shoes. I go monday for my psych eval and my 1st consult with the surgeon. We will see how it goes after Monday. Good Luck on your journey!
