Hey girl!! WOW, I am sooooo sorry it has been so long since I wrote. As you may have read on the "Banded hoping to get Pregnant" blog, I lost my mother-in-law on 1/8/09 and it has been VERY tough ever since. She was the one that help pay for me to have the band so I could give her a grandbaby. She was SO excited that maybe, just maybe, her dreams of becoming a grandma were going to come true. Anyhow...not to go on and on, my mind has been so far out.

I miss talking to you and hope to get back in the grove. Any luck with the pregnancy thing?? Hope to hear from you soon. Oh ya, I officialy lost 27 pounds since surgery and have 4cc in my band. I got a feel yesterday and man, I cant eat anything. Its frustrating, but hopfully it will help with the weight :+) Talk to you soon...*Heather

Hey!! Just checkin in with you. Everything is going pretty good with the recovery. Incisions are almost healed and the only thing that kinda still hurts is the port site. Its getting better every day. I am down 11 lbs since surgery, but my stomach says it should be 50 !! I get hungry sometimes, but thats also getting better. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for the prayers....they worked. I went into surgery at 8:30 and out by 10:00. I came home (3 hr drive) yesterday about 7:00pm. It was one hell of a ride. I am feeling ok, port site HURTS LIKE HELL!! And just like you said....major gas. I have been sleeping and walking and pretty much thats it. I just took some pain meds so feeling kinds groggy right now, but just wanted to let you know how I was doing. Thanks for everything!! Oh, how long does the port site soreness last? It hurts all the time!! TTYS! Heather

OK, surgery is in 3 days!!! I leave Tuesday morning to drive to the town where I am having it done, then surgery on Wed @ 8:30a. I am getting VERY NERVOUS!!!! Any last advice/tips for me? I will only be able to get on the web until Tuesday morning @ 6:00, then not again till I get home from surgery on Thursday. So, if I dont respond, thats why. This is it.....the days have come!!! Excitied but oh so nervous......

So nice to hear from you. Im hanging in there, doing my preop diet. What a time to do a diet with the holidays, but I just remind myself of the end reward!!! I am getting really nervous about my surgery. I am a surgery nurse, so I know what happens in the OR, and Im still trying to figure out if knowing is a good or bad thing. I know Im going to be a crazy mess on surgery day.....11 days and counting . Hope all is well with you. Talk to you soon.....

He he, "Bandland"....I really like that. Yes, a little more than two weeks and counting!! Dec 3 is the day. Very nervous and VERY EXCITED. Thanks for the gas and hubby hints. He already knows I am going to put him to work for the first few days. I appericate all the hints and tips I can get, so if you think of anything else, let me know. Congrats to you and thanks for posting on my blog. You were the first to comment and I thank you for that. I will also pray for you that all the pieces will finally fall together and both of us will be a mommy some day soon. I just got word that I am approved for the surgery and my date is Dec3 or Dec4. I will find out 4 sure on monday. Keep me informed on your journey and I will do the same!!
