Again, thanks for everything. Say a little prayer for me and off I go tomorrow morning for preop edu and the surgery Wed morning. I will post Thursday when I get home and let you know how it went. I am drinking the Unjury shakes also and I really like them. I order the chicken soup flavor the other day (hoping it will get here before surgery so I can taste it). I have tried the vanilla and choc and both are pretty tasty. I recommend trying them! I like to add vanilla extract to the vanilla one. Makes it taste like a milkshake:cursing:. The web site is www.unjury.com and the prices are pretty reasonable. $18.95 for 16-18 8oz shakes.

OK, surgery is in 3 days!!! I leave Tuesday morning to drive to the town where I am having it done, then surgery on Wed @ 8:30a. I am getting VERY NERVOUS!!!! Any last advice/tips for me? I will only be able to get on the web until Tuesday morning @ 6:00, then not again till I get home from surgery on Thursday. So, if I dont respond, thats why. This is it.....the days have come!!! Excitied but oh so nervous......

Joann, thanks for the encourging words and Justmeuknow thanks for the recipe. I am on a preop diet of protien and protien shakes. Not to bad....getting kinda nervous, but VERY EXCITED!!! Im ready to get the show on the road. Congrats to all the Dec Bandsters!!! 12 days and counting.....Dec 3 here we come:eek::smile2::thumbup:

So nice to hear from you. Im hanging in there, doing my preop diet. What a time to do a diet with the holidays, but I just remind myself of the end reward!!! I am getting really nervous about my surgery. I am a surgery nurse, so I know what happens in the OR, and Im still trying to figure out if knowing is a good or bad thing. I know Im going to be a crazy mess on surgery day.....11 days and counting

He he, "Bandland"....I really like that. Yes, a little more than two weeks and counting!! Dec 3 is the day. Very nervous and VERY EXCITED. Thanks for the gas and hubby hints. He already knows I am going to put him to work for the first few days. I appericate all the hints and tips I can get, so if you think of anything else, let me know. Hello everyone. I finally got approved (after 9 months) and my date is Dec3 or Dec4. I am so excited:biggrin::Dancing_sorry:!!! Yes, a bummer because of the holidays, but oh well, this time next year we are going to be lookin' good. Did someone say they had a protien shake reciepe for eggnog? Please, give it to us. YUMMMM!! Congrats to you and thanks for posting on my blog. You were the first to comment and I thank you for that. I will also pray for you that all the pieces will finally fall together and both of us will be a mommy some day soon. I just got word that I am approved for the surgery and my date is Dec3 or Dec4. I will find out 4 sure on monday. Keep me informed on your journey and I will do the same!!

Hello everyone. I am new to this blog and very excitied to finally get some answers...Hopefully I will be banded with in the next 30 days, still waiting on insurance approval:frown:. I have been diagnosed with PCOS for about 6 years now and have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years, without any luck. I have been through Clomid-3 months worth, and Metformin-currently 1500mg per day, and nothing seems to work. I am hoping that the weight loss from the LAP BAND will help me to reach my dream of becoming a mom one day. Is there anyone out there with the same story that has had some good outcomes????

I know how you feel...I have taken more preg/ovulation test (4 yrs worth) than I can count and it gets real old seeing that big - (or in your case..aunt flo)!!! :biggrin: Here is a BIG group hug from all of us. Vala-Hang in there:redface:. This was the story I got from my OB/GYN also, but 5 yrs ago. I also have a sever case of PCOS. After being on Metformin (for PCOS) and Provera for 5 yrs and 3 rounds of Clomid, still no sucess in the baby department. So not until about 9 months ago did I finally let myself come to reality....I need to lose a serious amount of weight before my dream of becoming a mommy comes true:blink:. I am currently waiting on insurance approval to have the Lap Band. Atleast you are already looking into a weight loss surgery and not wasting time. There are some really good stories about people getting the Lap Band, losing weight and then becoming prego. Although, I have not had the surgery, I think its a wonderful opition for people like me and you:thumbup:. -

Congrats CaliGirl626!! I know you have to be really excitied. I am still waiting on insurance approval to have my banding. Along with losing weight, getting pregnant is another BIG reason I want the band so bad. I have been trying for 5 yrs to get preggo, without a bit of luck!! Keep us updated on the viatmin research. I also was wondering about what to take when the time comes. -
